I have a strong feeling that you have a personal axe to grind with GEJ . I will not also be suprised if your real identity is El rufai or Dele Momodu who sought to get GEJ's job but couldn't convince the residents of his street to vote for him. The way you analyse issues here is strange. Whatever Gej does is bad. Even when majority of Nairalanders are acknowledging the measures taken so far, you re rather interested in exploring ways of faulting him. What do you mean by he is not weak but he doesn't know what to do? What has he not done right? Let me assume without conceding( because we can't afford that misfortune), that you are president, tell me what Gej has not done that you will do to end Boko Haram immediately. N@ cyril83, I thought you were wiser than this. President Jonathan won an election and a section of the country felt bad and since then vowed to make Nigeria ungovernable for him. They hve been throwing bombs sporadically killing innocent souls and each time, we play into their court by condenming Gej instead of these attacks. Exactly, what they set out to achieve. I appreciate that govt has a duty to protect us all but Gej is no magician. This suicide bombing is a peculiar security challenge that no other govt in Nigeria has encountered and from available facts coming from other countries like Isreal, Jordan, Syria, that face such challenge, it is not an easy thing to stop. People just come to this forum and say rubbish. Gej this, Gej that. Wetin the man go do for una? In this fight,, Gej has sacked and replaced the SSS director, he has sacked the IGP, Hafiz Ringim. He has now sacked his NSA, Azazi and thevDefence Minister. Military bases have been set up in our borders up north who are combating these Boko Haram everyday. JTF's are in operation in all the affected states. Curfews are imposed when and where neccessary. The streets of Borno, Yobe, Jos, Kaduna, Kano hve all been militarized. In intelligence gathering, the SSS are working seriously and successes hve been recorded. they hve arrested a distinguished Senator from Borno state, Senator Ali Ndume and another Boko haram leader and charged both to court. While the Boko haram leader pleaded guilty and was sentenced, Senator Ndume used his team of lawyers to secure bail for himself after a month at Kuje. I knw pple will still blame Gej for the court bail. But thank God a federal High court just last week still ruled that Ndume has a case to answer. Still on intelligence gathering, SSS was able to recapture Kabiru sokoto who is still in their custody. Abu Quaca is also in their net. Most recently, the notorious Hammed Baba was shot and has now died alongside 45 other boko haram suspects in a raid by JTF in Yobe. Yesterday, Gej has replaced Azazi with Sambo Dasuki. And just because you heard a false bomb alert, you went on a tirade of insults. When Ubandire called you to order, you started abusing him and even said that his family will wipe. It is you and your family and your extended family that will be wiped away completely before 2015.

Yesterday, we heard that a notorious Boko haram leader has been captured by JTF. Today, a major shakeup was done that led to the sack of Azazi and Haliru. Kudos Gej. We will survive

Kobojunkie, Haba! Kobojunkie! Wetin Jonathan do you? Make una leave that man alone. You guys are unfair to his administration. What's wrong in what he said? He said the truth. His govt has these pecuiar challenge of Boko haram. But it doesn't mean Nigeria is war torn. He has been battling it as much as he can. And out of 36 states, only about 4 are troubled. And the security agencies are ontop of the situation.

These men and women in the lower house,feel they can jus wake up any time they like and invite mr. President, when they have not cleared the roaches in their cupboard.

@ delafrriut, I never knew you were this dumb. So if you re the President of Nigeria today, you would fail to attend a meeting because Jacob Zuma of SA was nt invited. Do you knw the position of Nigeria in the comity of Nations? As Abati pointed out, This prestigious invitation had long been given to Nigeria- Giant of Africa. So Gej attended in order to honour this invitation. What could he have stayed back to do? Does he need to be present before the Army fight the terrorists? He has already deployed Soldiers to the streets of KD. A curfew was in place before he left. He consulted the Senate before he left. Even the Senate refused his suggestion to declare State of Emetgency in the affected Sates. He handed over to his vice who was a former Governor of Kaduna to just oversee his directives on the Military for just few days. So what else do you want him to do? Maybe you want him to be a security guard in the streets of Kaduna before you re satisfied.

Anybody who read this piece thoroughly and still says rubbish is devilish and will be visited with the same measure when confronted with leadership in any capacity. This event had long been scheduled even before the Kaduna riots started. So you all want him to stay back and attend to Kaduna riots when all his colleagues are in Rio for a world summit? So if Gej abandons the all important gathering of World leaders, would that be an end to the Boko haram attacks? I am from the North central, but I must admit that this govt has been unfairly treated by the core North. All these attacks are geared towards discrediting this administration so when I see people criticize Gej for these insecurity, i feel very sad. So if you were the president of Nigeria and you have an international engagement which has been scheduled months ahead of time and which you have made adequate preparations to present a position on behalf of over 160 million Nigerians, you will shelve it to sit back in Aso rock because riots, which did not start today in the north, has started in kaduna. Smh. Now, I'm beginning to know the real enemies of Nigeria. Gej would have been the most foolish president if he had stayed back and avoid the gathering of world leaders because of the activities of a sect who are out to derail his govt. Do you know the kind of impression that will be created by Gej's absence at that global summit? Before he left, he consulted the senate on the possibility of imposing state of emergency but the senate adviced him to stay the idea and allow the present security measures play out first. Already, a state of emergency has been imposed in Kaduna and the army is ontop of the situation in Yobe. What else do you guys want frm Gej's presence. Abi ,you want Gej to physically put on army uniforms and march to the streets of kaduna to shoot the rioters. SMH. This business tip has been planned before now, the so called boko haram and their sponsors just worked on it to destabilize the presidential trip,of which if it was cancelled they would use it against him, that he cancelled a trip that should have beneficial to the economy to sit at home, and now that he went it has also turned to a disadvantage for the enemies of the administration. If GEJ was in the country, he would have delegated the problems to those who it's there responsibilities. Meanwhile, why don't people mention the state governor of these states in chaos, or the IG of police, why blame the president on all issues. Think people.

Even if Gej travelled with 165 or 365 persons, it is not for us to judge because we don't have any benchmark to compare with. I want somebody who works with protocols office at the villa to furnish us with details of the figures that normally proceed on such trips. And even at that, delegations may differ according to the issue at stake. A delegation to Ecowas meeting at Lome will definitely differ from that of a UN meeting at Geneva. we don't know whether the conveners of the earth summit had mandated each country to come with representatives from some ministries or agencies in their home country. So let's not be dwelling on hear say and baseless accusations on issues we know little or nothing about. Sahara reporters, pls name your source. Stop this alarmist journalism.
