And still, no dams, no ports, no bullet trains, no mega factories.

Nigeria’s debt today isn’t buying wealth-generating infrastructure. Instead, it’s being channeled into:
• Subsidy offsets for petrol and food
• FX buffer injections to artificially hold the naira
• Civil service overhead
• Palliative funds with no long-term multiplier

From Republic to Debt Colony

While countries like Rwanda and Vietnam borrow to build, Nigeria borrows to breathe. Without clear repayment strategies or ROI-linked targets, this is not nation-building. It’s nation-leasing. Every Eurobond, every IMF draw, every China Exim agreement becomes a silent lien on:
• Future tax revenue,
• Future natural resource flows,
• And your children’s freedom to make fiscal decisions.

With over 60% of all national revenue now devoted to debt service, the budget for development has vanished. Hospitals are still underfunded. Schools still use chalkboards from 1994. The national grid still flickers like a dying candle.

Austerity by Proxy

The worst part? This debt does not lead to growth, but it imposes austerity:
• SMEs can’t borrow; banks prefer lending to government.
• Importers can’t hedge; the naira’s volatility kills inventory turnover.
• Investors won’t commit; they fear a forced debt restructuring like Ghana.

Ordinary Nigerians, meanwhile, are taxed like they live in Monaco but served like they live in Mogadishu.

A Social Explosion Waiting to Happen

History teaches us that countries with unsustainable debt + currency devaluation + youth unemployment are ticking time bombs.
Tunisia in 2011.
Greece in 2009.
Argentina perennially.
Nigeria is entering that fiscal Bermuda Triangle, with oil theft, food inflation, and zero savings buffers making the spiral irreversible unless checked.

The Ask

What the ADC is demanding isn’t revolutionary. It’s elementary due diligence:
• Disclose loan terms.
• Link each loan to a cash-generating outcome.
• Cap total external debt-to-GDP at 30%.
• Pause borrowing for at least 12 months.

Because without transparency, accountability, and productive use of capital, Nigeria isn’t just borrowing money. It’s borrowing time.

All these for an economy that depended on taxation to thrive most of the time. Something has to be done and it will start from those that were allowed to come in en mass lately. That is how it's done every where. Indians, Pakistanians, Chinese, other african countries are also affected. They are not here contouring conspiracy theories like you guys.

Still,same UK has loads of Nigerians in their thousands living and working.
Have you thanked UK for changing their stories and that of their families when nigerian govt has failed them?

Professor Ode Ojowu who was the Chief Economic Advisor to president Obasanjo did that. When the result of research came out he was fired. His idea was that funds should be released to governors in line with the rating, transparency and other factors were considered. That way every governor gets what he deserves. But today, Lagos generations N500billion and receive N50billion then Imo generates N50billion and receive N500billion, even me I am the Imo state governor I wont be serious.

lol......Imagine giving 100 billion to a politician that has never been an employed staff, has never owned and managed a profitable business, just a popular person that won elections.
He has no idea how to manage that amount of money.

Whereby performing LGA Chairmen are rated in tier 1

Intermediate performing LGA Chairmen are rated in tier 2

Could do better LGA Chairmen are rated tier 3

Same should apply to governors.
This should be in commensurate with the funds they get.

We have some LGA chairmen with more vision for their LG, Than some governors.

The Nigerian Senate witnessed a dramatic altercation on Wednesday evening as a closed-door session descended into chaos, with Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele engaging in a shouting match that nearly escalated into a physical confrontation.

The tension erupted during an executive session convened to deliberate on whether to adjourn the current legislative sitting this week or next week for the Senate’s traditional two-month annual recess. Sources told SaharaReporters that disagreements among the leadership over the adjournment plan led to visible cracks within the chamber's top hierarchy.

It was learnt that Senator Ali Ndume, in a pointed observation, criticised the Senate leadership for failing to hold a prior meeting to unify their position before bringing the matter to the floor.

He reportedly said that was not how things should be done, urging the leadership to show greater coordination.

Ndume’s comment appeared to ignite long-simmering frustrations, as Senate Leader Bamidele publicly voiced his displeasure with Senate President Akpabio’s leadership style.

“I am frustrated as Senate Leader working under Senate President Akpabio,” Bamidele reportedly said in the heated session. “He does not call leadership meetings, he doesn’t consult with anyone. He is autocratic. In fact, I am contemplating resigning as Senate Leader.”

Akpabio, visibly angered by Bamidele’s remarks, fired back sharply.

“Senator Opeyemi should sit down! He cannot speak while I am speaking. I am in charge here,” Akpabio reportedly yelled. “I have served as Commissioner, two-term Governor, Senate Minority Leader, and a powerful Minister. I know the Senate rules and leadership more than you.”

SaharaReporters learnt that as tempers flared, both men appeared ready to confront each other physically before other senators quickly intervened to de-escalate the situation and restore order.

He is also in violation of the Constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. By denying the people of Kogi central representation in the legislative arm of government, due to a seemingly personal feud with Senator Natasha Akpoti.

There is a court order from a court nullifying her suspension.
She has pledged to the rules when she swore an oath to be senator...you cannot have her swearing every market day.

If you punish me for a crime....I will not apologize (but thats me)

Akpabio will not remain senate president forever and Nigerians will never forget this act of impunity against a fellow senator and the judicial arm of governement.

Worse, her committee chair was handed to a senator from Akpabio’s home state, hinting at ethnic favoritism and authoritarian consolidation. The intimidation of female senators further reveals a culture of silencing dissent.

This is a constitutional crisis. The Senate must obey court orders, restore Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, and ensure no lawmaker is above democratic accountability.

Even the act of removing her from the committee which she heads is an act targeted at selective discrimination probably gender based. She has served her punishment. Why punish her twice. This goes against the law of double jeopardy. The act of continuous punishment should stop. That committee head removal can also be nullified by the courts, if she goes back to the courts. Its high time the legislative arm realizes, There is still law and a valid constitution in the land

Kemi Badenoch, the British MP of Nigerian descent, has revealed a consistent pattern: she only seems truly animated when she’s attacking Nigeria ,often in high-profile, global platforms. From calling Vice President Shettima’s boko haram, to stating on Fareed Zakaria’s CNN segment that Nigeria does not issue citizenship by ancestry, Badenoch seems to be feeding off provocation.

But this is more than political posturing. It’s starting to look like narcissistic behavior cloaked in policy discourse.

1. Emotional Vampirism Through Provocation

Like textbook narcissists, Badenoch has discovered a formula: every time she denigrates Nigeria, she gets attention , media coverage, panel invites, applause from British right-wing circles. It doesn’t matter whether people cheer or condemn her. What matters is that they react.

Narcissists don’t need praise , they need focus. Rage, backlash, applause , it’s all fuel.

2. Deafening Silence on British Issues

Kemi has almost nothing to say about the UK’s actual crises:
• Exploding homelessness across London
• Genocide complicity via arms sales
• Rising knife and phone theft rings across the capital
• NHS on life support

Instead, she projects dysfunction onto Nigeria ,a psychological tactic to divert attention from the crumbling house she lives in. It’s easier to castigate a country thousands of miles away than fix the one paying your salary.

3. Targeting Nigeria, But Never Others

Her selectivity is telling. Her Jewish husband and broader Jewish immigration to the UK have never once come under her scrutiny , and for good reason. If she made disparaging comments about Jewish immigration, she’d be labeled anti-Semitic and canceled by the next election cycle.

But Nigerians? Nigerians are expendable. They don’t wield enough institutional power to push back in ways that matter to her politically. So they become her go-to target , the soft punching bag that earns her airtime and clout.

4. Projection and Internalized Resentment

This isn’t just politics , this is psychological projection. Every time she attacks Nigeria, what she’s really doing is trying to distance herself from her own reflection.

She is assaulting the part of herself she’s ashamed of, trying to surgically cut it out in public view. But self-hatred disguised as policy is still self-hatred. And eventually, it leaks through.

5. The Solution to Narcissists? Deny Them Oxygen

Here’s the truth: You don’t win by debating people like Kemi Badenoch. You win by refusing to play the game.

She thrives on outrage, retweets, reactions, and rebuttals. If she’s the center of a firestorm, she feels important. If she’s ignored, she’s irrelevant , and narcissists find irrelevance unbearable.

Do not fan her flames. Do not trend her name. Do not quote her. Do not reply.
Let her speak to an empty room.

6. Final Thought

Kemi Badenoch isn’t trying to fix Nigeria or the UK. She’s trying to sell herself to a class of elite gatekeepers who reward Black faces willing to discredit Black spaces.

She is not a public servant. She is a performance artist. And the only way to bring down a narcissistic performance artist is to leave the theatre.

Cold, cheap,safe places to hangout, good international schools,good roads, good parks and zoo for weekend Getaway, quite streets in rayfield, new abuja,du gura top,federal low-cost dong etc,but the beauty of the woman in jos is breath taken. Well cultured,calm, respectful, romantic and very nice.
Abuja is also very sweet,wild,a bit expensive but the traffic congestion is an issue for me.

I like chilled life, good food secure neighborhood. Money is not a problem

What u don't know is that this is a very simple case for pwan, since they haven't been sued by their customers they will just say they are reviewing their policies and looking for the best way to satisfy their clients

PWAN was sued by multiple customers in court !!!
And in many cases they were found to be in the wrong.
