Nobody was there with them, we haven't heard the females side. We should know better than to judge one sided stories like this.

I think the problem started with the tone and manner the guy asked her to return or reduce the eggs, that got the girl annoyed and that was why she poured the eggs away to perhaps make it clear she would not get insulted because of eggs. As there was tension already between them, he slapped her.

I don't see why she wouldn't have reduced the eggs if he had calmed down and asked her to.
