Pls guys, take a chill pill. No one has touched your portals since the last time few people got sms to update their profiles. Let me be plain, dpr doesn't have that time to start looking through everyone's portfolio. People were basically selected based on their average interview and test scores -Federal character then follows.

Ths recruitment is not that complicated, a single computer application made the selection based on your average score, availability of position and federal character. These were the things considered, your master's degree etc don't even really count.

Dpr didn't contact anyone through phone calls or text, if you really did get a call or text, some scammers are messing with you and I pray you are careful. Why not just wait to see how things will unfold, stop all these spot-on fantasies.

There are a specific number of candidates needed for each position, you get shortlisted if you rank high according to your state and political zone.

Several candidates that made less than 50% were invited for the interview, and numerous candidates that did well in the test didn't get invited. It wasn't as if DPR was being biased, it was due to the fact that they had to reduce the number of applicants.

Let me quickly recap;

1. No changes were made on anyone's portal- i'm 100% sure of this
2. Dpr did not call any candidate- if you got called by a strange number saying he/she is from dpr, you are on your own
3. How can they start typing letters when COC is not yet available?
4. Your course of choice etc is not the primary yardstick, even if you have wrong information on your portal due to system error, you dont have a problem coz, if you're successful, dpr will still call you for documentation.
5. Federal character is basic
6. If you score less than 80, your chances are slim, however, someone who ranked 2nd in his state didnt get the job due to position availability
7. You know what, just take a chill pill and wait till the list is out; you can never really be sure.
8. I had a good laugh when some of you said, you were sure you did well; like for real? Did you even get to see your scores? How did you know you performed well?
9. Just forget these stories and hope for the best
10. The list is still @ fcc
........ and stop being gullible.

Ok, but you shouldn't take every information at its face value. Some of them will prove untrue at the end. Also remember that it was humans that compiled the list, not machine. And humans do use discretion in some scenarios.

This is not to give you false hope, but it is one of the realities of life. You may be surprised.

The few successful candidates contacted to update their portals had issues such as missing documents and files belonging to other candidates found on their profile etc. They were further asked to confirm other details like name, class of degree and position applied and were told they would receive a feed back. The same week, the candidates (non-merit) that made it were contacted for confirmation and asked to provide more details.

Portals will be updated when the APLs are ready for pick up.

Factors considered during the final selection process:
1. Two or more candidates were not picked from the same LGA. The one with the highest score was considered.

2. A candidate with an average score of over 70% will be more likely to succeed.

3. If you applied for a position that isn’t related to your discipline, you will be dropped.

4. Masters degree is an advantage

5. Class of degree

6. If you have a relation working in DPR, you will be dropped unless you have a strong backing.

7. Children of retired staff will most likely considered. Only about 10% made it to the interview on merit.

When they say majority is on merit...., they do not mean 100%. Surely there would be a couple that use connection to make it on the list but this recruitment won’t be as bad as the CBN one. What I heard was that the OND recruitment list was made up of mainly connected people so that this one would be majorly on merit. And for those that are doubting ow it’s possible, I heard that Shakur is very stubborn when he wants to be and has strong backing... He is also near retirement age so he has nothin to fear from any Oga at the top

I don't know where you got your information from but on good authority, No. 3 is not correct. The list got to FCC on Wednesday last week. Its with the Chairman and tagged "top secret". Nobody is permitted to see it until deliberations starts. This week is considered" Salah week" so most top management staff would have travelled. Expect considerations by next week when work fully resumes. This brief lecture is just to let you know that CoC has NOT (in capital letters) been issued. I can't tell for all other points stated by you but for CoC, has hasn't been issued.

Firstly, I never said everyone that did their interview in the 2nd week will hardly make it. I emphasised only on the candidates with strong connection (test absentees and those with low test scores) just only a few them will be considered. Many of them that were promised the job will be disappointed.

Ferguson was right about the June 10, the names had returned to DPR on the last week of May for preparation of the APLs. I repeat FCC has nothing to do with this. The APLs were the reason for the delay.

It took them a week (18-25, May) to work on the portals of the few successful candidates that had the glitch. This shouldn’t be a problem.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane, Mr Tata was expected to resume on the 15th Jan, 2018 from leave but was absent for over 2weeks (15th -26) after which the OND candidates were contacted on the 29th, Jan to pick up their APLs. The question is “where was Mr Tata?”.
Now back to the present, The Minister of State for Petroleum resources during his visit at DPR instructed them to conclude the recruitment before the end of May. Suddenly, Mr Tata disappeared from the office for 2 weeks using the same tact. I’m sure some of us can guess where he was. Within the period of his absence from office, few portals that had issues were resolved, the list was approved and sent back to HQ for APLs to be prepared.

Let me explain what I meant by obtaining 70% score in the interview. If you made it to the interview on merit, it means one may have scored above 70% in the test. Therefore, your average score can’t be less than a 70%. Federal Character was also a factor, let’s not forget that.
I know some people here have already known their fate. Kindly contact your source @ the HQ to check your name on the final list.

Let’s wait for the emails and sms to roll out this month.

Most of the merit candidates had their interview in the first week. For those that attended the interview in the 2nd week consisted of a few merit candidates, more of those that didn’t sit for the test and the others with poor test results (with strong connect). These VIP candidates were meant to be interviewed on the third week but Mr Tata decided to conclude everything on the 15th of Dec.

The few persons contacted that had issues with their portal made the final list. Hence, Most successful candidates were not contacted to update their portals.

The final list has been approved. You can confirm from the HQ, if your name appeared on the final list, which I believe is a mission impossible at this time unless you know the man at the top. Typing of APLs is the reason for the delay not FCC, they are taking their time to avoid mistakes. Believe me when I say this, some sources both at FCC and DPR will remain quiet, if possible give false info simply because their candidates were considered. It’s like signing a non disclosure agreement.

More will make it on merit and few by connection.

The thing tire me sef. Till now I have no idea what was going on in the dominant one’s mind . The poker face game was strong.

I strongly hope they consult with each-other for the final score but with the situation and the speed of “That is all”. There could only be two possible scenarios.

1) Anyone of them could edit the score slots while the other saw it on their laptop OR
2) Each had different platforms to input scores based on individual judgment, then there is some sort of average.

The first seems more likely.

Yes, salary is always stated on per annum basis. The allowances are not always stated, they will only tell you that you are entitled to other allowances. That letter is pure gibberish, noting more. I just wonder why some people will just sit dow and cook up trash.

Based on the Federal Character; you are still competing with people from your state (Lagos) for number of slots made available to Lagos state right. Somebody please clarify.

_*Things to know from DPR 2016 recruitment_*
1) Applicants' portal were closed on 31-12-2016 for registration
2) DPR invited applicants for CBT on 24 to 29 of July, 2017. Like seven months interval from registration
3) DPR sent messages to applicants that were successful in CBT on 24-10-2017 to update their profiles while closing others that were unsuccessful.
4) DPR contacted applicants via portal for interview on 26-11-2017 that was scheduled for two weeks that's 4th to 15th of December 2017.
5) During the interview, we were told that they (DPR) would contact us in the first quarter of 2018 which was March but they did not.
6) Shakur appeared on video claimed they had recruited 116 for OND holders, 400 GTs and EHs and 184 others which their positions were not known. 116+400+184 = 700
7) The total number of applicants at first were approximately (~) 33000 and the total number of applicants invited for interview were 3500. (3500/33000) x 100% =10.6% that's the percentage of those selected was 10.6% for the interview
The total number of applicants to be selected finally is 400 only. (400/3500) x 100% = 11.4%
9) This week makes it six (6) months after interview
10) If DPR doesn't use portal to contact successful applicants it means the list has been doctored.

Yes its true it happened in last recruitment. Bh an FCC personnel told me that they r strict abt it dis year cos i was asked d question n few other pple dat i knw dat attended d interview.

Even though there are some few exceptions, depending on d decipline needed and how many applicants are available, two pple might be selected from dsame family.
Its a race against the slots available for ur state n d decipline needed.
