Politics / Re: What Are The Governors Doing, If GEJ Receives Condemnation For Everything? by Mallamabdul: 2:05pm On Oct 05, 2012
The truth is that all the 36 state Governors put together has not achieved what GEJ has achieved so far. In power sector alone, Jonathan has refurbished 10 power plants. 10 power stations are now working at a time. Which Governor apart from Akpabio has done a single power station since last year.
GEJ is handling 11 airport terminals at a time. Look at the railways are now back. Ilorin-Lagos have been revamped. Minna-Kaduna is back. Abuja metropolitan is seriously in progress.

Which Governor has established a single university in His state since last year? GEJ has established 9 new federal universities and mobilised them with 2 billion each. Haba. Make we dey talk true sometiimes.

Politics / Re: Jonathan Is Nigeria's Most Transparent Leader Wether U Lyk It Or Not by Mallamabdul: 1:53pm On Oct 05, 2012
Jonathan is the first president in the history of our country to open up the oil sector to probe. He singlehandedly set up the AIG Imoukhede committee to investigate and make verifications for subsidy payments in Nigeria. The report came out and many doubted the sincerity of government to implement it.
But Jonathan did what no other Nigerian President has done. He started the prosecution of those Indicted by Aig Imoukhede by charging the sons of his political leaders and friends.
It is on record that sons of prominent PDP leaders were the first to be charged for subsidy corruption. ALI and Tukur were arraigned by EFCC and only admitted to court bail.
The matter is still ongoing. EFCC has dragged over 14 persons to court. More are still to be charged in the coming weeks.

Marketers indicted for over 400 billion are making refunds to Ngozi Okonjo Oweala. EFCC is still after so many of them. The oil sector has never been under this scrutiny and transperancy before. In addition, GEJ started the idea of budgeting for subsidy funds. It wasn't like that before. The amount spent on subsidy were deducted as first line charge thus shrouded in secrecy.

Politics / Re: Fg Alone Cannot Solve Insecurity- Maku by Mallamabdul: 1:05pm On Oct 05, 2012
BeraBera: Insecurity vs security begins with all of us at the grassroot level. If we all can promptly report any suspicious movement, faces or happenings around us to the security agencies, I believe it would be a bold step towards effective solution to the problems. In Nigeria, You would always see people standing by, watching as onlookers while someone is being attacked by armed robbers. You see people gathering to feed their eyes after a bomb blast, without making calls towards the rescue of affected victims.

Secondly, greed and lack of contentment also breed insecurity. By the time someone is envying his rich neighbor and is desirous of making quick money, he wouldn't mind doing all sorts of evil to achieve his desires, including armed robbery, kidnapping, "boko-haraming", etc.

We really have to re-orientate ourselves.
You hve said it all

Mark will ensure that his home is developed with respect to its resource allocation.
The contention should be what has he done by way of personal assistance to improve manpower development in his region.
what are you saying, did anyone ask him to use his personal funds? He is the number 3 citizen of this country for over 4yrs now, not mentioning other political positions he has held in this country. First he ranted about the stadium grass which his ad hoc committe on sports failed to notice and correct until Jonathan intervened.
Secondly, they asked for another increase in their allowances. The glutonic Senate.
Some days back, he asked for a new quarters to be erected for him due to security reasons.
Now he is calling a Minister careless talker for restating the obvious.
Even a kindergarten toddler knows that a mere resolution of a legislature has no force of law. What is binding is an act passed by them, not a resolution.
grin grin perhaps, when the supporter of APC clears, Mark will understand that he is the one talks recklessly.

Jeboy: Also, the new private power companies will need Power engineers, technicians, Accountants, Biz Admin officials, IT experts, Customer Care Centres for Customer care support staffs, etc so you guys should strategise who are this companies and go to their sites to know when they will be recruiting? GEJ will not do that for you. Anybody expecting that is only day dreaming.Govt creates d environment for employment but its our duty to do the needful and be proactive towards benefitting frm d economic effects from dis projects.
Clearly, the best comment on this thread. It is Jonathan's job to create enabling environment for jobs to be created. The president is doing just that through the privatisation of PHCN and other reforms.
The emerging private distribution companies will definitely need more hands on deck so there will be massive employment opportunities across board. It is left for you to take advantage of this new window of opportunity.

Politics / Re: New Pics Of National Media Tour -day 2 by Mallamabdul: 4:13pm On Sep 22, 2012
The beauty of it all is just that GEJ shuns politics and sentiments to sustain whatever projects inherited from previous presidents. He loves starting from there and completing it. That's the hallmark of great leadership. Some leaders prefer to shy away from inherited projects and start there own so that they will be credited with it. But it's not so with Jonathan. Jonathan has revived so many abandoned projects especially the power stations

Politics / Re: Patience Jonathan Is Still Alive - Gej!!! by Mallamabdul: 11:01am On Sep 12, 2012
dedeike: SAHARA SHOPRITE OF LIES.
After putting the whole social media in a round of hot rumours over the death of Patience Jonathan, they have realized the futility of this blackmail venture and decided to do a sommersault to say she is now alive. Very shameful.
Look at how desperation is stripping people of their God given conscience. Because you have an axe to grind with the president over his unwavering resolve to transform Nigeria, you now engage online liars to concort negative stories against the Wife.

This same SAHARA SHOPRITE of lies said the president's wife caused Dana Crash because she blocked the airspace for landing.
This same SAHARA SHOPRITE of lies told us that the president's wife suffered appendix rupture and every discerning mind on Nairaland wondered how a rupture of appendix would have survived a 6 hours flight to Germany. Gradually, it's turning out more to be fibriod surgery.
This same SHARA SHOPRITE of lies posted midnight that the president had cancelled his trip and their "SOURCE" briefed them of the rumours in Aso Rock over the president's wife death.
This same SAHARA SHOPRITE of lies have done a U Turn in less than 3 hours to change the story to President's wife s alive.

Now can any objective mind tell me why we should ever take SAHARA SHOPRITE OF LIES seriously again?
All through the night, the likes of DAYOKANU and OLD GBAWE were awake like WINCHES and were gloating over the rumours of Madam Patience from their new CNN-SAHARA SHOPRITE OF LIES.

Somebody should go and tell them that their darling CNN has made a volte face to say our first lady is Alive.
Somebody should also take them on tutorials on the distinction between a serving president and a first lady. Such tutorials will help them understand that while YarAdua's whereabouts is of the essence, Patience Jonathan's whereabouts is inconsequential. There is no semblance whatsoever.

You have said it all. Those guys are so gullible
Politics / Re: N106BN Approved For New Airport Terminals by Mallamabdul: 1:38am On Sep 08, 2012
Bukkyade: Gej is really working. Each passing day, we hear and discuss news of his developmental strides. The other day he was in Anambra to commission the new sea ports and oil refinery. The next thing, we heard about the visit/inspection of Enugu-Onitsha road and the assurance of the minister to expedite action. By Wednesday, the information minister announced the re award of so many road projects under the SURE P including the Enugu-Onitsha axis and phase 2 of the Benin-Sagamu, and Kano-Maidugri. We also discussed on this forum last week, the AIT's report on resumption of the Kaduna-Niger railway operations. In that same thread, it was stated that so many rail tracks are being refurbished including the Lagos-Kano and Abuja-kaduna etc.

The steady power supply and privatisation dominated discussions last week following Barth NNaji's resignation as power Minister. There was general consensus that power had improved nationwide and urged the president to sustain the present trend. Both critics and opposition alike acknowledged the giant strides recorded by the Jonathan govt on power. Yesterday, MAN came out with a public declaration that 250 companies came up in the last one year of Jonathan.
A thread was created on Nairaland for YOUWIN 2. By Tuesday, Jonathan had launched it and reserved it exclusively for women participation. Sometime last week, we applauded the smooth takeoff of the SOVERIGN WEALTH FUND as Ngozi Iweala inaugurated a board of proffesionals to run it. I read on twitter yesterday several reports by EFCC restating its preparedness to charge more subsidy thieves when the courts return from vacation.

Just when it appeared that oil markerters were going to plunge Abuja into another hardship of long queues over Subsidy claims, the FG came out publicly with facts of how they have met all genuine outstanding subsidy claims. They also cautioned against panic buying as the FG assured of enough supplies to last for the next one month.

On this thread, we are discussing the massive remodeling and reconstruction of our airports. GEJ IS REALLY WORKING. LET'S FACE IT

I believe you. Jonathan has been trying and I believe in his ability to sustain the tempo till 2015.

dedeike: I don't care where the president comes from. What I care about is performance. A performing president deserves a second term irrespective of the power equations and zonning arrangements in the political space.
I'm convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that Jonathan has done exceedingly well in the past one year to deserve a second term.
The power sector reforms and improvement of power supply is unparalleled and needs time and consistency to consolidate.
The railways projects are slowly been revived. Many highways are being rehabilitated with major roads like BENIN-ORE-SAGAMU, Abuja-Lokoja, East -West, Onitsha-Enugu reawarded for proper funding through SURE P.
11 Airports are being reconstructed and new terminals being awarded for construction.
New seaports are being commissioned in Onitsha with existing ones sanitized and a number of unwanted law enforcement agencies reduced in the warfs.
We have never had these numerous projects by any government in its first year in office

dedeike: Mr president, I believe you. And I have never been ashamed nor afraid to say it.
You are bringing something new and refreshing to governance. Under your watch, we are beginning to experience new frontiers in the art of governance.

We are beginning to see openness and transparency at its peak. Before you came, NNPC and allied oil agencies were ran like secret cults. No body knew how much was paid as subsidy or the faces behind importation. Subsidy payments were drawn as first line charge, no appriopration whatsoever. Today, we have not only seen the faces of the cabal but we have seen them being dragged to court.  Your govt has given us the first comprehensive legislation on Energy sector as PIB. Your govt is repairing our refineries and executed PPP with Vulcan for 6 new ones.

You are reforming poower. Refurbishing power plants and pursuing privatisation of PHCN. In one year, you have recorded an all time high generation of 4,477 megawatts as evidenced in the links below

You are renovating all our major international airports with Enugu shut down completely for overhaul, domestic wing of Abuja airports too. The works include massive upgrade of runways and all airport facilities.

You are sanitizing our ports, withdrawing 9 parasitic agencies from the wharfs thereby easing the clearing of goods
You are starting 9 new federal universities in one year, 2 law school campuses in Yola and Yenogoa, increased funding to 400 billion, setting up Almajiri school systems, settled all outstanding issues with ASUU thereby reducing strikes. Upgrade of lectures retirement age from 65 to 70.
Minimum wage increment for workers and corpers.

Spearheading Agricultural reforms and fertilizer redistribution and the cassava initiative which is largely misunderstood by the unintelligent.
reviving our railways. Commenced phase II of the Lagos- Kano. With Abuja-Kaduna at 30% ongoing.

Through your minister of finance, you re entrenching fiscal discipline and insisting that all projects must pass through due process causing corrupt politicians to threaten impeachment.
They say you should have implemented 100% a budget that was only passed in April all because you insist that the era of racketeering with constituency projects are gone.

Did u just call me an ignorant fellow?? anyway im too civilized to be calling pple names. I dont believe in passing insults on people. But Sir, the figures are there...please tell us how much we have generated as a country within the time GEJ became president and our expenditure to date? what happened to all our reserves? and also tell us how much have been looted? brosss abegiiiiii this forum is not a place to expose certain things but our unborn generation will not forgive us if we all fold our hands and refuse to call for accountability. If GEJ can prosecute all the thieving oil cabals including those presently serving in his cabinets, i will doff my hat for him. it is obvious they know their strategy Motion without movement until evrythin is swept under d carpet since GEJ himself is a culprit. Bunch of looting fellows. Im too informed and exposed to believe all these craps. And if you read my write up very well, u will see that i said even the ACN guys are as guilty as pdp. When d messiah comes, we dont need a prophet to tell us b4 we know. God shall judge you all.....mtchewww

Its easy to criticise but facts dont lie. GEJ has generated over 4,770 megawatts since he came in as against the less than 2600 he met on ground. He Is targeting 9000 MW and this is realizable given the ongoing construction of mambilla and Zungeru. He also intends to privatise PHCN for more efficiency.

Our Foriegn reserves have not depleted as you erroneously tried to portray in your post. Rather it has increased from 32 to 36 billion in April 2012.
The money in our excess crude account has not also been wasted. The GEJ govt seeks to put an end to this culture of waste by creating the Soverign Wealth Fund which shall be a legal account for savings for the rainy days.

Its also funny that you don't know about the ongoing prosecution of oil thieves. How ridiculous? Do you watch TV at all?

Since Jonathan has said his boys are not doing enuf on the media to promote him, thus making him vulnerable to various media bashes, we should definitely expect more sponsored articles/write-ups such as this. these paid agents no wan lose their job o.

In the developed world, nations try to outshine themselves in d area of devpt. Recently UK just introduced a cable Car just bc sme developed nations like canada, USA australia etc have started using it. The reverse is the case in Naija, we try to outshine ourselves in corruption (esp how much we can loot). The successive Govts have plundered and stolen our collective wealth subjecting the masses to perpetual poverty. How has GEJ's programs impacted the masses? the poverty level is in on d increase, the rate of unemplyment is all-time high, dilapidated n ill-equipped shanties we call hospital and they bolt out of the country at d slightest headache. How much is the nation's daily revenue genration? how much is expended on capital project n recurrent expenditure? how much did GEJ meet when he assumed office, in treasury, external reserves, what was our debt profile then and what is it now? A president that has surrounded himself with people of questionable xters and pen robbers, crooks in d banking industry and other political criminals? what was GEJ antecedence as a local Govt officer, a deputy Gov, and even as Governor? Since he has been seting up committee upon committee what has been the outcome? Our dept profile is rising on daily basis without any commensurate physical development and poverty eradication. where is all the money going into when the ppl can only see the crumbs? Our mentality as a pple, has been badly damaged by successive oppressive Govt and d ruling class such that we no longer know d essence of governance, and dats why people can be praising Fashola in lagos as if he has done smthin so special (dat is outside his jurisdiction as ppls Governor), why am i paying tax then when i cannot enjoy sme basic amenities of life?. Have we sat down to analyze the internally generated fund IGF of lagos alone, not to talk of the allocation from the federal Govt? if u do, then u will know dat what fashola is dishing out to lagosians is just d crumbs....the rest is being shared amongst the thieving politicians. mayb we should ask him how much he gives Tinubu on mthly basis. I take time to analyze some of these points to sensitize our psyche, we can demand for our rights from these thieving politicians. Let us shun sentiments, relious bigotry and tribalism and tell these people to stop treating us like dogs, by throwing crumbs at us. I dont care if OBJ is from my town, or IBB is from d north or GEJ is frm d Niger-delta. Enuf is enuf, lets stand against corruption, kleptocracy, oppression and unneccesaary media propaganda. Nelson Mandela doesnt need anybody to sing his praise for him. hes being respected tday because he commanded it, this is a president dat was begged to run for 2nd term and he declined. GEJ has not even commenced his 1st tenure, hes started drumming support for 2015, what is wrong wt the black race?. If GEJ wants respect, he shld command it by doing d right things (employment creation, cut d numb of ppl in his cabinets, cut recurrent expentiure, transparency in budget expenses to d last kobo, fix ourr hospitals, fix all d major roads, prosecute all d oil cabals including those serving in his administartion if he truly has liver, tackle security challenges, stop looting our common wealth, infact d list is endless. Maybe he can start by 1st decalring his assets. May God save naija

All hot rantings and vituperations of an ignorant fellow. Jonathan should end unemployment, give you state of the art hospitals and turn Nigeria to US for you in one year in office?
Something that his predecessors have failed to do since 1960, you want Magician Jonathan to do immediately. You must be a class clown.

Unknown to you, GEJ is fixing the power problem that has held this country back for years. He is the first president to generate upto about 4770 MW in one year. And he is doing more.
He has started reviving railways that were abandoned long time ago. He is also working on roads like Benin -Ore and Kano-Maidugri which were abandoned by previous govts. He is working on the airports and the last time I used Kano and Abuja airports, I was impressed with the level of work going on. Im happy with the new Federal university being set up in Lafia and the admission and employment prospects it holds for my brothers. I have plied Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia and appreciate the completion of that road project by this government.

You mentioned unemployment. Without talking about the YOUWIN projects, I want to ask you whether you can quantify the employment opportunities that the PRIVATISATION of distribution companies in the power sector holds for our unemployed youths? Do you also know the number of jobs that will be created if this improved power supply is maintained? What about the agricultural reforms that has made access to fertilizer easy in the open market? Have you bothered to acquaint your self with the cassava bread issue and seek ways of keying into it? have you bothered to know what PIB is all about and the employment opportunities it holds for Nigerian youths? Pls educate yourself

You also talked about corruption. Please can you tell me any govt in Nigeria's history that ventured into probing its oil sector and expose the oil cabal? Since 1960, we have been hearing the oil looters. Have you seen any name or company indicted for looting oil in Nigeria? Have you ever seen anybody prosecuted for the age long theft of our oil money? But we have seen Jonathan do all of these within just one year of his election as President. We now know the names of the invisible oil cabal. We now see the high and mighty being dragged to court for oil loot. Please let's be realistic
Politics / Re: Bamanga Tukur To Stand Surety For His Son by Mallamabdul: 3:55pm On Aug 23, 2012
dedeike: I have found out that there is nothing this govt will do that will please avowed critics

First they crticised GEJ for not having the balls to probe the cabal. when they saw that GEJ had defied that sinister predictions, by setting up the AIG committee, the story changed.
Next they alleged that the AIG committee was another of such committees which will come and go without a report. To their shock, AIG submitted his report.

When the president sought to give protesting markerters a last opportunity to defend themselves through the review panel, the critics went to town shouting that it is a plan by the president to kill the report. They made a mockery of the review committee deriding it as a committee upon committee for a committe by a committee.

At last, the AIG Committee submitted it's final report indicting additional companies excluded in the corruption tainted FACROOK report. The critics changed tunes immediately.
The new song was that the report was not going to be implemented and has been consigned into the dustbin of history. Even when the President had forwarded the list to EFCC for investigation and prosecution, the critics still said it was all drama and a charade.

The EFCC came and announced those indicted including the sons of National leaders of the ruling party. The critics said the anti graft agency was just playing to the gallery and that such calibre of suspects will be hidden from prosecution.

Next we saw EFCC charge the Son's of Ahmadu Ali and TUKUR to court, the story now changed again. This time they're predicting that the accused persons will escape justice. Some have even ascribed unto Jonathan the powers of a judge. In their ignorance and low minds, GEJ will still preside over their trial and convict them hence the continuous abuse of the president over the ongoing court processes.

In this story, we have all read in the last paragrapgh how the EFCC lawyers put up a spirited argument against the grant of bail to Tukur's son. The case has been adjourned till tomorrow for ruling. if the judge decides to rule against EFCC and grant the accused person's bail. The critics will again rush to this forum to blame Jonathan. HABA!

I hope he is been sincere, cause that is the only way he will escape the wrath of God. Everyone that has hands or has supported the sect either with funds, speeches or even write ups would be brought to book soon, already they have started killing each other.
Politics / Re: Power Supply: GEJ Seeks 'Honest Feedback' From Nigerians by Mallamabdul: 12:44pm On Aug 17, 2012
Sincerely, I must confess GEJ is working. I drink chilled water and relax with my fan for hours and even sleep with light. I would vote GEJ over and over again. Pls sir do more, for me and my household you are our president.

I have come to observe that there are some people who either derive joy in seeing the country fail or are paid to ridicule every genuine effort of govt. I'm yet to come to terms as to the reason why somebody would stick out his neck to argue against other people's genuine testimonies. How will somebody in Lagos be restive over a Lokoja resident's claims that power has become regular in his house.
I am yet to understand how a person without a vested pecuniary interest will stay up late in the night attacking any view in affirmation of visible improvement of a govt in the power sector. It's mind boggling. It also baffles me how they manage to argue against common reason. With the trend of this senseless attacks, I have come to the irresistible conclusion that El Rufai or Bakare or Tinubu has many paid agents on Nairaland. And their activities and tactics are poorly veiled.

Politics / Re: ₦8Bn For African First Ladies Secretariat Permanent Site by Mallamabdul: 4:48pm On Jul 28, 2012
dedeike: Foolishness. Ignorance. Desperation. Blackmail. Propaganda and idiocy can never come in a better form.
When you just feel that these clowns have gone full circle, they come up with another rubbish. I wonder why these hirelings will stop at nothing to blackmail the most responsive and pro people govt in Nigeria's history.

There is nothing in that report or any other report suggestive that a kobo of tax payers money will be involved in that project. So why the hair splitting?
Did you see GEJ or Okonjo IWeala tell you that they are going to release 8 billion for this project?
That report is clear, to anybody who read it, that first ladies numbering over 54 will contribute money for the project. Our own first lady says she will appeal to corporate bodies for help.

An association that prides itself as African First ladies summit met and resolved to build a secretariat of themselves, for themselves, and by themselves. So what's our business?
Except you have all become witches and wizards, I don't see why you should stand in the way of the first ladies to source for sponsorship from corporate bodies and well meaning individuals.

In a saner clime, our discourse on this forum would have been more on how to donate money for this wonderful initiative intended to promote peace in Africa.
Our own first lady deserves real commendation for living up to our giant of Africa status by calling the shots in the comity of African first ladies.

What you haters desire is a situation whereby this, secretariat for whatever it's worth, to be built in Johannesburg or Abidjan? Our first lady is smarter than you dull brains.
If anything, let the secretariat be in Abuja and beautify our landscape. But I'm sure the benefits will go beyond that as Nigerians, not Malawians,Somalians or south Africans, will be recruited as staff of the secretariat.

I understand that the opposition is desirous to win presidency in 2015 but resort to cheap blackmail and propaganda is not the way to go about it.

Na gode! I don't just know why body dey pepper this morons for this forum. Money no be their own. Secretariat no be their own they no tell
