christistruth01: Jebba,Idah,Onitsha and Niger are not insisting on indigeneship or assuming a hostile stance towards non-indigenes. Lagos needs to calm down Ekó oni baajé |
oyatz:Lagos is a federal state. You can do any indigeneship you want.....but don't forget there is no toll gate on Third mainland bridge. Third mainland was built with oil money from the Oil producing southwest states. Lets remind does of you trying to claim indigenes now. |
oyatz: Lagos economy belongs to all Nigerians. You can all claim indigeneship....all you want. The federal assets in Lagos makes it belong to all Nigerians. Did we put toll gate on third mainland ?? Oil money built 3rd Mainland. |
oyatz:Lol..Lagos economic scene belongs to all Nigerians. Lagosians can do indigeneship and traditional titles all they want |
ibedun: Government puts a toll on third mainland bridge. 1000NAIRA per crossing Government adds 50,000naira to every ticket purchased @ Muritala mohammed airport All national buildings in Lagos have to remit to federal government, Festac, All NPA ,NIMASA,FAAN, All federal government establishment must hire only federal no more Lagos state indigenes since you all want to be petty All federal land, all federal secretariats built will be handed over to FG All federal roads in Lagos will be tolled. |
ibedun: Lagos is federal territory just like Abuja. The price Lagos will pay forever for all those free federal assets and institutions left behind is to accommodate everyone. Imagine telling people to leave Abuja if they change the federal capital to plateau......lol |
ibedun:You sound like the British people saying Indians and Nigerians come to their country to take their jobs.........lol |
brain54:Ned has a 17 year old daughter, why hasn't he married her off to a 60year old man ? |
ibedun:Lol economic scavengers ![]() These are the people paying tax, where Lagos state gets its revenue. You think Lagos state is spending its inheritance money ? |
muyico:He will never win an election in Nigeria. |
SisterAnn:The hospital just issued a public disclaimer they have nothing to do with the medical records. Most likely a forgery by Senator Ned. |
2mch:Hospital just issued a statement they have nothing to do with the medical record. |
TONYE001: Her father never approved it !! Ned printed those voters cards himself for her !! The hospital just issued a statement, they have nothing to do with the medical records. So Ned is releasing forged documents. People like you and Ned are using drugs to discredit the girl. Ned is not qualified enough to say someone is a drug addict. We need to hear it from the mouth of a qualified medical professional. Not someone who is obviously taking advantage of her. Thats what abusers do when they are caught. |
OneCandleAway:He doesnt like mature women, he picks his prey very well. |
DomPerignon: I am not from the SE How do you know i am not a Lagosian ? Because i don't share your bigoted, prejudiced stance ? I am advocating for all of Nigeria Where I am from doesn't matter. |
DomPerignon: It seems some people don’t fully grasp how Lagos generates its revenue. Tinubu isn’t “printing money in his house.” A large number of non-indigenous Lagosians contribute significantly to the state’s income , through taxes, business, real estate, and commerce. So why object if Lagos uses part of that revenue to pay for WAEC or JAMB fees for all children? Everyone has contributed to creating that pool of resources. Sure, some state governors could do better with allocations, but taking a bigoted, xenophobic stance against inclusive benefits is beneath anyone claiming intellectual credibility. Consider this: if federal government were to take over all federal assets within the state , ports, federal hospitals, universities, offices, federal roads(put a toll on third mainland bridge), the revenue derived from those alone would far outstrip the state’s own internally generated funds. Estates like FESTAC, and many others, were built with federal money. Separating federal from state contributions would cut Lagos’ effective revenue by more than half. Using state revenue to fund inclusive programs is fair because all residents, indigenous or not, help generate it, and access should reflect contribution, not ancestry. |
DomPerignon:If i have to engage you with my time in a civil discourse, you have to be respectful. I wont respond to this. |
DomPerignon:Lagos belongs to all Nigerians, not just Yorubas from Lagos — and here’s why. • Federal assets: The city houses trillions of naira in federal infrastructure — ports, airports, federal hospitals, universities, bridges, and government offices. These were built with national funds, not purely Lagos state resources. • Maintenance: Much of this infrastructure continues to be maintained with federal allocations, meaning all Nigerians contribute to Lagos’ upkeep, regardless of ethnic origin. • Economic contribution: Non-indigenes own large portions of Lagos real estate, run businesses, and drive commerce, meaning they are part of the city’s wealth creation. • Positive discrimination argument is incomplete: Telling people to “go back to your state” ignores the reality that Lagos is a national hub, funded and built by the contributions of the entire country. Excluding non-indigenes from benefits in a city they sustain economically and socially is shallow and ignores systemic fairness. Tribal ownership of Lagos is a myth. Respecting ethnic identity is fine, but access to benefits in Lagos should reflect contribution and residency, not ancestral origin. |
Ttalk:None of the above is government approved or constitutional. You are mentioning examples from a separatist movement. Someone thats is of questionable sanity ? The Hisbah police and the likes are all over Nigeria, Amotekun, OPC ,vigilantes ETC These are not state sanctioned programs. If these are your evidence. I wont argue with you, because you don't seem to have a good grasp of how things work. You are arguing based off, since once person has done something wrong.....The whole world should legalize wrongdoing. |
DomPerignon:I do respect ethnic identities, but Lagos’ digital indigeneship policy risks systemic discrimination. Non-indigenes own over half of Lagos’ real estate, drive the economy, and contribute to federal allocations meant for the state as a whole. Excluding them from access to benefits penalizes those who build and sustain the city. Globally, countries like Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Malta, and Portugal recognize significant asset holders as bona fide residents — Lagos’ approach is backward, favoring ancestry over contribution. Federal funds, diversity, and inclusive participation are what make cities thrive. Respecting ethnic identity culturally is fine, but tying economic and social rights to it undermines fairness, investment, and the city’s growth. |
Ttalk:Are you okay...what was ? Educate me. I am listening. |
Kukutente23:The Kano groundnut pyramids were a major source of revenue for Nigeria from the 1930s through the late 1960s, with their peak commercial influence in the 1950s and early 1960s. |
Nyesom Wike, all you have to say is: “I had a heated exchange with Nigerian Navy personnel, and in the intensity of the moment I used language that does not reflect my values or my respect for our armed forces. I extend my sincere apologies to the Nigerian Navy and to all Nigerians. I remain fully committed to working collaboratively to resolve all housing and land matters in the FCT, and I thank the President for his continued confidence in my service and dedication to the nation.” This will earn you more respect amongst sane Nigerians. All these, they are after me...doesn't impress some of us, we all saw you call a uniformed naval officer "A big fool"....You wont die if you apologize. You will even look more gentlemanly and more graceful. You are behaving like a textbook case of a narcissist. 1-You lack introspection 2-You lack accountability for your actions 3-You rather die than apologize 4-You worship your ego 5-You are quick to keep malice 6-You only get along with people that flatter your ego and worship you. |
Christistruth03:Lagos has the most Federal assets that belong to all Nigerians. Assets that were paid for with Federal allocation and belong to all Nigerians The same way Delta has oil wells that belong to all Nigerians The same way Niger state has hydroelectric power that serves all Nigerians The same way Kano groundnuts pyramid fed the whole country at some point in the seventies. All these places contributed money to the development of Lagos. Did you think 3rd mainland bridge was built with Lagos state funds. So Lagos discriminating any Hausa or Yoruba citizen is 100% unconstitutional. |
Christistruth00:Soludo is also wrong. 2 wrongs don't make a right. As a responsible citizen, you should strive to correct the ills, not to turn the country into a jungle and everybody doing as they like...... ![]() |
Kdon2:I am Nigerian. I am probably more Lagosian than you. But its discriminatory and unconstitutional Abuja can also start doing digital indigeneship and stating only Abuja indigenes can be appointed and elected in Abuja. |
Ttalk:Constitutions often contain legacy identity clauses, but weaponizing ancestry to gate access to services, education, or state benefits becomes discriminatory under modern human-rights norms. Nigeria’s Constitution forbids discrimination based on community, ethnic group, or place of origin. When states operationalize indigeneship in ways that exclude long-term residents, Lagos-born children, or multi-generational families who built the city, they convert an identity definition into a mechanism of inequality. |
This is illegal and unconstitutional on a federal level. The Lagos State Indigeneship Automated Certificate is a sleekly disguised form of digital discrimination. By institutionalizing “indigene status,” the government effectively divides residents into first-class citizens and others, contradicting the 1999 Constitution’s guarantee of equality and freedom from discrimination (Section 42). In a cosmopolitan state built by migrants, codifying ancestry into a digital gatekeeper for access to schools, jobs, or benefits is regressive. It risks excluding millions of Lagos-born Nigerians whose families migrated generations ago. Automation doesn’t sanitize bias, it only makes discrimination more efficient. The Attorney General of the Federation Lateef Fagbemi should step in and uphold the constitution. |

Just as Delta has oil wells, Niger State has hydroelectric power serving the entire country, and Kano’s groundnuts once fed all Nigerians in the 1970s, Lagos too benefited from contributions from across the nation. Did anyone think the Third Mainland Bridge was built solely with Lagos State funds? For this reason, any discrimination by Lagos against a Hausa, Yoruba,Igbo or any Nigerian citizen is completely unconstitutional. |
Nigeria cannot afford a government where every powerbroker runs a mini-presidency. From ministers to senators, the arrogance of impunity is fast replacing governance with chaos. Those who once swore to uphold the law, many of them trained lawyers, now bend it at will, trampling the very institutions they’re meant to strengthen. When lawmakers and public officers act like untouchable gods, the nation descends into disorder. President Tinubu must draw a clear line. Leadership demands discipline, and Nigeria’s democracy cannot survive when its guardians become its violators. The rule of law must return, not in speeches, but in swift, equal accountability. |
A dossier of alleged health-records of Regina Daniels has been released to the media. These health records from Serenity Royale Hospital. It was signed by Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja and signed by its Managing Director/Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Adekunle Adesina, covers her detoxification programme from September 9 to October 15, 2025. It indicates that Daniels tested positive for multiple psychoactive substances, including marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates and high levels of alcohol. This is flagrant abuse of power and continuous law breaking by the senator Chinedu Christian Nwokolo aka Ned, he has gone from extra-judicially arresting the family members, issuing defamatory press conferences and now releasing medical records, which are protected by the law as confidential to the patient only. There is a continuous attempt by the senator to hide the fact that he married a minor evident by her International passport and he traveled with her abroad in a sexual context when she was just 17 without approval or being chaperoned by her parents. The Nigerian senate has kept its silence while this senator continues to break one law after the other. This is the same senate that suspended a female senator (Senator Natasha Akpoti),for 6 months for disagreeing with the seating arrangement she was assigned. Nigeria has a direct counterpart to the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), ensuring medical data privacy and patient confidentiality protection: 1. Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 — enforced by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). It governs how personal data (including health information) is collected, stored, and shared. 2. Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019 — the precursor to the NDPA; many hospitals and insurers still cite its standards for patient consent and data handling. 3. National Health Act (NHA) 2014, Section 26 — explicitly protects patient medical records and confidentiality; breaches can attract sanctions from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). 4. Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention) Act 2015 — adds penalties for unauthorized access or data breaches in medical systems. The MDCN (Medical and Dental council of Nigeria) has to speak up and hold the senator, the doctor who owns that hospitals and the bloggers responsible. We cannot continue to live like this. Laws if broken should be addressed immediately. The law should apply to the powerful and to the less powerful equally. This senator has no business being a senator. He cannot do all these and get away with it in Britain or any other country. This is conduct unbecoming of a Britain Solicitor and he also needs to be reported to the solicitors regulation authority and have his licenses revoked. I will not attach the health records. But the Doctor and the Senator should be sanctioned for releasing the health records of an adult without the persons permission. That singular act is wrong and illegal, Gross abuse of power continues to be very rampant in Tinubu's administration, the elected and appointed politicians just seem to do whatever they like as they are 100% sure there will be no repercussion. New Update: The hospital has issued a disclaimer that they have nothing to do with the released reports and it did not emanate from them. I hope Senator Ned Nwoko is not adding forgery to his list of criminal allegations. The hospital has insisted they maintain full privacy for all records in their institution.
