SecretAgent770: In what seems like a retaliation for the deletion of crowwe from Google play, the facebook based news platform Daily news Hausa has asked readers to report apps such as BIAFRA WORLD RADIO, The Rokotv and Softtalk Messager in a bid to have then removed https://www.facebook.com/123261848171087/posts/1118522558645006/
Submitted objections for Biafra World News and Softtalk Messager.
Pls be specific about The Roko TV. There's no App with that name. What's I found is Iroko TV, is it the one as it shows it's for Nollowood Entertainment App.
malcom1X: Please name the Igbo organization that conducted the census.
You can believe anything from Nnamdi Kanu, ESN/UGM, but you demand receipts, certificates, court papers, license, passports, videos, pictures, bills, payments, levies, eyewitness, earwitness, nosewitness, mouthwitness, etc on anything that may go against you
*Igbos due North, Northerners down East - An Informal Census*
An *informal Census* was conducted by an Igbo Organization.
The Group discovered that there are *Twenty Million Igbos living in Northern Nigeria*, out of which Sixteen Million are permanently resident and Four Million are Economic Migrants moving on seasonal basis.
In addition, they found out that *there are Four Million Northerners living in Igbo Land,* out of which Two Million are permanent residents and the remaining Two Million are Economic Migrants switching on seasonal basis.
What is intriguing was that _*the entire Four Million Northerners living in Igbo land are uneducated menial laborers and petty traders*_: viz watchmen, Cattle attendants in abattoirs, Cobblers etc.
Consternatingly, there was *a single account of a Tiv Man*, a Christian, from Benue *who built a Petrol Station along Enugu bye-pass in Enugu State*, however, on the day of commissioning the indigenes discovered that the Station belonged to a Northerner and insisted vehemently by interdicting its operations , *that the said Station must be sold to an Igbo Indigene before it would be allowed to operate*.
Today, throughout Nigeria, *it is only in Igbo Land that no other Nigerian is allowed to gain admission into their Universities*, Employment or Political appointments in their domains.
Yet, in the North and the South West *there are States that have appointed Igbos* as Commissioners and Advisers eg Lagos, Kano, Yobe, Borno etc.
As big as *the Onitsha International Market, no other tribe is allowed* from Yoruba land or the North to have even a corner shop, yet they are in all Markets across the North and South West without any hinderance.
Anyim Pius Anyim, is the only SGF in Nigerian History that has *100% Igbos as support Staff* in his Office. Is he an SGF for Nigeria or Biafra?
Igbos should learn to keep quiet & tolerate others* or move to BIAFRA.!!
Perkins2018: Both are products of quota system as can be seen in their empty brains. I don't fancy people who only got to be somebody in life through a lazy and fraudulent arrangement.
Take your wares and give to malamis compound in Abuja in the name of freedom of movement and see his reaction.
Nobody has banned grazing in the south, but you must make it private.
Federal laws supersedes state's. yet you destroy people's legitimate business in the name of religion.
Dumb headslammer!
Bamm it came out openly.
You're intolerant and an Islamophobe.
I don't go down with arguments that descends to abuse of religions and religious figures.
And you're probably an iPoB, since you display iPoBic characters - an inclination to paranoia, xenophobic, self-destruction, disregard for others and iconoclasticism.
Perkins2018: I've been following your arguments and I've realized you northerners are very dumb. No matter how educated you are. Just like malami and garbage shehu.
As a herdsman, buy your own land anywhere in Nigeria and graze your cattle on it. No one is against that. Is this too complex for you northern morons to understand or there's a hidden agenda?
I think you're the dumbest here. Nowhere are you near Malami or Garba Shehu. They are more accomplished than you in whatever way.
I don't have to rent a shop in Lagos or Kano to transact business. I don't need any permit to traverse the whole of this country if the superior law if the land us obeyed.
The arguments you keep putting out that governors can do laws that contravenes fundamental rights is baseless. The Federal supercedes the states and can in certain situations take over the control of states.
The danger is, if you condone unjustifiable actions, certainly it will be meted out to you should you get an unruly authorities as obtained in most areas now.
wirinet: You are being insincere. The problem people have with Fulani herdsmen is not grasses. It's trespassing on other people's lands and properties and destroying their crops and sometimes harvested foods. It's now taken a more dangerous dimension of killing farmers themselves and attacking their villages.
Cows don't have the rights to eat grasses on my land without my permission.
That has always been a problem, but ain't there better ways to manage it than ban.
I bet with more Fulanis in the North, haven't they seen it as a feasible solution.
Regarding cows not having a right graze on your land without your permission, whose permission do you require to set up your spare parts business in Lagos or Kano?
wirinet: False equivalence. Selling expired drugs is illegal all over Nigeria. If the north bans the sale of fake drugs, every right thinking person will support it.
Also a ban on the sale of okrika can be justified for health and economic reasons. Although I am not sure such powers reside with state governments. But the federal government can ban the importation and selling of okrika, and they would be a justified.
Same with spare parts. the importation and sale of fake spare parts can be banned for economic reasons. This is because people are being scammed of their hard earned money.
Open grazing is another thing altogether. The nigerian constitution vests power over lands on the state governments. The federal government only has powers over lands in the federal capital territory and some coastal limits and water ways. A state government is the one that allocates state lands. If a governments says they don't want animals roaming their lands, whether cows, chickens, dogs or cats, it's within their jurisdiction.
If state northern governments place a ban on spare parts, what then happens to all the cars in the north when they need repairs. Do car owners travel to southern Nigeria just to buy brake pads?
Note that sale of cow and meat was not banned. It was cows and Herdsmen disturbing the peace all over southern Nigeria that necessitated the ban.
Now answer this question - WHY ALWAYS FULANI? Fulani have had decade long problem in southern kaduna, Jos, Benue and now all over the south. You guys needs to do some soul searching.
Even Major Okar wanted to excise you guys from Nigeria, but then he did not receive the support of other Nigerians.
That's because his promulgations were evil, just as denial of grasses to cows were wickedness. It was malicious and nothing else.
PetroDolla2020: How did Ghana target Nigerian traders? The law says retail trading is reserved for Ghanaians. How is that targeting Nigerian traders? Are Nigerians the only foreigners in Ghana? Are you aware Nigeria has laws that exclude foreigners from some aspects of its socio-economic life? Natural justice, my azz No
You may not be aware of what's happening or refused to acknowledge it because it'd go against your argument.
When Ghana laid exorbitant fees and near impossible levies on Nigerian traders, what they're doing is tactically excluding Nigerian businessmen from operations. It is discriminatory.
Some (mostly Igbos) who paid the high levies to comply with the regulations weren't allowed to continue business as their shops remained closed.
You only become a man for calling a thing as it is. Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere.
Nigerian traders in Ghana cried out and called on the FG to come to their aid.
Kagd10: See Dumb reasons. People buying ain't forced to buy the spare parts and okirika. Your herdsmen are killing lives out there and disturbing people's peace and this is what you got to say? You dey ment?
Fake spare parts, expired drugs and infected okrikas could as well kill.
My argument is, justice should seem to be served in whatever situations.
Making laws in the North or as Ghana has done (targeting Nigerian traders, especially Igbo) is wrong and goes against natural justice.
Kagd10: They ain't roaming with their spare parts and okirika while disturbing people's farm and killing lives in the process! You dey ment?
Perceptions colored with prejudice are wrong and subhuman.
I may as well say that Igbos sell infected second hand clothes, fake spare parts and expired drugs in the North and should be stopped from opening any shops in that region.
If you look at it well, I am right to some extent but my thinking is flawed, and any law based on this is flawed too and prejudicial and generalized.
I am targeting certain people because of the way I think about them; soon every major tribe would start making laws against perceived enemies.
It doesn't make sense. The contention now is the constitutionality of such measures.
I think resolving this requires somebody taking the states who've passed such prohibitions to court to seek constitutional interpretations.
Mangekyo: Well if the fulanis truly never wrote that, then things will remain normal. South south states, most especially Delta state is a very peaceful place to live in, we're a peaceful people. Hardly complain even when we suffer, we don't look for trouble, for we also do not run away from trouble.
Whoever threatens or take one soul from us be it IPOB or Fulani won't go unhurt, that's go sure.
Just last Sunday here, I saw two Fulani men grazing with their cows in my street (open grazing). People were going to and Fro and no one disturbed them, despite the ban on open grazing. I saw a cow that was trying to graze on a maize that was planted close by, and how one of the fulanis rushed control it. I was really pleased. Maybe all fulanis are bad after all. Next thing was seeing a threat to our governor being circulated on nairaland
Anyway, it's a good thing the fulanis have come out deny giving out that threat, if true. Definitely some innocent fulanis would've been made to pay, had the threat been really true. We should do everything possible to make sure we all continue to live peacefully
Peace bro.
Let me digress a little.
The problem with Nigeria has always been the Igbo question. I pity them. Eversince the 1966 coup and killing of leaders of other regions and sparing their own, nobody trusts them again.
This is Nigeria's and Igbos main DILEMMA.
Everybody can attain highest political leadership but them, because their is hidden fear of the Igbo eversince that incident. It's not a good place to be in when everybody distrusts you. If you can kill everybody but your own, I'll fear when you're more powerful than everybody else.
I pity their situation and sometimes I feel they should get their Biafra and do as they want. But it is a matter of concern when you want to force and blackmail others to achieve that aim.
It is a hard situation. Nobody wants a second civil war. They should find a way to resolve this situation because I agree it's not a good position for them. Let them get their Biafra, but if they think they can get it by beating and abusing everybody, it is natural for whomever they're attacking to attack back.
mekaboy: I know some nairaland mods might be under pressure by IPOB members, or they may be sympathetic to the Biafran struggle.
However I must let you all know that i am full blooded igbo, and the interest of Igboland remains my priority.
Deleting my thread, is denying my igbo people access to a deliverance section.
Some will say i have opened several threads about kanu and Biafra. But its the same consistency that kanu used to brainwash and decieve the youths, to the point that they carry guns and die for him in UK.
That said lets get down to business.
I asked if Kanu's agitation is for Biafra or PDP. Don't get me wrong, I supported Atiku to be president, not based on party or because he had an igbo vice. But because he was a businessman and would not make decisions that will negatively affect the economy.
Now under goodluck jonathan a so called Biafran, Kanu was an advocate for 1 Nigeria.
Jonthan lost in 2015 and kanu registered IPOB in 2016.
Now in 2019, kanu said no elections in Biafraland. Later had a meeting with Atiku and asked his followers to vote Atiku. Though he did not mention atiku, but he said anyone but buhari. You and i know the other alternative was atiku.
Now Atiku is fulani, and kanu claimed their demands were met. If the demands were met, why the agitation?
Well, it simply means Atiku was supposed to fulfil the demands. One will wonder why didn't kanu make the demands under GEJ, but trusted Atiku a fulani to fulfil whatever his expectations were.
Now Atiku lost the elections in 2019, and out of disappointment, kanu said he was tempted to abandon the agitation.
FoolishBoy419: You even have their time. Same people that supported bombing of media houses and arrest of activists in Gaza now want to lecture Nigeria on human rights. I just hope we strengthen our relationship with China so that we can be giving them proper middle fingers
Mangekyo: First, I'm not IPOB. Second, your kinsmen threatened our governor that if he doesn't remove the ban on open grazing, that you folks are gonna attack us blah blah blah. You all should hurry up while we eagerly await you
I said you're about to back iPoB and become their boy, not that you're iPoB.
Igbos and especially iPoBs are good at writing letters that'd bring disaffection between Hausa Fulani and other Nigerians,
As for Delta people, I don't think there's so much problem between them and northerners. It is always between Igbos and other Nigerians. Even that letter might have been written by Igbos to cause chasm between two good people.
I am sure by now you must have heard that Miyetti has disowned that letter, that it was not from them, but from wicked and evil people.
