No be small marketing o. Makes you wonder if most of the people that come here to say they have used it are actually genuine. Just that I got a first hand info from my colleague that used it n I have family there, if not, I for they change mind o. let your services speak for you instead of embarking on cheap marketing. And house, has anyone noticed that that their letter of medical responsibility is neither signed nor stamped? They just sent mine and I told them to sign or stamp it. They have being stalling since then. A friend of mine said they noticed it at Atlanta POE, it almost became an issue. please for those yet to get theirs, tell them to sign it. I will keep bombarding them with emails, them never jam Igbo naija woman! lol.

I was like u with my 1st pregnancy, had CS phobia, but my pikin come decide say name leg e go use comot, but was so shocked how it all went. was even gisting with d one of d doctors, in less than 20mins they were done.the nxt day I was already on my feet. So don't be scared. The society we live in had made it seem like its a taboo. All we want is a healthy baby n mama.

But on a lighter note, its almost the same price with elpaso. only that elpaso flight tickets are higher coz the place far no be small. almost 5hours from NYC. So Mihs is still OK, u just have to upgrade your bugdet.

[quote author=rockchic]Hi Ladies, please help oh.

I applied for renewal via drop box 2 weeks ago and got issued (b1 b2 for visit, christmas vacation). problem now is i have just missed my period ohhhhhh. I had my first baby there , left at 26 weeks and was there till i gave birth. went visiting two other times after that. As it is now, deffinitely i would want to have this baby there. Do i email them to ask whether i should apply for a medical visa? i dont know what to do...cos i didnt know i would get preg when applying.....my husband had been away and came visiting and then this happened......

You don't need to apply for another visa. I also renewed via drop box, wasn't preggers as at that time, but took in a month later. I just sent them d normal mail Informing them and got the standard response.

[quote author=olamuah]Pls have been following dis thread need some advice urgently, hv been to d embassy July wit my family for vacation but was denied visa although I was preg then nd was asked I said no, and my kids passport still virgin we have nt traveld together before and nw want to reapply but wit my hubby alone and this time making it obvious am going to give birth, my appointment is soon but am scared what if am asked y I lied the last time dat I wasn't preg what should I say?although hv gotten letter from doctores para Ti. Thnks waiting for ur reply ASAP

You can tell them you had not made proper arrangements with doctors and hospitals, so you were not really sure , and because you also didn't state childbirth in ur form, so you didn't want to complicate issues. and you had also heard from alot of people how they reject preggy women. or u can as well just tell them the truth that u were scared do u lied! The gurus in d house can give u more advice.

[quote author=MadameU]@ Malory please what response did you get from the embassy when you wrote to inform them of using your Visa for a different purpose?
I also got my visa last year and was for vacation purpose...

I sent to Abuja embassy n it went like this:

Dear Mrs.........

Thank you for your inquiry. Before you travel to the United States to have a child you should make the appropriate preparations, including an appointment with a healthcare provider, detailed information about where you will receive your medical services, and an estimate of the financial costs. Immigration officials may ask for this information upon your arrival.  Healthcare in the United States is expensive, including costs associated with child birth, and can escalate quickly if there are complications. You are expected to pay all costs associated with the medical services received.  Retain an itemized statement of account from your healthcare provider that outlines all of the charges from your care and receipt of your payment.

We hope this information is helpful to you. Congratulations to you and your family.

Best Regards,

[quote author=shelly23]I was in the same boat with my first pregnancy. I ended up going to the market to buy chiffon and light cotton fabrics and got my tailor to make me a whole bunch of shift dresses. That's what I wore throughout my pregnancy.

I think I might just do that. The ones my sister ordered for me from motherhood ended up being so short coz I'm tall. by the time height plus belle carry the thing finish, it required i use leggings which is a big NO. Thanks for this suggestion.

Pls, don't listen to your friends. Are you considering the fact that your visa could be revoked when you send them that letter. It has happened to someone here. You can't tell me you have gone through this thread and still thinking of lieing about your pregnancy. Women on this thread have gone with their huge belle and they were given.

[quote author=ella77]Good day everyone,
Will like to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone on this thread. I got into El paso on Friday wt BA via Dallas.

Cbp asked what I came to do in d US and I told him to have my baby, she asked for my docs from my doctor and reservation, I showed her and she sent me in for secondary inspection but waz discharged after abt 5 mins asking me to make sure I paid my bills.
I declared d foodstuffs I had, so was also sent to check out them out after I was asked to leave, another cbp guy asked for my reason for d visit , I told him and he asked for proof. I gave him my letter from doctoresparati and he called them immediately to confirm if they were expecting me. He apologized for d delay and wished me a safe delivery.

Congrats on your poet experience. pls I also want o know were you got your luggage, Dallas or elpaso, because I am also flying the BA route. If it was Dallas after they checked your foodstuff was it BA that carried it to the airline that took you to elpaso or you did that yourself? and was there any extra cost attached to it?

Laura4u: @Freshface- please did you write your name and passport number in the mail you sent top the embassy?
You don't need to write your passport number, but try and write your name. I wrote my name and they replied me addressing me by my name, which I really liked, at least it doesn't make it feel like a generic response.

oyinkay123: hello all, its my first time here, i went for my interview on tuesday, i told the VO i will be having my baby in the US. after all the questions and answers session, the VO requested for my evidence that i've contacted a hospital in the US, which i then handed over my email correspondences to her. after going through it, she said i should contact the hospital and equest for a detailed budget for delivery and then return to the embassy on thursday, which is tomorrow. she gave me a form to come with. what are the assurances of getting the visa.
Thesame thing happened to my Cuzin. Could be thesame VO. She just got a breakdown of the cost which was signed. And took it back to them the following day and she was given. I would say your chances are very high. If the VO didn't want to hive you, he/she would have blatantly refused you. They just want to be sure and have your documents I guess. Good luck.
