If I were to one day become a parent (highly unlikely though) once my child is 18 I will not be bothered about what they do, especially in their personal life. FYI, before the British gave us English language, there was a system already in place, for reading and writing in Northern Nigeria, it was Arabic.

Most people in the North that you call illiterate can read an write in Arabic. Therefore the purpose of the Arabic script on the Naira is for those who are illiterate in English but Literate in Arabic, so that they can understand.
