The law is made to protect Minors....Even if there is a video by Tinubu saying Regina is 20, it doesn't hold in the court of law. Her passport and birth certificate is used to verify age,not voters card. Age verification is a more rigorous process than do you want to vote for APC or PDP.

You said Ned didn't snatch Regina from the street. Even if all the 220 million Nigerians handed Regina to Ned, that doesn't concern the court of Law. I told you, the law is to protect minors. Her Father said "No"...He went ahead and married a minor.

Age-based respect is always reciprocal. Growing old doesn’t automatically make someone wise, fools grow old too, and they remain fools even with grey hair.

The officer did everything by the book: he introduced himself, stated clearly that he was a commissioned officer, and emphasized that he was acting under the direct orders of a three-star general. At that moment, Wike’s only professional move should have been to take the names involved and make the necessary calls up the chain of command.

Instead, he crossed a line no civilian authority should ever cross: publicly calling a Nigerian Navy commissioned officer a “big fool” while the man was in uniform, in front of his subordinates and the media. That is a red line, an attack on military dignity, discipline, and hierarchy.

Now imagine the reverse scenario: the officer calling Wike “a big fool.” The entire country would be on fire by now.

Given the optics and the damage to morale, it would not be surprising if Tinubu eventually sacks or redeploys Wike.

Wike could have handled that situation without publicly belittling the officer.

I work with people far older than I am who take instructions from me, and I also report to people younger than I am. That’s how professional environments function. When a subordinate makes a mistake, I address it through the proper chain of command, I don’t insult them in front of their team.

Wike had options. He could have called the Chief of Naval Staff or the Chief of Defence Staff and asked them to order the officer to withdraw. That would have preserved discipline and respect.

But calling a uniformed, commissioned officer a “big fool” in front of his men crosses a serious line. Those soldiers won’t forget that moment. It undermines hierarchy, morale, and the dignity of the service.

If this is how he behaves as a minister, imagine how he might act if he held even greater power.

What were those soldiers doing there? Is getting involved in land dispute between federal government and land grabbers part of their work now while bandit and Boko Haram are running amok in some areas in the North?I think is those soldiers who are supposed to be punished. If we say we want a new Nigeria, we must do away with sentiments and hatred.

The Officer did not just wake up and decided to go and stand on a land in Abuja.
He was carrying out orders.

So Wike has no right to abuse and curse and denigrate a uniformed army officer.
He should have gone to take it up with his superiors.
Calling him a big fool in front of every one is grossly disrespectful to the uniformed officers of the Nigerian Army.
