Covert1: Interesting comments I've seen regarding one of the most precise, poignant and insightful documents regarding the future of the Nigerian State that impacts on the discussions we have here and post here whether by way of pictures or comments of Nigeria's Armed Forces, regional and geo-political permutations.
Regardless of sentiments, that the said policy document or indeed from any of the major candidates who could be president shapes our conversations here whether we like his face or not, should be the grund-norm but yet it may be discarded as some insinuate, again for whimsical narrow orgi.es and or parachocial interests the very same issues that plagues us.
Gentlemen and fellow citizens if we can't show unity on this thread and have basic common intellectual conversation without political acrimony on the usual threads then we are not unlike them that has run Nigeria aground. In the spirit of brotherhood I dare us to rise up above sectional sentiments and posit our genuine thoughts for a nation we love and for which men we post their exploits here die for.
That policy document of Peter Obi is one of the finest I've seen in history and a breath of fresh air in a Nigeria where thinkers, scholars and thought process are shuttered for patronage which invariably has made a great nation a sleeping giant. I hear Atiku has one which proposes to raise GDP to 900 billion US Dollars. Imagine what our military would look like in such an economy. It rests on us to be better. It can start here by respectfully disagreeing to agree. This is what makes great nations not cynicism or myopism as some snide remarks here reflect just because the policy document bears an Obi signature. Don't we have a right to interrogate the next Commander-In-Chief?
At least for the first time we know from Peter Obi he'd set up a Ministry of Homeland Security with a Fusion Centre under its control meaning he's identified the gap that hitherto existed between intelligence gathering, collation, analysis, force employment and deployment — on a need to know basis. I find that a total cracker just as his assertive foreign policy initiatives to re-establish regional influence.
We haven't been used to this open mind for 62 years and if we say no then why not we keep a closed mind [I don't mind heck I simply posted for interrogation and engagement on the progenitors of what we do here - why bother about the effect and not the cause - really are we dunces!] but one day shiny weapons won't be able to keep the peace when the lid opens. The document is on Bidexiii's as well, so be it.
During the twilight of the American Civil War during the Presidency of Abe Lincoln [Photo inset] the secessionist Vice-President of the Confederate States of America asked the fine United States Army Commander General Ulysses S. Grant "if we can't discuss as two nations what can we discuss?", General Grant replied "Terms of Surrender". Perhaps that might be us "If we can't talk perhaps we walk." Well said cover1 |

Faithful007: But weren't throwing questions to me? US is my second country btw so expect me to gravitate there. Sorry about that. I accept your sorry sir but I think the US is the worst country in the entire world. I laughed when Joe Biden said that Putin should not use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine because it will change the face of warfare in the world and I said to myself am I dreaming? Is this the same nation that it's military was almost destroyed by Japan and then resorted to use nuclear weapons to wipe out cities just to hide it's shame and feel better killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people in the process? Ohhh I forgot when US does something that is wrong it is good but when others do the same it is evil and should be condemned by the international community Anyways I think there's no kid here so please we should stop supporting those who are still telling Africans we mean nothing in the world, I hope you are aware that the US Senate is about to pass a bill that will allow the US sanction Africa countries with close ties to Russia Don't forget that there is no nation in Africa that is currently being colonized by the US they call us free and independent nation's which gives every nation in the world the right to establish diplomatic relations with any nation in the world but I wonder if that's the case, don't forget that they are not making such laws for any other continent but only Africa So please sir look for a way to replace the US in your life, you can apply for Nigeria citizenship I assure you it is stress-free and you will surely get it |

kikuyu1: Its as obvious as the afternoon sun on a cloudless day! Nobody else in the world is as simultaneously obsessive, hateful, ignorant and narcissistic as these guys. trust me,I know! Living in an underdeveloped country like Kenya what we take as their typical behaviour patterns are actually undiagnosed developmental disorders.

Its very likely the generations of inbreeding-they've been marrying their first cousins since before they were Muslim. At the same time Somali culture is greatly invested in believing they're the -bravest -cleverest -prettiest -strongest in the whole world! Because ofc Allah love them more than everyone else, well, just because.... As such they're habituated to make enemies with not just nearby Habeshas and Kenyans but everyone else within shouting distance of their chicken muscles. They've gotten their narrow dusty arses broken multiple times in battle-imo,only the Pakistanis have been less successful in battle but many are drawn to this fruitless aggression for reasons explained above. Its extremely important for many Somalis to not only feel superior to be SEEN as superior to Kenyans they insist are beneath them. In the colonial era they even offered to pay higher non native poll tax to be classified as Asiatic!?
YES,THESE DEMENTED MOFOS HAPPILY PAID A HIGHER TAX TO THE OYINBO TO BE CLASSIFIED ON A HIGHER RACIAL SCALE-WTF DOES THAT!?
IIRC,I've never met a Somali bantu but I can imagine their biblical suffering. To see real apartheid one need only look at how the Somali bantu population was treated. By the 1990s their numbers reached 1 mn. They were despised on multiple levels-for being Christian, bantu, farmers not pastoralists and ex slaves from Malawi,Mozambique and Tanzania who had been purchased in the 1800s from Zanzibar to work plantations mainly in S Somalia along the Shabelle river. They're known as the jareerwayne, meaning nappy haired people. A million people reduced to a minor racial characteristic says much much more of racist attitudes than a hundred sociological field reports. During the worst of the famines in the early 90s,Western aid workers were shocked speechless when many starving Somalis would reject assistance from black UN and NGO workers! Even at the point of death they remain true to hardline racism.
Recently everyone was shocked when opposition Somali MP Junat Muhamad publicly called Mombasa security chief a monkey! On live TV!!
https://youtu.be/yaMwdolHOMk
At 5.50! He then repeatedly refused to apologise. There was an interesting writeup on that f'ery.
One of the few perspicacious commentators in our media,Gitau Warigi touched on the episode with insights into Somali sociocultural attitudes.

100 MRAPs from UAE the type of this MRAPs is still unknown 300 APCs from unknown sources but little information says the APCs will be coming from proforce While plans are on the way to acquire more super tucano from the US Plans to acquire a frigate for the Navy is already in advance stage And trust me months from now when the new government comes in they will try to out perform the buhari's government in arms procurement, to be able to have the bragging right over the military success in the future. This means more arms procurement |
