This is not a value-jet issue only, this is a federal investigation. Crimes committed within the airport is under federal jurisdiction. Minister of Justice can correct me if i am wrong The airport is under federal authority. The airlines operate with the assurance that the federal government provides adequate security for them to conduct their business. 1. Civil Aviation Act 2022 (Part X, Section 69) • Offense: Unlawful interference with aircraft operation. • Implication: Obstructing or attempting to interfere with the movement of an aircraft is a serious federal offense. • Penalty: Up to 2 years imprisonment or ₦500,000 fine or both. 2. NCAA Regulations – Part 17 (Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority) • Disorderly conduct, refusal to comply with aviation security protocols, and failure to obey lawful instructions from airport officials. • Classified as Unruly Passenger Behavior. • Penalty: Fines, detention, and placement on no-fly lists. 3. Criminal Code Act (Cap C38, LFN 2004) • Section 249: Conduct likely to cause breach of peace in public places, including airports. • Section 123: Obstruction of public officers (airport staff, police, aviation security). • Section 98B: Abuse of office or status to gain undue privilege. 4. Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Act • FAAN has authority to bar or blacklist anyone whose behavior jeopardizes airport safety. • KWAM1’s status does not exempt him from aviation rules. 5. Terrorism (Prevention) Act 2011 (Amended 2013) • Attempting to obstruct a plane may technically trigger an aviation security review under terrorism-related guidelines, particularly if interpreted as interfering with aircraft navigation. |
simpleseyi:He is our boy mentality is what is killing the whole country. I hope you remember this statement when someone else commits a crime of this magnitude and some people say oh, he is our boy. |
Jayhome24:I dont care about Obi, i dont even like him !! But we have to say the truth. Anyone that says the truth cannot be labeled Obedient. The king who the Gods want to destroy they first make him deaf to the society ! KWAM1 had no business standing in front of a moving aircraft. KWAM1 is totally wrong. He should be arrested immediately and questioned for his behavior. Aircraft is not "danfo" or "molue" and the operators are not Lagos bus conductors. Dont put the blame on airport staff, they are at their jobs , doing what they were hired for. KWAM1 needs to be held accountable. KWAM1 WILL NOT EVEN ALLOW YOU GET ON HIS STAGE WHEN HE IS PERFORMING WITHOUT PERMISSION AND HE IS AT THE AIRPORT DRAGGING THE TARMAC WITH AIRCRAFT. |
Racoon:You can be a Hero, but that doesn't make you above the law. He has to be used as an example for other VIPs. If you are such a big deal get a private jet and charter it. But once you are on a regular flight with other citizens, your decorum should at the very least guarantee the safety of other passengers. You cannot behave in such a way as to put the lives of others at risk. |
igboarenice:They are deflecting the issue at hand. The pilot was at her job doing her job. This passes a wrong message to other pilots and other VIPs Now Pilots and airport staff will be threatened by VIPs and this will further jeopardize safety of everybody in the airports. In any sane civil society, people like pilots, doctors, judges are protected because they have to be free of fear to do their jobs. |
slimfit1:KWAM1 should have known better as a public figure. Nigerians will be highly disappointment if KWAM1 is not brought to justice for these kind of actions. Airport offenses are federal crimes. He can endanger his own life in the comfort of his house, but in public domain he is expected to bring minimum decorum to guarantee the safety of other airport users as well. |
Instead of him to offer an unreserved apology. He is still trying to put media spin on it. The government would be showing favoritism if KWAM1 is not invited for questioning or arrested. He clearly endangered the lives of other passengers, he had no business standing in the way of an airplane whose engine was already on, he defied the roaring engines and stood on the tarmac. The authorities have to disregard all his Ijebu connection/alleged cult associations and be seen to do the right thing. The same president that was chasing Yahya Bello up and down, cannot pretend he didnt see KWAM1's behavior on the tarmac. Just the other day we saw Speed Darlington saying something about underage women and was declared a public safety hazard. The same energy should be used against KWAM1. He should not be allowed to do something of that magnitude and get away with it. Even illiteracy should not be an excuse. Justice has to be fair across board, for the Yoruba man,Igbo man and Hausa man. Tinubu will not be in power forever. If he behaved like this in a London airport or USA airport, He would have been arrested, forced to undergo psychiatric evaluation and also placed on a no fly list unless he is cleared by a certified and competent psychiatrist. https://www.nairaland.com/8492647/re-kwam1-must-face-consequences |
Whether you have a Job or not abroad, the minimum cost of living is $1500/month at the very least. Can you survive, if it takes you 1 year to get a Job ? Which is the minimum time it takes to settle down and get a job in most cases. Don't forget, America,UK, Canada have unemployed people.....they have their own citizens looking for jobs. |
Omihanifa: Whether its "Agbo" or not KWAM1 should be arrested and held accountable, No one is above the law. He endangered the lives of all other passengers. The Nigerian Police Force should arrest him immediately. The Chief Security Officer of the airport should also be arrested. This is serious breach of airport security. |
Poor countries.....will take anything. If they get to Rwanda, they will be surprised....... ![]() |
madridguy:The government needs to act swiftly, they should not wait for social media to tell them the right thing to do. KWAM1 should have been arrested within 24hours. He didn't not only put himself in danger, he endanger other innocent lives. |
KWAM1 has on video breached these 2 laws: He should be prosecuted, same way a lot of Nigerians have been prosecuted, invited for questioning. The law must not be seen as a tool for oppression of just the masses. 1-Civil Aviation Act 2022, Sections 39–43: Prohibits obstruction, interference, and security breach in restricted aviation zones 2-Criminal Code Act, Sections 166 & 249: Covers breach of public peace and endangering public transport |
In a time where aviation safety should be non-negotiable, we are faced with a deeply troubling incident involving popular Fuji musician KWAM1 (King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal) , a public figure who should be setting the tone for law-abiding behavior. On camera, KWAM1 is seen confronting airport authorities, and more disturbingly, attempting to stand in front of an aircraft ready for departure because he was denied boarding after violating basic aviation rules , namely, carrying liquids in excess of the 100ml limit. This was not a misunderstanding. This was blatant arrogance, dangerous behavior, and a national security breach. Accountability Must Be Served We demand the following: 1. Immediate placement of KWAM1 on the No-Fly List for a minimum of 12 months. 2. Criminal prosecution for disrupting aviation operations and attempting to obstruct a commercial aircraft. 3. Full release of CCTV footage from airport authorities for public transparency. 4. A statement from the NCAA (Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority) confirming investigation and action plan to prevent VIP impunity on tarmacs. Why This Matters: • Interfering with aircraft movement is an act that violates ICAO protocols, and in many countries, this would be treated as attempted sabotage or terrorism. • Celebrity or not, no one is above the aviation laws that protect us all. • The international community is watching. We must not send a signal that wealth or fame equals immunity. Nlfpmod https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5o7nKHPkCcs

All the money that was supposed to put in place infrastructures like pipe-borne water, sewer, drainage prior to allocating the land for construction was probably looted or mismanaged. The money that was made from selling land in Lekki and environs should have guaranteed a good drainage, sewer and pipe-borne water. Instead the money was collected and used to run for presidency. We have a sitting president that cannot drive 1 mile from his personal house when it rains, but instead they rather use funds to construct Lagos-calabar express road and Eko Atlantic. |
Gerrard59:Ultimately is still the corruption, i understand the ethnic structure is a hindrance but that just enables perpetuating corruption. We do not have a nationalistic approach to governance. If we get a good president i don't mind him doing 10 years. As long as the country is getting better every year and the citizens can feel it. This 8 years come and chop your own and go system is taking us backwards, Because obviously what they do is come and collect huge loans squander it as their share of national cake and handover to another geopolitical zone. |
There are a lot of people in Nigeria, with the Intelligence of Elon Musk These people are Neurodivergents..... They are few but they exist..... But the Nigerian environment is not fertile enough to cultivate their brilliance. I know these from First hand experience. Don't forget Elon Musk JAPA from South Africa. His Primary and Secondary school was on the African Continent. |
99thEnemy:I am very well versed in Visa Categories. On the contrary,I am enlightening you on humanity and humanitarian gestures. You can not call me to help fix your roof when it was leaking. When i come back to seek refuge in your house 10 years later, because my own roof was blown off in a storm. You start making ridiculous conditions for me prior to enter your house.(Paying a bond to make sure i leave) The same house i helped you fix the leaking roof 10 years ago. |
IgOga:You make good points, eventually we would have to go that route, when we are left with no option....we are heading in that direction. Our capital consumption is still of a greater priority than our capital generation. Nigeria can never turn around unless we prioritize revenue generation. |
99thEnemy:No bias, you on the other hand are absolving the USA of crimes they have perpetrated against Africa and the likes. Africans built the USA with free labor from slavery at least a great part. Now all of a sudden we have to pay and Bond to visit. And you are trying to justify it by calling it Visa Fraud. All of a sudden USA is the virtuous one ? |
Enice:LMAO.....If you ask me...who i want ask ? |
IgOga:Well said, but are you aware that while recommending currency devaluation sometimes this is a pre-requisite for more loans. These loans we keep collecting from world bank and IMF are given conditionally if they can dictate part of our fiscal policies. |
99thEnemy:What visa's did the united states come with when they adopting slaves in Africa ? You seem to know a lot about Visa Fraud. |
free2ryhme:He is only doing what he promised. They are aware that people are deserting their mismanaged countries to come to the US. |
LOANS LOANS LOANS LOANS LOANS LOANS LOANS LOANS LOANS LOANS LOANS LOANS We are planning to use loans to support infrastructures that cant sustain themselves, when its time for maintenance repair , we are still going to borrow more loans. Can we run Nigeria on loans forever ? We removed oil and forex subsidy to be self sustaining but everyday we are collecting loans from Neo-colonialists.
|
They devalued our currency. Gave us loans. Knowing it will either get embezzled or misappropriated. Took our crude as collateral. Removed oil and Forex subsidies. Now they’re locking the gates. JAPA is no longer for the broke, it’s now elite migration. Starting Aug 20th, Guesstimated JAPA Costs will be: • ₦35M for 1 person (visa, ticket, cash, migration bond) • ₦70M for 2 • ₦105M for 3 Time to fix our own country. Corruption still remains one of our biggest problems. |
Addressing what it calls “a clear national security threat,” the Trump administration will require that some foreign visitors pay bonds of up to $15,000 to help ensure they do not overstay their visas, under a State Department trial program announced on Monday.https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/04/us/politics/state-department-bonds-visas.html

Tareq1105: Put the projects done in each PHC online Name of contractor Pictures prior to repair Pictures after repair Cost spent And allow full auditing access by independent auditors who care to find out the truth. I am ready to sponsor independent auditors out of my own pocket. |
chatinent:How did Buhari fail ? He paid oil subsidy for everybody....not discriminating rich or poor He paid Forex subsidy for everybody....not discriminating rich or poor He managed a world crisis (COVID)....Despite lower oil prices about $35/barrel, despite having to feed the whole country. (Its now $70/barrel under Tinubu, double Buhari's revenue generation with zero subsidy payments) He didn't borrow as much as Tinubu is borrowing right now. Compare that to Tinubu's administration. |
givedemwotowoto:Anticipated INEC collusion and manipulation, will not stop us from speaking out. |
Disbursing without supervision, I guarantee you the money will end up being used to purchase real estate in maitama and asokoro. THE MONEY WONT LEAVE ABUJA. |
In the annals of modern Nigerian leadership, few administrations have been cloaked in more rhetoric and reformist bravado than that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Yet, beneath the trumpet of “renewed hope” lies a painful paradox , the common Nigerian is worse off than at any point in the last decade. Let us pause and compare, not with emotional fervor but with factual sobriety: Buhari’s Quiet Stewardship: • Maintained forex subsidy to stabilize the naira, despite economic strain. • Oil subsidy continued as a cushion for the poor. • COVID-19 ravaged the global economy under his watch, yet Nigeria did not drown in foreign debt. • Buhari’s government, despite its critics, managed to curb runaway borrowing and left behind a semi-stable debt profile. He may not have been flashy. But he paid Nigeria’s bills without mortgaging its future. Tinubu’s Shock Doctrine: • Removed forex subsidy, leading to a naira that has collapsed to historic lows. • Removed fuel subsidy, but failed to reinvest savings into infrastructure or welfare. • No global pandemic, no war on Nigerian soil, no oil crash — yet the economic pain is deeper. • Massive devaluation without guardrails, and no plan to manage the inflationary aftershocks. And worst of all, he borrows like a sailor on shore leave. • In 13 months, the Tinubu administration has applied for and secured more loans than Buhari’s first four years combined. • Just this week, the Senate approved a fresh $21 billion loan, adding to a list that now reads like a global credit orgy. • The promise to “generate revenue” has flatlined. What we now have is a loan economy on life support. “We will block leakages and boost revenue,” he said. But from the exchange rate policies to non-supervised state allocations, all we see is leakage, leakage, leakage. States are getting more money from FAAC than ever before, yet some governors still refuse to pay the minimum wage. There is no oversight, no benchmark, just a blind pipeline of cash with no conscience. So we ask: How Do We Pay Back These Loans? Will it be from non-oil revenue that doesn’t exist? From a manufacturing base that’s been hollowed out by power cuts and currency crisis? Or will it be from Nigerians’ future — the unborn children, mortgaged before they even open their eyes?
