NOT FOR SALE? HOW CAN I GET ONE?

So, few days ago, I decided to deal with the leaky & bouncy front dampers, which I last refurbished sometime in 2012. I purchased the seal kits for the 2 wheels at N1,000 (about $2.6 USD). Then purchased the oil for the dampers for N1,500 a container (about $4). Was getting ball joint weak symptom on the front right side suspension which I haven't replaced since I got the lion and, so decided to replace that of both wheels which I purchased at N3,000 (about $ 8 USD). The whole parts cost me N5,500 ( about $14.6 USD) and the dampers started to work as new again. The ball joint issue went away with the new ones.

Driving into a business premise this morning, a man walked up to me from his 2012 Japanese brand and asked if I wanted to sell. According to him, he was marvelled at the condition of the body and sound of engine when I drove in.

Drove into a Federal government reserved car park this afternoon and 2 men came down from a 2010 Japanese brand and asked how old the Lion is. When I told them it's 1986 production , they asked "If you are not selling, how can we get ours and maintain them like yours?" I couldn't help but laughed so hard.

In 2010, basically every man I told I was searching for 505 V6 Stick-Shift to buy said I was either stupid and untrendy (or both) to be gunning for such old vehicle in a modern time. Ever since I got the lion, it has been a daily occurrence for men to approach the car to admire or ask if I would sell to them, which my response has and will always be "NO" .

The laughter this afternoon was because of the constant reminder from men why I stand out (stubborn at focusing & going for what I want against all odds). It feels really good.

It cost me so little to get the faulty suspension sorted and suspensions back to perfect working conditions, yet more durable than the expensive modern ones that can't handle the degree of strenuous work the 504/505 suspensions handle effortlessly. I mean, these cars were intentionally designed to keep running, and running and running, with little or low maintenance cost.

I am so in love with this Lion.

Lion King - Monk.

Have you considered detailing it?
It will look much nicer

Still on this lie matter, i hate using wikipedia but it will suffice for now cos it ended up being detailed enough, with numbers which i'm sure weren't all made up too. The tyre size of the edge is 255/50R20, is AWD, and gearing ratio is 4.48:1. So flowing from all the attached, what do the numbers say dear friends??

The tundra's high rpm is cos it was constantly downshifting. Your Ford had a faulty tachometer or you're mistaken on the figure

No
Rice is used for vehicles whose performance do not match their looks after undergoing cosmetic upgrades
This is not even made to look like a performance car, just modern

Long epistle alert grin grin

In Business school, the love isn't enough to be shared! Everything here apart from pure fraud cases is banter (some people will say there's malicious intent somewhere, I don't begrudge them their views), this drives traffic to their hustle, most people believe if you have a business then you must be modest and keep your head above troubled waters always, well it works sometimes but I am fairly certain that this does not work for salesmen - a little issue/controversy here and there generates what greases the palms!

People don't see the free business lectures on here. Ikenna still does consultations and vehicle purchases for clients offline, he makes his money easily. Gazz is still picking, the harsh words don't hurt these men. You can't be an active member on Cartalk for more than a decade and not have thick skin. Both men are very approachable offline, calm and collected! I've been very lucky to meet most of the people on here offline and I know sometimes not to take their e-fights seriously. I for one like and respect Gazz a lot, when I started learning DIYs from my Dad who actually fixes his cars himself, I will sometimes have Gazz on the phone for more than an hour on multiple occasions, he's always willing to help.

I've met Ikenna - he's not as fiery as he is here, he's a good listener and actually wears a smile and doesn't charge the consultation always, unless it involves proprietary information.

Honorable mentions to Nurey and Oluwaseunla - there was a time they did everything they could to help me find an S-Class, very professional and tolerant and till date, they are still helpful. There are a lot of people on nairaland that will help you if you know how to ask! I remember when you offered me steady support offline for my w211 and even the contacts for your Benz people in Port Harcourt. I'm certain Ikenna isn't going anywhere!

Edit: I plan on meeting Radautoworks after the lockdown - roam around and look for deals in that shop. I even forgot to add Kingreign - I remain loyal!

I hail o boss

I think I beat you to the Peugeot dream. Loaned one from my uncle to use for site work. Only thing nice about it is the stiff suspension and a firm steering feedback, even a Yaris/city will definitely give this old timer a run for its money. Car's color and plate number means I can go anywhere without Police or Army harassment - imho, this is the biggest advantage of owning a Pijo in Naija!

Oh, it's a stick! There's nothing great about driving a manual in this age and time, all the purists can wax philosophical about how real men are supposed to only drive sticks. Me, I didn't come to this life to suffer. I'm returning it next week!

My pug is this exact color
I remove my plates and put a cap on the dash whenever I want a hassle free travel, even if you stop me. My papers strong cool

The craze for Mercedes Benz in this part of the world is extremely alarming. I thought I've heard it all not until someone was comparing Benz to BMW and Audi. There are cars and there are cars. BMW and Audi belong to a class of their own, benz doesn't come close.

My brother, as a Benz fan let me advise you. Always resist the urge to shalaye.
