HacheNoire:The law is made to protect Minors....Even if there is a video by Tinubu saying Regina is 20, it doesn't hold in the court of law. Her passport and birth certificate is used to verify age,not voters card. Age verification is a more rigorous process than do you want to vote for APC or PDP. You said Ned didn't snatch Regina from the street. Even if all the 220 million Nigerians handed Regina to Ned, that doesn't concern the court of Law. I told you, the law is to protect minors. Her Father said "No"...He went ahead and married a minor. You are making comedy and caricature out of all these, I am telling you.Ned will go to jail even if the whole village handed Regina to him and they all partied for a whole month celebrating the wedding. These laws are to protect minors and set examples for other people. Ned used his affluence to knowingly break the law. |
MadamExcellency:This is why he avoided taking her to london, because: When an under-18 marriage occurs abroad, it’s not recognised as valid once the couple enter the UK, and any sexual activity could expose the older party to prosecution. Regarding the Arabs go and educate yourself about British Law. I wont teach you here on nairaland. |
nedekid:So because she hasn't brought it out,you think it doesn't exist. She wont show you.....It will be shown in court. |
DomPerignon:🇳🇬 In Nigeria • The Child Rights Act 2003 defines a child as anyone under 18. • Section 21: “No person under the age of 18 years is capable of contracting a valid marriage.” • Section 23: marrying or betrothing a child is an offence punishable by imprisonment up to five years or a fine of ₦500 000 or both. • Although not every Nigerian state has fully domesticated the Act, most southern and some northern states enforce it strictly. • So, within those jurisdictions, a marriage to a 17-year-old is void and criminal. 🇬🇧 Under U.K. Law Even if the ceremony occurs abroad, several statutes may still apply: 1. Sexual Offences Act 2003 • Any sexual activity with a person under 18 where exploitation, grooming, or abuse of position of trust exists can be prosecuted (Sections 47-49). 2. Marriage and Civil Partnership (Minimum Age) Act 2022 • In England and Wales, any marriage involving a person under 18 is now illegal, even if the ceremony occurs overseas, if either party is domiciled in the U.K. • So, a U.K. citizen resident or domiciled in the U.K. who marries a 17-year-old abroad commits an offence punishable by up to 7 years in prison. 3. Bribery, Immigration, and Professional Conduct Laws • A U.K. solicitor is bound by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Code of Conduct. • Such a marriage would trigger serious professional-misconduct proceedings, likely leading to being struck off the roll. |
Ara21: LOL....The onus lies on Ned to have verified. The Father opposed, and also said she was underage. Does Ned know Regina's age more than her father ? If e reach your turn, marry a 12 year old because the family handed her over to you !!!! Because she is a goat, that can be handed to the butcher ? |
EponObi: |
EponObi:This is her passport. Ned cannot claim ignorance of her date of birth, as he traveled internationally with her using the same passport. He is in serious legal jeopardy, being a UK citizen and a licensed solicitor, the United Kingdom treats such matters with zero tolerance. Even Prince Andrew, the late Queen’s son, faced consequences for alleged sexual relations with a minor despite his royal status. Ned is no exception. Wealth is never a justification for exploiting minors. There are numerous videos suggesting a preference for virgins, a statement consistent only with predatory behavior. Whether these acts occurred in Nigeria or elsewhere, as a UK citizen and solicitor, Ned is liable under UK law and could face severe punishment.
|
Ikaeniyan0: She was a minor and she was also trafficked, because he had no business taking her trips (in a sexual context) abroad at the age of 17 and less. That's the textbook definition of human trafficking. You cannot travel with a child abroad as her fiance that's child endangerment and human trafficking. |
Human trafficking of a minor Child Endangerment Drug exposure to minors under your care Child marriage without consent of the parent (Father objected) Pedophilia Domestic Violence. When Speed darlington was accussed NAPTIP invited him for questioning, we are yet to hear their voice because Chinedu is a senator. Till he gets arrested abroad and locked up like Ike Ekweremadu, then they will convene another powerful delegation to go and rescue him.

We need revenue generation. Not someone to tell us where the budget needs to go. |
This is Tinubu’s moment to act decisively. Wike is an appointee who serves entirely at Tinubu’s pleasure, while the naval officer is a professional career serviceman, one of the few trained to uphold military standards and discipline. After the officer identified himself, his rank, and the fact that he was operating under the orders of a three-star general, Wike had one simple responsibility: get the names involved, verify the order, and work through the proper military channels. If he needed the officer to stand down, that request should have gone through the officer’s superiors, not through public humiliation. But instead of respecting the chain of command, Wike “shot the messenger,” calling him a “big fool” in front of his men, on camera, in view of the entire world. Soldiers across Nigeria saw it. Retired officers saw it. Active-duty personnel saw it. Even foreign military communities online saw it. That kind of public disrespect is a direct hit to morale. Wike also failed to restrain his own team. His police detail got aggressive, the NIA officer stepped in, his Mopol shoved and barked orders—all while Wike stood by. He should have told his team to stand down immediately, pulled the naval officer aside, and asked calmly: “What’s your name? Whose orders are you carrying out? Is this a lawful instruction?” Then he should have walked away, gone back to his office, and handled the matter through the proper chain of command—quietly, formally, and professionally. |
Age-based respect is always reciprocal. Growing old doesn’t automatically make someone wise, fools grow old too, and they remain fools even with grey hair. The officer did everything by the book: he introduced himself, stated clearly that he was a commissioned officer, and emphasized that he was acting under the direct orders of a three-star general. At that moment, Wike’s only professional move should have been to take the names involved and make the necessary calls up the chain of command. Instead, he crossed a line no civilian authority should ever cross: publicly calling a Nigerian Navy commissioned officer a “big fool” while the man was in uniform, in front of his subordinates and the media. That is a red line, an attack on military dignity, discipline, and hierarchy. Now imagine the reverse scenario: the officer calling Wike “a big fool.” The entire country would be on fire by now. Given the optics and the damage to morale, it would not be surprising if Tinubu eventually sacks or redeploys Wike. |
Wike could have handled that situation without publicly belittling the officer. I work with people far older than I am who take instructions from me, and I also report to people younger than I am. That’s how professional environments function. When a subordinate makes a mistake, I address it through the proper chain of command, I don’t insult them in front of their team. Wike had options. He could have called the Chief of Naval Staff or the Chief of Defence Staff and asked them to order the officer to withdraw. That would have preserved discipline and respect. But calling a uniformed, commissioned officer a “big fool” in front of his men crosses a serious line. Those soldiers won’t forget that moment. It undermines hierarchy, morale, and the dignity of the service. If this is how he behaves as a minister, imagine how he might act if he held even greater power. |
Guestmale: He was wearing the Uniform of a commissioned Nigerian Army/Navy or Airforce. He introduced himself "Sir I am a commissioned officer and i have my orders from my superior officer": Thats enough for Wike to talk to him with respect....No excuse whatsoever !!! Even if the officer was Wike's son...the minute he wears that uniform and identify himself....There is a minimum amount of respect he should accord to him !!! Wike thought he was talking to Fubara Wike messed up big time !!! His Ego got the better of him !!! I will never call any uniformed man a big fool....not because i am not a rich and powerful man. But because i respect their uniform. This is the Nigerian Army for crying out loud NO BE MAN O WAR OOOHHHH |
BondRiv:If you had mentioned the supposed crux of the matter.......instead you chose to form an even bigger bubble. |
gmaribel:He needs to be taught, if not he will sink the whole Tinubu administration. They are planning for 2027 but Wike will collapse the whole administration before 2027 |
Mrexcell:He publicly called a uniformed, commissioned officer “Big Fool” in front of his men—an unforgivable act in the ARMY. Those soldiers will never forget. Tinubu is eroding morale in the armed forces. Rotating chiefs of the Army, Navy, or Air Force every few weeks won’t help when the junior officers and rank-and-file have lost respect. |
Wike should issue a public apology to the Nigerian armed forces. Its one thing for them to be protecting the looters Its another thing for the looters to be calling you "Big Fool" to your face. I hope Tinubu has the wisdom and wise counsel to demand a remorseful public apology from Wike for this singular act. Wike crossed the red- line when he called a uniform commissioned officer "A Big Fool" After the Officer had introduced himself and told him he was only taking orders. That was when Wike crossed the line, Everything else can be forgiven.....But that statement "You are a big fool" I dont know how that Officer took it calmly. If Tinubu doesn't make Wike apologize to that particular officer publicly. His whole government will be seen as a joke !! He has to step up as commander in Chief and demand Wike to offer a public apology. He has to be made to eat the humble pie. Everybody saw it the whole world saw it, the officers, the retired officers, the veterans, the rank and file....they all saw it. Tinubu has to move quick and move fast. I commend the training they are giving these officers. |
The chief of Naval staff was appointed by you guys ? The chief of defense staff was appointed by you guys ? The attorney general of the federation was appointed by you guys ? The supreme court Judge was appointed by you guys ? The Commander in Chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria is Also an APC man ? But Emperor Wike who is a lawyer had to go and bully the Officer carrying out orders. A simple phone call would have made that officer and his boys pack up and leave before Wike got there. There are so many easy ways to have done this........but Wike chose the "Do you know who i am" approach. And the Officer responded, you are nothing against my orders !!! |
How many mosque does kwara already ? How many people does a mosque employ ? What happened to creating companies and bringing in development that will see to thousands of people being employed ? The only prayer they will pray is against government like Abdulrazaq's Mosque's should be built by well off private citizens and not the government. All that allocation Kwara state gets every month. Are some governors forbidden to bring more development to their states. Abdulrazaq should be in the house of Representative,i dont think he understands what being a governor means. Kwara state has gone back 8 years since his swearing in. I am surprised he didn't invite Tinubu to commission the mosque. Kwara is one of the only states, Nothing has been commissioned but this mosque since the beginning of this regime. |
Konquest: Please stop all this paedophilia talk, normal, sane and matured people marry for love and growth. I dont need a virginity lecture from you. Even fools grow old......Do not think Ned is smart or he knows what he is doing.......LOL |
Ajuwaya Echoes Across Nigeria: Officer AM Yerima’s Stand Sparks National Jubilation Amid Wike Standoff In a moment that electrified the nation, a quiet but resolute standoff unfolded between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, against a contingent of military personnel led by the young and composed Officer AM Yerima. Clad in bulletproof vests and standing firm behind their commander, the soldiers held their ground with discipline and restraint, even as tensions flared. Yerima, a native of Kaduna Garin Gwamna in Kaduna, became an instant symbol of professionalism and patriotism. His repeated command—“Ajuwaya! Ajuwaya!”—a military term meaning do not engage, rang out as his men resisted provocation from Wike’s entourage. Nigerians across social media and the streets erupted in praise, hailing Yerima as a rare example of integrity in a system many feel has long abandoned them. The Wike Factor: A Minister Under Fire Nyesom Wike, once a powerful governor and now FCT Minister, has drawn widespread criticism for what many see as authoritarian behavior unbecoming of a public servant. His political maneuvering, neither fully aligned with his party nor officially defected, has been described by critics as sabotage, weakening opposition and consolidating personal power. In Rivers State, Wike’s feud with the sitting governor led to what some allege was a forced political humiliation, with the governor sidelined and replaced by a loyalist for six months. This, combined with reports of Wike traveling with his adult children on government funds and allegedly allocating land to them, has fueled public outrage. Monarchy or Democracy? The minister’s claim of “showing his children the ropes” has struck a nerve. Many Nigerians see this as a symptom of a broader trend. an elite class grooming their offspring for inherited power, bypassing democratic norms. The sentiment is clear: Are we running a republic or a monarchy? If he had selected 3 other Nigerian Children in addition to his own, it would have showed dividends of democracy fro all. But he is the person in PDP,APC, Only his children on foreign trips, buying houses in florida, owning the biggest hotel in rivers......Nigeria is for all of us, Sir. WE ARE NOT FOOLS. This perception is compounded by weekly appointments under President Tinubu’s administration, which critics say resemble nepotistic schemes rather than merit-based governance. The common Nigerian, they argue, has yet to see the dividends of democracy. A Nation on Edge, A People Resisting The standoff with Officer Yerima was more than a moment, it was a metaphor. Nigerians saw in him the courage they crave in leadership. His refusal to flinch, his command to hold the line, and his loyalty to protocol resonated deeply in a country where many feel disenfranchised. Had the standoff escalated, some say the public reaction would have been jubilant, not out of love for chaos, but from exhaustion with a system that seems rigged against them. The administration’s cup, they warn, is filling fast. Millions of Yerimas In the eyes of many, Nigeria is full of AM Yerimas, young, disciplined, principled citizens waiting for a chance to serve with honor. The question now is whether the system will allow them to rise, or continue to reward excess, entitlement, and disregard for the people. The message from the streets is clear: Change must come, not just in policy, but in attitude, accountability, and respect for the Nigerian people.

Kaduna Garin Gwamna We know dey fear any bagger. |
Konquest:He is 70 years old, go and check his real age not his football age. His younger brother is 66years old. He likes women who are vulnerable not young and virgin. Thats what a narcissistic man would say. How do you know a woman is a virgin if you have not slept with her ? So you go around sleeping with all the "minors" finding the virgin. If she is 17years and no longer a virgin when he marries her what will he do......That young and virgin is a language pedophiles use. His name is Chinedu Christian Nwokolo forget all modifications, thats the name on his passport and government ID. She was 17 when he married her, and using drugs as a minor in the presence of other minors makes Senator Nwoko guilty of child endangerment. |
Men who marry women 40 years younger are often not the confident elders they pretend to be. Many of them simply cannot hold their own with women who match or surpass them in wealth, success, intellect, or emotional maturity. So they target girls who are just starting life, girls still taking instructions from their mothers, because that is the only space where they can feel powerful. Senator Chinedu Christian Nwokolo is a perfect example. The moment he faced the first real disagreement with his young wife, he rushed to the internet to label her a drug addict and bipolar, while using state power to harass and arrest her family members. And people are arguing about whether Regina is the problem? No. The real issue is a 70-year-old man who has no emotional toolkit for handling marital conflict, so he fights like a bruised ego instead of a husband and father. One flaw in our culture is this blind worship of age, forgetting that foolishness also grows old. I’m decades younger than Nwokolo, yet if my wife and I had a misunderstanding, I would never drag her mental health or integrity through social media. There are lines a man with self-respect simply doesn’t cross, especially when she is the mother of your children. Being older doesn’t make you wise. Being the bigger person does. |
georgeakins: "While it technically applies to all visa applicants, including those seeking non-immigrant visas for tourism (B-1/B-2) and studies (F1), it is expected to be primarily used for those seeking to permanently reside in the US." Do you understand English ? "It technically applies to all" and "its expected to be primarily used" |
ALTERNATEID:The Officer was carrying out an order from his commanding officer. He has Zero-Blame. Wike should have used the military channel to deescalate. Wike: Who is your commanding officer? which barracks are you from? Get on the phone with the chief of defense staff and tell the Commanding officer to tell his officer to stand down......Simple !!! People could have died....from that unnecessary standoff. Situation like this requires an adult in the room. Wike was suppose to be the adult. |
zeuss:• Military personnel in uniform performing official duties are generally immune from arrest by the police. Arresting them would typically require coordination with their commanding officer or higher authority. • Off-duty military personnel are theoretically subject to civilian law, but practical enforcement often involves coordination with military authorities. • Police cannot just arrest military personnel on duty. • Military personnel answer up their chain of command, not to the police. • Each institution has separate authority, and disputes are resolved via joint directives or presidential orders. |
False Flag. The world knows the people that can create bombs even from small pagers and cellphones. Dont let them fool you. When you catch the thief he tries to call everyone else a thief to cause confusion
|
yarimo:Outburst shows weakness. |
Orinechi:The Officer did not just wake up and decided to go and stand on a land in Abuja. He was carrying out orders. Guess who is the commander in chief of the Nigerian Armed. forces-------President Tinubu So Wike has no right to abuse and curse and denigrate a uniformed army officer. He should have gone to take it up with his superiors. Calling him a big fool in front of every one is grossly disrespectful to the uniformed officers of the Nigerian Army. |
