BVNO:My dear, nothing to fear, wen I was preggers for my 1st child, at 7 months my tummy was really small. it bulged out at 8/9months. I had a really small tummy. But it really helped coz immediately after delivery it went flat I was even shocked upon say na CS o. |
Congrats Phema. I am happy your baby is doing great. 36weeks! you just never know with pregnancy. @Tvegas, congrats on your poe n that of your wife. safe delivery to her. Please does any1 have an idea of a shipping company in elpaso that ships to Naija? for those asking for the hospital details, i am using UMC, university medical centre of Elpaso. Nice hospital. They are the only hospital that really offer vbac. U can Google b4 dem brand me marketer! like Tvegas said, me too want to respect myself. |

Thanks a lot. don't mind them. I am not using doctoresparati o. wanted a vbac but theirs was high. So got a more reasonable Vbac fee. |
Hello everyone. I am reporting life from El Paso. I thank God for a smooth journey. I say make me too share POE story. So I left Abuja airport on Saturday morning via BA. Don't know who said their food is tasteless, but I had a nice time. Their food was nice, much better than the rubbish airfrance serves. Phemalicious, thanks for that wheelchair info, it came in handy at heathrow. My POE was Chicago. They ain't smiling in that Chicago o, it was almost a tough one sha, but my God pass them. As I got to immigration(was with my toddler and MIL) was still using eye to scan through we're to go when one lady sent me straight to one tall big guy. And it went like this. Cbp: what are you here for? Me:to have my baby and vacation Cbp: say that again, I repeated. Cbp: not another one again! Na so him colleague start to laugh o, and was like 'you have really being getting a lot of them today. Cbp:so how are you paying for this Me: I have already prepaid in full ,I have the receipts and also have cash. Cbp: how much cash Me: 9000$ and hands him my receipts Cpb: looks through the receipts and was like 5500 for hospital and doctor? That's impossible! What kind of package is this? Me: it's a discounted package for self paying patients. Cbp: not possible. Why did you choose Texas? Me: I did my research and the fees aligned with my budget and I also have family there. Cbp stamps my MIL n Son for 6months o, and told me 'sorry can't stamp yours this bill is rather too small. What do you do ? Told him. So were is your husband, told him he's coming to spend Christmas with us. And then he tells me to follow him to sec inspection. Got to sec inspection and he told the officers ' another one is here' drops my passport and leaves. I say these people, all my cabals hung untop una head no go go in vain. His supervisor came out and saw all the different envelops I had with me( I arranged my documents in differents brown envelops and labelled them. Embassy letter in one, all test results from NAija in one envelop, then all my email correspondence with the hospital , letter of responsibility from doctor, and receipts in another one. Burden of proof no be small one o. And the. He goes " can I see what you have in there? He took it and left. I was there for almost an hour o. Another pretty lady was already there before me. Later they came and told me to come and identify my luggage o. Ha, I say these people, coz I heard wen dey want to send u back them go bring your luggage for you, that's what they did to my neighbor. After about almost an hour o, the guy comes back out and goes "your documents are very coordinated, you seem to have prepared well for this. Spoke to your doctor and the hospital and they confirmed everything. I think he read every paper o, coz was wondering why the delay. Your free to go. Gives me my passport were he stamped b2. I thanked him and rushed out quickly before them change mind. Lol. I almost missed my elapse flight o. In fact we were the last to bored, they were already seated and buckled. My bags were not searched at all. I really thank God because that first guy just wanted to pour sand in my garri and the fact that he had delt with some NAija preggy women that same day. Chicago Poe ain't easy o. Was really praying because that's were they sent my neighbor back from. I really thank God for this thread. It made me cross all T's and dot my I's. Thanks everyone.wish everyone the best. Sorry for the long post. |
Snowles:I still they o. leaving very soon o. na last prep I just they do. plus plenty cabashin! will update as soon as I reach by Gods grace. |
Ezemistic:
The BA website is rejecting my child as infant on the inbound flight.. since my child is 1yr & 10months on the outbound, but above 2yrs on the inbound. thats why i want to use agent website.. Even an agent ant help you with this. They will tell u to pay child ticket for your toddler. This happened to us. Other airlines too. This is what we did. If you stay in Abuja, just go to transcorp and book directly from them. There's a black woman that sits at the end do the row, she's is the only one that can help you. What she didi for us was to book me and my toddler as infant on outbound flight, and then a separate ticket for him on the inbound flight as a child and we paid like 80k for it. We really tried other airlines and they insisted we must book him as child which is 70% of your ticket. Pls when are you leaving elpaso, I really want company o. Elpaso can be really boring. |
Phema:Thanks alit babe. Imela. |
@phema congrats on your successful entry. e don tey wey I been they wait your post. Lol .I am leaving next week, I pray for favour too. also flying BA.pls as regards the wheelchair service, were did u request for if , Lagos airport or at Heathrow? because I really need it. but I am also going with my MIL and toddler, he has a stroller, do u think I can also request for wheelchair for my MIL? Thanks a lot. |

@Justwise has a point sha. I hope you know these VO's ain't stupid, even the CBP officers. It will get to a time when they will be tired of seeing those letters. Thats exactly what happening with the doctorsparati letter now. I still maintain she should read through the thread, people have had similar situations. If she ain't satisfied with what she has gotten so far, she should read through or go to the travel section, there's a visa officer that answers some non immigrant questions, he can tell her how to go about it. A beg make I go sleep. now I fully understand them groundnut eaters , Phema don answer questions sotey she tire. Goodnight everyone. May we all have good stories to tell. |
@Feddy24. Sorry if I sounded rude. But what I said is just the hard truth, just that it didn't appear polite. over and over it has been said that people should try and read. Anyway, let me give my opinion. There's actually nowhere you can state child birth, u can only click on medical. which is equally under b1/b2. if you already have a doctors correspondence, you use the hospital as your address, unless you already have a place to stay. if they read through and they want more info, they can invite you for interview which I highly doubt. 2ndly, u can just say vacation, send them a letter afterwards stating change of plans. It all boils down to which one your comfortable with. |
feddy27:my dear, its nobody's job to and anybody. people are actually busy. please read through the thread. intact you don't even need to start from the beggining, from PG 200 I'm sure you will get your ans. people just go to travel pg, see the topic of this thread and don't even bother to read through, even a bit! na to just they ask question that even has an ans already on the previous page. smh! It can be annoying sha, especially for people that actually read through the page. I used to really enjoy this thread , but not anymore. I used drop box to renew so u can go through my post. |

lmao! if u really read through I'm sure you will definitely know how to go about getting a doctor and hospital. I guess the old gurus are really eating groundnut coz the repetitive questions are becoming something else. |
@Tenic09. during my first trimester they also found a 24mm fibroid. But by 2nd trimester I went for my next scan, nothing was found again. Even till now. So the size is really insignificant to be worried about. By the time you are ready to give birth, they can check for it again, if its still there, its at your own discretion to let them take it out. |
hardeymijuh:You Submit at DHL. No you don't need to schedule a date for submission. once you are done, you can take it for submission. |
GenoMI, that's true. don't think she knew that could be done. And she's the type that doesn't relate with people. her hubby n mine are friends. infact na d day she comot I hear say she dey go born. If we were close, i would have definitely told her. Her hubby was so shocked wen I showed him d email I sent to d embassy n d response. Her visa was revoked, so I don't think they have any plans to re apply. |
Ok so my Neighbor's wife was just sent back from Chicago POE. She left on Monday night with Lufhtansa, only for me to just see her driving out this morning. So it was her hubby that gave us the gist. So she got her visa when she wasn't pregnant yet. So when she got to POE, she declared her intention of coming to give birth. They asked her why she didn't tell the embassy when she was interview , she said because sh wasn't preggers then. They wanted to go on vacation. So when she found out she was preggers, she decided to use it for birthing purpose. The officer was like, "so when you changed your mind, did you try to inform the embassy of the change in plans? She said 'no'. And that was I to. She had 9000$ plus money in her card o. Na so them package am o back to NAija o. I'm so scared right now coz na Chicago be my POE. See me thinking Chicago is a stress free POE. Anyway, just wanted to share this sha. |
Phema:Nice one Phema. Going through Chicago. At the end of the day, its all about Gods Favour. |
@Petme13. Thank God you were finally stamped in o. E be like say Houston poe never change like we thought o. Did you take a direct flight from Naija? I can imagine how miserable you felt having to cater for both yourself and your toddler. May God grant us favour o. This is really scary sha. |
Make una take am easy o. Sometimes when I remember its a faceless forum, I ignore so many things. This thread is not owned by anybody, so keys all just try not to take things to heart. Its crazy coz you don't even know who your angry at. I pray we all have good stories ho share. Stay Blessed! |

@,cfccchicj. noticed you sent me a pm, but I can't even reply. I sent back the generic response. I'm also looking for a vbac doctor. The few I contacted are saying I'm far gone to take me. That one na their bizness. Not giving up. |
sorry, meant known to be strong and vibrant. |
yeah.In Mihs. Summary: All was fine. I enjoyed the care rendered until after delivery. When the effect of the epidural had worn out, the pain from the tear arose. then i was told i had a 4th degree tear with a 3.58kg baby. the delivery was just badly managed. i was already dealing with the pain when 2 weeks later, i started bleeding. i bled till i passed out, and the ambulance was called. rushed to the emergency, scan showed remnant of placenta tissue. and i had a d and c. and life continued. ![]() Racism is real mehn! This is a case of total negligence and incompetence and you were made to pay for it? Trust me if you were an OYIBO or citizen, they will be so scared of a lawsuite that you will be treated like a queen. In as much as we want a cheap hospital, we have to make this people realise that we aint stupid! you fly through the Atlantic ocean just to receive better medical care and end up with something like this? And then no apologies rendered. Biko key people, Nigerians are not known to be strong and vibrant people, why should we let ourselves be intimidated for your own money again. |
hopefulme:The only way to achieve this is if people start asking them, when there's majority, they would b forced to, they need our money! I know how many mails I sent to them b4 they agreed to sign and attach a doctors name. They are still stalling with the doctors letter, but I will keep bombarding them with mails. |
Tvegas:ErmTvegas, you should be very certain before you say somethings. The only place I disagree with you is the fact that none of the doctors are on that sit you posted. The doctor that was attached to my letter is even the first doctor on that list! Yes they are agents no doubt, what we have to do is let them start signing the letter, attach a doctors name and possibly get another letter from the doctor and I am seriously working on that. I don't even think they really call immigration if you don't show up. I think that's what they just use to scare people. |
The point is that so many people have used their letter, then get the visa and head to another state. So the letter has being over used. I earlier mentioned I didn't like the tone of the letter when they sent mine. no signature, no stamp. just too plain. Anyway they sent me another signed one with a doctors name attached to it and I have even looked up the doctor on Google. Me I don't want wahala at POE. This one they have started doing research, who's to say POE guys ain't doing the same. I am still searching for doctors, just in case. Those that are yet to get their visas, pls explore other options. |
Pleasure! Headed first week in Jan by His grace. Will go visit the hospital physically to get all my facts straight. Can't get to my notebook right now but got the number off their website via Google. Let me know if you have trouble getting it but u should be fine it's pretty straightforward. Cheers! . OK thanks. will search with Google. I'm headed 1st week in Dec, so will probably visit d hospital. we should try and hook up. just that I don't know how to send pm on this forum. can't drop my Email or pin here. pls send me a pm if you can. cheers. |

OK thanks. Pls can I have their contact so I can make enquiries about VBAC? plus let me know if you eventually get a doctor. when are you headed for Elpaso? |
Snowles:Pls what quote did they give you? do you have a doctor yet? Trying to look for other options in Elpaso coz I want to try VBAC. |
Lorlahbee:Antonio Asis Obgyn 2,345 hospital Denton Regional 3500. my cuzin is there right now. I actually got the contact from this thread. |
my heart is breaking! adonbilivit! a beg I just checked wakanow and its giving me 250k. what's d airport code and what dates are you guys using? |
Phema: @MerryMom: You will agree with me that Doctores Para Ti isn't amongst those hospitals that have their hands full. They want more clients. You think their "excellent" communication is for nothing? Lol. Babe, abeg forget matter. We know every.@phema, you have forgotten that doctoresparati is not a hospital..... They are more like agents. So yes, they want more clients, even if they cater for medical needs, it's also a business, so hence the "excellent"communication skills which shouldn't be used against them. So of course they want more clients, doesn't mean they are not genuine, only that they have crappy marketers. And don't forget this is a public forum, lots of jobless people come here, get info, may go to their site and learn of the 200$ referral fee. Trust me, it's very possible. MIHS no they give referral fee na, so nobody go won do marketing. |
