Good morning everyone.

Am not supposed 2 write dis on this thread, but because of some guys who are highly informed, I decided to put it here for ur opinion.

That being said, I cud not afford USA education, I decided to opt 4 Czech republic.

I applied to one of d university in Czech, but was sent an email to superlegalize my transcript n bachelor certificate. However, the transcript has b superlegalized both at d ministry of education, foreign affairs n Czech embassy both at Abuja.

Latter on, I was told to do d same on my certificate, which I never obliged.

My question now is this. Does a seal on ur certificate by Czech embassy renders it useless?

Remember, d seal is placed at d back of ur certificate.

I really need ur contribution on this.

I don't think its proper to have a seal on your original certificate other than the school seal. You can get in touch with your Undergraduate school and ask them about it, if they say no other seal should be on the certificate, have them write an official letter to your intended university stating that it is prohibited to have a seal other than that of the university. My 2 cents though.

That was what i used to calculate mine. It was pretty simple. Put each individual course, credit unit load (number of hours) and grade obtained (either A, B or C). If your took say 80 courses in school, input each individual course with the grades and click calculate when you are done. it will output your equivalent CGPA using USA grading systems. You have a good GPA, Best of Luck.

Ok. Thanks a lot.

Lots of schools don't require GRE. Visit departmental webpages.

Thank you so much. Please can you suggest any school you know that don't require GRE?

To be honest, 277 is such a poor score that i'm sure no school would accept you for admission with such score. The least score one can obtain in GRE is 260, that is if you did not write anything, which is equivalent to 0 on a scale of 100 and the highest score is 340, which is equivalent to 100 on a scale of hundred. And you scored 277/340 which is equivalent to 20/100 or so. Let's be honest, you think a school would have such low requirement of 20/100 for admission?

My suggestion to you is to retake the GRE test and this time be serious about it. The GRE test is something that requires, at least, a month of intense preparation and there is a trick to taking it. You would not know the doors a good GRE score opens up for you before and even after you arrive America.

Thanks a lot 2bigfrancis21. I know my scores are really low. Had 144 in Verbal, 133 Q and 4.5 Analytical writing. The truth is i had less than a month prep. I can retake the test but the Quantitative section is really scary and when it comes to Mathematics, on a scale of 1/10, i am between 1&3. With that said, how long do you think i need to study to improve on it, and what are the tricks to acing it? Between, i am looking at Strategic Communication Program , Public Administration, targeting fall admissions and most of the schools have April to May deadlines.

With that cgpa, you should be able to do better in GRE if you can re write it, else, that takes you no where. Best!

Thank you very much for your response. I know i can do better, but the quantitative section is worrisome. I am very poor when it comes to Mathematics.

Thanks alot guys. 2 schools are demanding the evaluated transcript, the other 2 says its must be official; in sealed envelops, sent by the school. This application process is really draining, not to talk of the money you have to spend on application fees, chasing lecturers up and down for LOR. Congrats to anyone who has gotten an offer.

Good morning guys. pls o. For those that applied to like 5 schools and sent official transcript, did you get your school to send to each school at a total price? to send official transcript from my school is 30,000. so does it mean that for each school i send to , its 30k.

Why don't you go for a course with better carrier prospects...makes your life easier as well in the long run.

Hmmm. Are you saying it has a low career prospect? I am also applying for an MPA degree. For Arts and social students, our courses are usually broad and not streamlined like sciences courses.

277 is a lil low, but u can check the sch's website for their GRE requirement, you would also need a good GPA, SOP and recommendation letter. However, if you choice is to re-write. Prepare for about two months, get the magoosh video posted via a dropbox link (can't remember the exact page). It will really help in your preparations. Don't be scared, be determined..."na small tin".... cheers

Thanks alot. My GPA is 3.98/5 . I don't know what the result will be if scaled on a 4. I will retake the test.

Am sorry for your loss
Am not mocking anyone,it would be very wrong of me neither would I insult anyone.
I encourage people to sue and I always will.
It's just wrong to give examples but there's also a lady who did IVF in naija went to the USA lost the baby and it was ruled as SIDS(sudden infant death syndrome) it occurred in the hospital nursery.

@slimwendy85, so sorry for your loss. Mr Dr Africa. I don't get the point of this your argument . I understand you love your country hence the need to defend the healthcare. But please be realistic, you can't compare a mansion and a face me I face you. I had my baby recently in elpaso and the birth experience was eventful. I have no regrets coming here because if to say na NAija I dey, I no know how e for be. Because a friend of mine had almost the same complications I had but they couldn't handle it. Her baby was not handling contractions well and they still administered pitocin. Same with me, he wasn't handling contractions well , his heart beat kept dropping and going up, they decided to wait on the pitocin , because since he wasn't handling mine well pitocin would be worse. I don't want to give the whole story, but my baby ended up in NiCu after swallowing so much miconium. You can't even start imagining the amount of doctors and nurses that hovered around him, the over the top care both from nurses and doctors. My primary reason for coming here to give birth was because of the blue pally, but after I had my child, blue pally became secondary. I just paid twice my budget on nicu and I don't even feel it because I am grateful to God for the opportunity I have to travel to the United States. My child is well and perfect. I will come here again till I'm done! Our healthcare is wack! Just accept it and stop trying to prove rubbish here Biko.

While you wait for the drugs, in the meantime, get her some lemon, cut into 2, Squeeze the juice in a tea cup with the body of the lemon. Add hot water and allow to cool for some minutes. Give her to drink morning and night. It normalises blood pressure. But she shouldn't take it if she's suffering from ulcer. Learnt it is not good for ulcer patients.

@Nogen thanks a lot. would have done that but she has Ulcer.
