PSG as a team is stronger than barcelona. That is a fact.
The only world class players in barcelona are messi, suarez and busquet.
Now compare to PSG.
Anyway, pray you don't meet them. una go collect.
You are really delusional.

This is not an IPOB issue. Don't get emotional over nothing.

There's still a gulf in class between Barca and PSG.

Which yeye ideology?
When real madrid spend millions signing galaticos every year, is it any wonder they win everything? Even barcelona spend millions blowing everybody out of the water.
If the EPL teams had the same revenue sharing formula like spain, you think spain can compete?
Even right now, manchester united is the richest club in the world, now imagine if they are allowed to negotiate their own TV deal by the FA.
They would buy real madrid and barcelona and use it as their toilet.
The English teams are rich regardless. If you had the same sharing formula, only Man U would have been able to compete financially.

You honestly think any Latino would choose the EPL teams ahead of the La Liga Giants, given the same conditions? Nope. Only players considered not good enough look to England. These guys grow up dreaming of playing for either Barca or Madrid. Not even once will you hear any great player say they have been wanting to play for United or those other riff-raff.

Or you think Man U didn't offer Ronaldo a good enough project when he left for Madrid? He left at a time when Man U were doing better than Madrid in Europe. But not even winning at the finest stage of them all could stop him from achieving his dream.

They just don't compare. Some things are beyond just money.

Liverpool should not sell at any price. Coutinho has a very long contract so the ball is not in his court.
These spanish clubs are used to getting their way using unscrupulous means.
They built their recent European dominance using players from the premier league and weakening the English.
Imagine if Ronaldo, suarez, fabregas, modric, alonso e.t.c, and co had stayed in England.
The likes of Real madrid and Barcelona would be nothing more than a paper tiger.
If what you are proposing were to be the case, those players wouldn't have arrived in England, to begin with.

A terrible team is a terrible team, regardless of the players there. Spanish teams have ideologies that drive their success. How many trophies overall did those players win while playing in the epl?

Speaking of paper weight, more than anyone else, the phrase perfectly captures the EPL teams. Giants on paper, lightweight, toothless bulldogs trophy wise. They have nothing to offer bar the hype.
PoliticsRe: Hypocrisy? Buhari A Major Financier & Backer of W’sahara Secession - IPOB by malton: 7:56am On Aug 23, 2017
IPOB has a point.

Buhari's stance against them is a hypocritical joke! He's engaged in a craven manipulation game. The man doesn't even bother to hide this.

His persistent opposition of IPOB contrasts sharply with his support of Western Sahara.

He should just concentrate on completing these punitive years we have left and get it done with.

Damn. That's regrettable.

I'm sorry about you and your mum's experiences. That's terrible.

Quite on the contrary, my experiences with Igalas, Ebiras, and Okun have been great thus far. I have many of them as friends and was room mates for years in the uni with An Ebira guy whom others considered as impossible. Whether it has something to do with my not being from Kogi, I can't say for sure.

At this point, I can only hope that someday you will have positive encounters that will change your opinion. Bet I understand the point you're driving home better now. But I implore you to be open-minded regardless.

I hope you will not tell me that " middle belt is a region or territory that is predominantly occupied by Christians and detest Islam"

Joker!!!!
I wanted to explain in-depth, but seeing as you already referred to me as a joker, it means that you have made up your mind already and are not willing to listen to dissenting voices.

And no, it's nothing to do with religion. I wonder why it makes you bitter.

Its not the hate self, I don't like that state Kogi, I don't like the ethnic groups we share the state with, we barely tolerate each other.

If I had a choice, I'd change the state ASAP, but I'll just wait for marriage to do that for me.
Kogi is a reflection of Nigeria itself. What you said is the truth. I've lived in and know Kogi well enough to understand your POV. I just hope that someday, we'll realize that the problem is not the marriage itself and that it only seems like a marriage of strange bedfellows because we haven't been allowed the time to know each other better.

A lot of times, we form opinions off of others' perceptions without experiences of our own. We can learn to love if we try. Chances are that you have never had a direct confrontation with an Igala or Ebira person before.

Whether you are the same state or not, someday, somehow, you'd always get in each other's way. It's life. If we must solve every problem by division, not even one family will be left.

It will seem like a joke to you because you do not know the history. Read up on the middlebelt. Middlebelt does not imply north central.

Being classified as a northerner is not bad in itself. It's simple-minded people that make it seem like a taboo. While I prefer to identify as a middlebelter, I don't see my coming from my home state as a curse. We are where we are for a reason. If you don't like the narrative, change the story.

Benue sate is not north simple!!!! now let's look at some indices,
1) the predominant means of communication in the north is hausa
2) but you can never learn how to speak hausa even if you stay for a hundred years in Benue sate
3) most northern states fall under the territorial district conquered by usman danfodio which makes them predominantly islamic states.
4) but Benue state is a predominantly christian practicing state with catholic and NKST as its major worship centers.

OGA!! you can incorporate other states as being north o!!!! but pls leave the UMBC for Benue state if you don't want my trouble today.
Hausa being a lingua franca across most parts of the middlebelt does not make those places Hausa land or qualify them as more north than Benue. By your yardstick, we can as well classify Nigeria as British, on account of us speaking English. Most of those places have too many smaller languages scattered around, which the Hausas used to their advantage. For instance, you can survive in Benue just by speaking Tiv, but you cannot in Nasarawa by speaking Mada.

What qualifies a people as one is their shared beliefs, ethos, and life perspectives. The regions that make up the middlebelt can easily coexist with each other, but they cannot with the Hausa/Fulani. This is mainly due to Islamic fundamentalism, and nothing else.

all those that you mention dress like northerners, they speak Hausa,

so if your division is base on religion, what's the faith of people from Southern Borno, Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe and Bauchi? majority of them are Christians, in fact their Christianity is like that of jos and southern Kaduna people.
All those places you mentioned are a part of the middlebelt.

PoliticsRe: Bye Election: Pdp Floor Apc With Wide Margin by malton:
Before! Were you expecting the APC to win in Gombe?

Dankwambo's performance alone is enough to influence the outcome of the election. The man has espoused an expressed ideology and vision bolstered by a willingness to achieve specific goals.

It's good to see that the electorates rate him so highly.

The PDP should not pin their hopes on this one just yet. The good people of Gombe only voted for the party in solidarity with the governor. This should not be seen as signs of what's to come at the national level.

The success or failure of both the APC and PDP at the general elections will depend on the candidates they present. If the PDP presents an Atiku, Kwankwaso, Fayose, or any sort of person that is not of a kindly and likable disposition, they will fail woefully. Buhari does not inspire hope or excitement at this time, but those guys are cold and bland.

There's still all to do at this moment. Things do not look clear as yet.
Foreign AffairsRe: Donald Trump Bombarded With Insults By Twitter Followers (Pics) by malton:
Trump is a broken record.

He has utterly and completely failed as president. He spends more time talking about how he has done more than any American president than he does attending to the real issues affecting America.

He talks about making America great and bringing businesses home, but ironically, even his own daughter's clothing line is still being produced in China. His diplomatic policies are dictated by interests. Where there are conflicts, expect a stalemate.

Also, he gives the impression of a racist. For a man who is always eager to express his opinion on any subject, I was surprised when he failed to call out the the white nationalists, neo-Nazis and alt-right activists for what they really are. And as you would expect, most of them are his supporters. Instead of making his usual outburst or "fire and fury" remarks, he appeared half-hearted, choosing to refer to them as "repugnant." His refusal to call evil by its name made me realize that the man is bad news. For as long as he remains president, the safety of people of color on US soil cannot be guaranteed.

True, corruption has found its way into the Barcelona board. The greater damage would be manifested the moment injury plagues the team as there would be no decent players to fill in the gap.
Well said, sir.

I'd think Barca has the least transparent board in the whole of Europe right now. And, for a team so badly in need of revamping in midfield, the potential signing of Paulinho leaves so much to be desired. I can hardly see the sense in that. It's no wonder the whole thing is shrouded in secrecy. To think they passed up the chance to sign Asensio in 2015.

Right now, Isco alone has the quality of all Barca midfielders combined. We are signing players Tottenham would rather let go. Says how much the level has dropped and how fast.

Mehn... Can't even shout. Should have seen the dejected figure I cut while watching the game last night.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Barcelona Vs Real Madrid: Super Cup (1 - 3) On 13th August 2017 by malton: 10:25am On Aug 14, 2017
Sanchez01:
You honestly don't understand football and the philosophies of Football clubs, particularly that of the team you support.

Barcelona's philosophy has always been the La Masia while Real's has always been star signings. Simply put, two Spanish clubs with two opposite ideologies.

Barcelona's problem started when they signed Suarez and Neymar. They lost it and forgot about the La Masia, thinking they could always pick another star signing in the market when they feel like it.

Here is the truth, Barcelona was nowhere near Madrid before 2006 and didn't even come close until the ascension of Ronaldinho who played with the likes of Giuly, Eto'o and a host of others. The continuity wasn't difficult as a young Messi was waiting in the wings for Ronaldinho to leave the stage and that he did without hassles.

This period in time was inevitable. The over-dependence on Messi and his ability has always been the problem and truth is, no one saw it coming.

Right now, Barcelona's midfield is a mess, the defence is sheer horror and Messi has dropped to a deeper role in midfield which means the would need to get extraordinary forwards to get the job done.

Zidane capitalised in resuscitating the Castilla with so many stars waiting for Ronaldo to leave. Martin Odegaard and Enzo Zidane are just two of them. Madrid's dominance isn't ending soon but it would be one hell of a long wait for Barcelona to get it right. Messi is aging just as Ronaldo which is a huge problem for the Catalan club.
Barcelona fan here; but that's an honest assessment of the situation on ground. Inept, corrupt, and calamitous do not even begin to describe the current board.

They are far much worse than can be depicted in written words!
And actually, Barcelona is in a much worse situation than the scoreline suggests. Time shall reveal the amount of damage being done.
