GloriousGbola: Are you in Nigeria? There is literally no artisan I do not do transfer to. That implies that your uneducated artisan also does internet banking. Or has a debit card. My mechanic. Plumber. woman I buy fruit from. maiguard. If I don't pay some of them on time they start blowing up my phone because they have not seen the alert.
The business discussed here is one with a high money turnover and I guarantee some customers would prefer to do transfer.
You may also not realize it, but the proliferation of cheap Android phones means literally everyone has an Android phone. Okada riders have them and watch and stream videos on them. I can understand some backwards thinking Nigerians advocating embracing difficulty, but I can't understand why you would do the same.
This entire story would not have taken place if this woman had simple sms alerts or banking app
A cheap and easily available service that eliminates the need to send someone to the bank. Don't believe that story |

Politics › Navy Clears Tinubu by Majesty7(op): 5:52am On Nov 03, 2023 |
•Navy, not Tinubu, requested yacht for operations – Presidency, Naval spokesman •Senate okays N17.5bn yacht, air fleet, Reps approve N546bn defence budget The National Assembly on Thursday approved the N2.18tn 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill forwarded to it for consideration by President Bola Tinubu. While the Senate approved the N5bn proposed for a presidential yacht in the budget, the House of Representatives cancelled the allocation and added it to the student loan, increasing the budget for the scheme to N10bn, up from the initial N5.5bn. The inclusion of the vote for the yacht in the budget had generated widespread criticisms of the Presidency but the Nigerian Navy clarified that the marine vessel was not meant for Tinubu, adding that it was a request by the service.https://punchng.com/reps-reallocate-n5bn-yacht-vote-navy-clears-tinubu/ |

I know you are daft but let me put you out of your misery since you've decided to shame your linage. In regards to presidential jet, in June 1999, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has transferred the fleet (jets) to be part of the schedule of the Chief of Staff to the President. So the COS controls it. His office maintains it and not the Air force. Yes, the Air force monitors it but the maintenance is out of their reach. Lastly, the president has no Yacht! Let that sink into your empty skull. Even if it has, the naval base won't be the ones to send in budget for it's maintenance. You are so dumb and stupid at the same time |

Peejayz: the school has up to 50 students there about.... They pay 15k - 25k.... Oh! Depending on his staff strength but such school shouldn't have more than 5 or max 6 staffs. I don't see why he shouldn't be able to pay the #10k per month without issues. His annual dues and all expenses can still be catered for even if 50% of pupils fails to pay per term ( 3months). He should be able to get loan to pay his staffs. They are the ones doing the job. The bad thing about this country is giving License or approval for people who can't manage a toilet to manage enterprise. Even at #15k per student for at 50% turnout, he should be a good manager and also allow you guys to engage in extra lessons to boost yourself. Low wagers are entitled to tips even in developed countries. Wish you the best. Try to collect your money and look for better options in area you might be overlooking thinking are meant for people with lower education. You will be surprised at what you will be making. However, before you leave there, make sure you collect all your dues. |

Peejayz: I started teaching at this private school in September. My salary is 10k per month ( I had no choice than to take the job due to alot of challenges I'm facing). My first salary, the man sent 5k (no joke) , I thought it was a mistake from his side , so I went to meet him in his office, he told it wasn't mistake....
I asked him how can I cope with 5k for a month, he said when student pay school fee, he will pay me my balance, I agreed with him ....
Then the next salary came in today , still 5k, I'm so angry and tired at this point... Alot of debt on my head .... 5k can't even clear them , not to talk of what I will use to feed myself.... This is unfair..... I plan to resign... But at this moment, I don't know where I will see money to feed .....
I'm confused at this point, I don't even know what I'm going to do at this point . Please how much is the average school fees? Like how many students are there? Try to see if you can be teaching students at home without leaving your teaching job. Sorry oo is not better you work in betting shops as attendant or at filling stations? Teaching job in developing private schools comes with lot of sacrifice. Your boss is also not a good employer. Even if he has issues, he should carry his workers along |

quadraheem: For self sufficiency, we are up to the task. We only need to put round pegs in round hole and you will see a lot of changes. Let the government provide enabling environment and also incentives for local producers. We just have to save our economy with a lot of exports and that will reduce our dependence on foreign exchange drastically. We can do it! I pray so |
Politics › Re: Declare State Of Emergency On Exportation Of Nigerian Produce by Majesty7: 5:53am On Oct 29, 2023 |
quadraheem: We keep on complaining about how weak is our local currency while we have enormous locally produced or grown items here in Nigeria that we can be exporting day in day out in order to earn foreign currency to strengthen the naira. It looks our government agencies and parastatals are not yet ready to assist Nigerians in achieving this.
A lot of our locally grown farm produces don’t see the light of the day or get to anywhere around the world as it should be considering our population advantage while other African countries get more export presence in every part of the world to earn foreign currency. We mostly concentrate on importing everything from abroad with several containers coming into the country fully loaded and unfortunately go back to their destinations empty loaded.
How do we want to strengthen our economy and make naira stronger if we don’t make exportation of our locally grown produce easily exportable.
Do you want to talk about the bottlenecks from our government agencies and parastatals, so discouraging and disappointing. It’s time for the federal government of Nigeria to declare a state of emergency in that sector and make things easy for those who are ready to take the enormous advantage of it.
Let there be more enlightenment on how to go about it and encourage a lot of local producers to earn greatly from exportation. More importantly, when we patronize what we produce locally and we end up exporting a lot outside the country, The economy will grow drastically and will be strengthened.
Our government should endeavor to sign as many as possible memorandum of understanding with various foreign countries in order to pave way for more local productions.
I am very sure a lot of farmers and local producers are ready to up their productions when they see a clear and easy path to earn more money.
Enough is enough seeing containers going empty loaded outside our shores.
We just have to be serious for once and be the change we desire. You people don't understand deeply. Do we have self sufficiency first? Why export when you haven't meet up with the needs of your citizens? Self sufficiency first and that will reduce the demand for forex, then gradually moving towards more export. This will reduce the harsh demands for forex and also strengthens the Naira. |
