Almajiri Voodoo Economics. Proceeds from sales of assets don't revive Economy.
Rather, when you sell assets, you further impoverish the country.

Proceeds from exports of goods and services mostly prop up a country's Economy.
PoliticsRe: Rediscover Imo@40: Rochas Okorocha Road Revolution. You Can't Beat The Reach. by mandax: 11:55am On Oct 04, 2016
Who is this OP stranger to Imo state? Which road revolution? Abi na road revolution in Okorocha's capital city?

Move down to Orlu or to Okigwe and see where once developing cities are literally stopped from development by a state governor through the cities roads scrapped and abandoned for four years going by the governor's contractors.

Okorocha remains holed up in Government House Owerri.

Okorocha has just invited the rest of Imo state to come to live in his beloved city, Owerri and claim the city, perhaps from natives.
Little did he know that beginning 26 May 2019, natives of Owerri shall take him as another stranger living in Owerri and must pay tributes to Owerri people to be allowed to remain in Owerri -,like every stranger must pay tax to remain.
PoliticsRe: Ugwuanyi Approves Contract For Construction Of 2 FG Roads (pics) by mandax: 11:44am On Oct 04, 2016
Oh yes I!!

Buhari with his Fashola 5% in the east must maintain their roads as the 5% refused to vote Buhari/Fashola APC.

In Nigeria, the federal roads in the east are shortest compared to other zones.
But federal government abandons eastern roads to remain worse no matter who is in power.

Buhari and his Fashola's 6% must keep on going.

The 5% people passed through the civil war, so what is Buhari's government hardship meant for the 5%?

But certainly, if in the last fifty years of oil boom the 75% has not used oil money to train their population to be far ahead of easterners, and develop their areas to be like New York city or London all the years they are in power, when are they going to do that? Never.
PoliticsRe: PORT HARCOURT: Who Changed The Names From Umu To Rumu And Why by mandax: 2:58am On Oct 03, 2016
This Ikwerre no be Igbo debate is usually propped up by people ignorant of the fact that the south south divided from the southeast means the south south ever remaining the bread winner for Nigeria but denied its due in Nigeria.
It means the youths in the south south ever engaging in militancy through which Nigeria army comes to decimate the population in the south south.

Ignorance is a bliss for some people.

But methinks, there are many south south people bribed these days by the oppressors of their peoples to prop up divisive topics like this.

NIGERIA WITHOUT THE IGBO SHALL BE A COUNTRY PILOTED BY ISLAMIC MULLAHS FROM THE SW AND NORTHERN NIGERIA0, AND MOSTLY PROBABLY GOVERNED THROUGH ISLAMIC SHARIA CRIMINAL LAWS.

Left to many Igbos, Yours truly included, these Ikwerres and some other groups in the south south who denigrate the Igbos over Biafra should be excluded from Biafra agitation.

If and when the Igbos achieve Biafra - of course, Nigeria cannot survive for too long - let these no to Biafra Ikwerres and others join their darling Arewa and SW people to form Nigeria.

Of course, it MUST be a Nigeria without Igbos, and thus must be fully piloted by Islamic Mullahs from the south west and Arewa.

The first thing Arewa and SW shall do is remove the 13% from derivation. Arewa has been kicking against 13% derivation, because, according to Arewa, 13% makes some states in Nigeria richer than others.

To build Imo state's third and outstanding regional water supply scheme for Orlu zone, complete the urban drainage work, as well as establish a full public university in Orlu zone are what motivated people in the zone to support and vote Okorocha in mass.

These three projects should have benefited Okorocha's Ogboko immensely. But he went for his private business as governor.

https://www.nairaland.com/1226162/okorochas-house-demolished-orlu-road
After demolishing the only property he had in Orlu, Okorocha has no other single thing in Orlu, no connection to the town, except the road from Owerri to Ogboko that passes through Orlu which he is building mainly to connect his private university in Ogboko.

I didn't show any drainage in Ogboko. I only wrote that these pictures are from Ogboko in Orlu or are you saying Ogboko is not Orlu.
The on going drainage project you showed is not in Orlu.

Ogboko is not in Orlu, but in Ideato South lga. At least, Okorocha as governor has demonstrated that in his actions.

Alas, the urban drainage system that wrecks havoc in Orlu which Okorocha refused to complete shall also take the floods down the hills to Ogboko, and also destroy whatever he is building there. He doesn't seem to understand that.

After demolishing in Orlu, what did Okorocha build for replacement?

To expand Orlu town, Udenwa had to build Okporo Housing Estate and other projects outside the main town.

Abagworo, please stop being deceptive by showing pictures of one place and calling it another place.

What people in Orlu plead is Okorocha to complete the roads his contractors excavated and abandoned all over the place in Orlu and which have blocked movement in the last five years and replace the stadium he destroyed for no good reason; nothing more. He can't provide drinking water, nor modernize the many urban roads in Orlu fully built left and right with houses.

The money Okorocha govt has been using in knocking down and rebuilding in Owerri could have been enough to complete the Orlu Urban drainage, as well as asphalt the abandoned roads in Orlu and Okigwe; but for Rochas politics of bad belle.....
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by mandax: 8:01am On Jul 20, 2016

Ogboko in Ideato South LGA Orlu Imo State. Rochas is on fire as far as construction is concerned now. No State is embarking on the level of projects he is executing quietly.
Ogboko in Ideato South LGA Orlu. There is no description like that for Ogboko attaching Orlu.

The Okorocha drainage project in Ogboko which you showed above has no business with Orlu. Your new mode: copy photos from other places and label them Orlu.

Flood still wrecks havoc in Orlu owing to Rochas Okorocha's blatant refusal to complete the Orlu Urban drainage gutter started by former gov. Ikwechegh from far away Bende. Lots and lots of the peasants in Orlu are from the Ideato Lgas.

See the hole Rochas Okorocha who "loves Orlu" dug at the centre of Orlu to collect floods, instead of channeling the floods to the valley by completing the gutter started by Ikwechegh.

Even Rochas Okorocha demonstrates that only connection between Ogboko and Orlu is the Orlu-Akokwa federal road. The road was abandoned for decades until Udenwa govt got the federal govt to rebuild it. A huge hill separates Ogboko and Orlu.

Because Nigeria is not a united country was why a person like Buhari got elected to become president.

Buhari's initial STUBBORN pegging of Naira value to the dollar killed the economy.

Binari's refusal of political reforms in Nigeria is fast widening the the divide between the SouthEast/Southsouth and rest of Nigeria.

Udenwa built no single road in Orlu. NDDC built some interior narrow roads which we all know the quality of NDDC roads. All the roads Okorocha built in Orlu are wide and solid with streetlights, roundabouts and wide open drainages. Udenwa buillt a market and it's commendable but he did not do up to 1/100th of what Okorocha has done so far and is still doing as we write. I respect Okorocha for doing wonders with very little funds available to him and sacrificing his entire security votes to run free education in Imo State and still maintain low crime rate. Posterity remains the best judge.
.

Good that you cannot deny that you showed Udenwa govt development infrastructure in Orlu as on going project of Gov Okorocha..

You have made lots of promotion for the few urban roads - about 4km in all - in Orlu broadened by Okorocha government. What else has Okorocha government got to show in Orlu?

1.Report the incident to the Nigerian police to generate police record and put the Nigerian police on Notice.

2. Saraki obviously can not do anything to the wife beater and rapist until he receives a formal complaint from Mrs Tinubu.

3. The APC sure won't sit and look the other way while some nuisance tarnish their image, insult and denigrate the wife of their leader, insult their leader, issue criminal threat against a woman and fellow party member and get away with it. Again, the first step before doing anything is a formal complaint by Mrs Tinubu.

The strategy going on here is to first lay the foundation and make the case to justify the almost impending action by the Senate and the APC.

Once again let me remind you that Only fools live in the past or carry envy to the present.Accept the reality and live on
What we have in Imo state under Rochas Okorocha is government under-development of every other town in Imo state, but development only in the state capital, Owerri.

Even Okorocha's deputy, told Vanguard a few months ago that Rochas Okorocha concentrated 75% of his development projects in four years in Owerri. But observers say it is up to 95%.
Research a bit, this is on record.

Okorocha's bad belle against Orlu must have pushed him into restricting all his landmark building edifices to Owerri.
Now that bad belle is rubbing away Okorocha's once promising political career, as Owerri revolts against Okorocha.

Northern Nigeria politicians will always dictate who is to be what in Nigeria, all things considered equal.

Pity southern Nigerians, most of whom are so apolitical that they failed to understand that the 36 states and Abuja political structure with an undue large number of states and hundreds of local government areas proliferated in the once one northern region makes the south of Nigeria look like mere attaches to the north of Nigeria to form Nigeria.
Land mass is never used in any federal country to create new federal units from the existing federal units.
But some southern Nigerians will even say considering that some northern states are larger in area than SW or SE zones, more states needed to be created in northern Nigeria. Crass ignorance...

WIth its large number of states it created for itself, northern Nigeria determines who shall be president of Nigeria.

And all these beautiful developments in Warri which is not even the capital of Delta state.

Imo state governor Okorocha who reduced himself to become governor of the state capital, Owerri, needs to see how states develop their many cities at the same time.
Gov Okorocha doesn't seem to understand that a state was not created to have nearly all development infrastructures in the state only in the capital city.

In five years, Okorocha has built every landmark infrastructure of his administration only in the state capital, Owerri. He abandoned the rest of the state after attempts to build roads in them, most of the roads remain uncompleted after four years.

Owerri city is being completely rebuilt and you are asking where the economic boom will come from. Imagine if Obiano demolished illegal structures and expands all the roads in Onitsha. The rruth is that presently Imo State is the biggest construction site in Nigeria both with invasion of private estate developers like myself and the ongoing expansion of all the major roads in the city.
Madness. To beautify Owerri, you go to virgin areas of the town, build new roads, lay down pipe borne water, gas and possibly electricity vpipes. Private builders now rush for building in the new area. Government makes money from the private builders. This done, Old Owerri becomes automatically depopulated and beautiful to live in.

Since Okorocha has sworn that he knows no other place in Imo for urbanization except Owerri.

But Rochas Okorocha mills round and round in the Owerri built many years ago, knocks down old relics and traditional land marks of Owerri, and says he is beautifying Owerri. Tufiakwa.
