Oxalic:It's quite disheartening, bro. Things are spiralling our of control indeed. Pity we do not have the kind of leaders that will back a pro middle belt move at this point. I lost hope in this current crop of leathers the day Lalong vehemently opposed the anti-grazing bill proposed by Plateau youths. The idiot cited that his reason for doing so was because the proposed bill had elements of criminality. Very useless man. Guess we need to change those APC goons, if we must make any progress. They are all scared of their oga at the top. |
Oxalic:It's been a while, bro. I do check in sometimes but not very often. I haven't been using it either o, my brother. Bet life's been good at your own end? |
With this man at the helm of affairs, I reckon the golden age of the Nigerian presidency is about to come. He's everything Nigerians desire in a president. |
gragraboy:God bless your wisdom. |
ANOWEDGREAT:If this were the case, then I can't help but feel even more sorry for him. No government machinery can keep him against the will of the people, regardless of how much they try. The man messed up big time. |
shallysgirl:I hope everything turns out for good. Nigerians, regardless of tribal or ethnic divide have all suffered. Thanks, ma. |
CioAngels:As in, that's well put. The situation is quite embarrassing, tbh. |
fadaonyenna:Bros eh, you know the koko. I learnt he even built a mansion in Taraba. He, just like that useless Dalung, feel the need to identify with muslims more than their fellow indigenes and Christians. While I have no problem with that, I don't like they do it at the expense of their own people. About the Jos north LGC ish, I feel the same way. I have learnt to have no expectations, whatsoever, of Lalong. That's how low he has set the bar. Na to watch am. Shey e go soon comot? E go red for am very soon. |
fadaonyenna:Thanks, bro. You're welcome to call it home, anytime. The Igbos have brought peace and progress to our land. And I would rather have someone make them feel more important than these known killers and rapists. I'm sure our people will realize in due time, that those people up north mean them no good at all. Lalong is a disgrace so much that I cringe at the mention of his name. He's a mistake that might end up costing us so much. As in, looks like the man from Taraba is on a mission to destroy Plateau. Fortunately, Taraba people won't condone his nonsense either. |
TheKingIsHere:See my reply to him below: malton:Wase is an emirate and the biggest LGA in Plateau State, yes, but the rest of what he said is gibberish! I'm from Kanam LGA, which is the other emirate in Plateau State (there are just those two). To help you understand, here's a little intro: The highest number of indigenous Plateau Muslims are concentrated in these two LGAs (My local government is about 50% Muslims, 30% Christians, and 20 percent pagans/traditionalists. Wase should be about 60/40, ignoring pagans). My LGA shares boundaries with Bauchi and Wase. Heart of the matter: During the the colonial times, the Colonialists coopted some parts of the middlebelt into the Bauchi emirate, most of whom later resisted the tag. Those two local governments, however, did not. This was because they had a significant number of indigenous people who were voluntarily converting to Islam. The Jukun people in Wase, then predominantly Muslims, didn't see anything wrong with the tag, while the Bogghom people had got into contact with the Bauchi people, and so felt the need to remain as an emirate. While the emir of Kanam is traditionally a Bogghom person, the emir of Wase was appointed by the Bauchi emirate, and hence, a Bauchi man. They considered the locals not religious enough, as there were still many pagans amongst them at the time. Plus, they had a liberal mindset. More than 2/3rd of Wase was a wasteland at the time, so the Bauchi emirate moved some of their people and settled them there with the help of the colonial masters. That was how Bauchi people got to Wase. Its vast land area and proximity to Wukari, Taraba State, makes Wase a magnet of the nomadic Fulanis. Today, there are many fulanis herding their cattle there. But to suggest that the emir is Fulani or there are indigenous Fulanis in Wase is too much of a stretch. Besides, the emir rules over the imported muslims only, while the other tribes have their own rulers. In spite of its almost 2,000 square km of land, Wase does not have up to 50,000 people. Don't believe the almost 200k figures you see online. Of this population, the imported muslims and nomadic Fulanis won't make up to 30%. It's all politics and religion. Meanwhile, the Bogghom people are already negotiating the sack of the emir and want to replace him with Pangkwal Bogghom. Meaning only Wase will be left as an emirate. However, this useless Lalong isn't cooperating. Funny enough, the people at the forefront of the campaign are Muslims. . Guess the almost equal mix of Christians/Muslims in most families has been helpful in shaping up their psyche. Sorry for the long 'tory; felt I needed to burst his lies with facts. |
African salad (aka abacha) |
monex:Thank you, bros. You got the picture. |
maj007:What's this one saying?! I hope you know that the emir of Wase is originally from Bauchi? Were it not for colonial manipulations, you won't be saying this rubbish! |
fadaonyenna:Bros, this governor is a bastard! I am ashamed to even refer to him as that. Very useless man! He's a mistake of a person. |
nwaanambra1:Bros, I feel no regrets at all. I didn't do or fail to do anything personally. However, I admit that I wish our forefathers never allowed that nonsense to happen in the first place. Who in their right senses would side the actual enemy against a perceived one? They were all made to believe that the Igbo man was the enemy, ironically, by the enemy. It's a shame. At the emboldened, I'd rather that 100 times over. I've always considered the Igbo people on the Plateau family. They contribute to its growth and development. They are nothing like those blood sucker, Lalong brothers. Shey he will soon do and be going. Na to delist dem sharp sharp. Thank God say na just typing. |
Jiang:Is there anywhere in Nigeria where you won't find a fulani settlement? Does that make them indigenous tribes in those states as well? Truth is, Fulani are indigenous to places like Adamawa and Gombe only. Even there, they are immigrants. |
HAH:Okay, here's why: When the white men made to enter Plateau during the pre-colonial times, the locals resisted them. Then came the colonial days, and the beginning of tin mining activities. In an effort to get back at the locals, the oyibo men "imported" workers from Bauchi and provided them lands to build, sidelining the locals. People from different parts of the country began to take notice of this and trooped into Jos in droves. Of these people, the Hausas and Igbos were the majority. The locals were mainly settled in villages at the time. Jos north was the commercial nerve center of the town then. So it attracted the most population of people. Unfortunately, with the mass emigration of Igbos before and during the civil war, the Hausas bought houses from departing Igbos at giveaway prices. They capitalised on that to build the population that you speak of. Also, it is for this same reason that they did everything necessary to get Hausa into the church. When the missionaries came, they wanted to use Ngas, one of the major Plateau indigenous languages, but the colonial masters resisted their attempts, forcing them to adopt Hausa instead. Unfortunately, we have people like Lalong who is too dumb to help reverse all these. Asides Jang, all other Plateau leaders have been too lilly livered to tackle the issues head-on. |
gerald09:You think some idiot listing a renowned terrorist group whose roots you do not even know as one of your own isn't a problem? |
FrancisDiote:Bros, there's not even a single Fulani tribe on the Plateau. Not even in neighbouring states up north let alone Plateau. They are mostly covetous marauders, and nothing more! The governor is just a serving traitor and collaborator who has betrayed his own people for only God knows what! |
aolawale025:One that deserves to be punished, bro. |
bonechamberlain:As in eh. Lalong is the most useless, senseless governor that Plateau State has ever had. The idiot just handed the opposition the one single campaigning point to defeat him with come 2019. I hope he can survive the onslaught that is to come. |
It's obvious that Lalong underwent a rapprochement with the Hausa-Fulani community. And that required him to put the Plateau people down. The man has been nothing but a sellout since he assumed leadership. A good-for-nothing nonentity that is a personification of the 'bad and nocent." First he appointed a Hausa-Fulani as commissioner, and now this. He's been subtly aiding the Fulani attacks on Plateau indigenes with his foot-dragging. I can deal with his corruption, including building a multimillion naira home in Taraba. But this is taking it too far. He'd go down as one of the most infamous betrayers in my dear state. Can't believe my people overlooked the smart, educated, eloquent, and highly dynamic GNS Pwajok for this pestiferous gobshite that doesn't little as inspire hate. I feel sorry for the clueless thing! It's no wonder he's the most reviled "thing" on the plateau today! Seun, Lalasticlala, Mynd44. Abeg morning don do. Jang, we miss you. |
In the midst of petition on banning of open grazing and incessant attacks by Fulani herdsmen across Plateau state, concerned youth across the state have registered their anger and disappointment once again after screenshots of a publication of the latest Plateau State tourism booklet surfaces and is making rounds on social media listing Fulani as a major ethnic group in both Mikang and Qua’an Pan LGAs of the state.Source: https://plateaunewsonline./2017/11/12/youth-protests-as-plsg-list-fulani-as-a-major-ethnic-tribe-in-plateau-state/

With 21 appointments, Ogun took the lead in the list of all the persons President Muhammadu Buhari appointed since he assumed office on May 29, 2015. Guyman02:My man. God bless you for this! Buhari is the kind of man that leaves humanity worse off than he met it. |
QuotaSystem:Think I did see the comment you're alluding to. ![]() |
MegaBEntz:This one that can't little as be creative with his nickname, what more creativity could he possibly have in him?! Could be another noisemaker in the making. ![]() I wish him well, though. |
doctokwus:It doesn't have to be mentioned. I know the man on a personal level. No be dem say. This is about the first appointment in a very long while that I applauded PMB for. |
ChykeBivins:Thank you, bros. You should have seen how I jumped upon seeing this news. This for me, is one of the best appointment Buhari has made since his assumption of office. Man is what you said he is. |
doctokwus:Don't say things you're not sure of. Boss is a Christian. |
