The Niger-Delta gets 18% or more of the oil revenue, and that translates into billions of Dollars yearly (past and present). What does the Niger-Delta have to show for all those earnings? Where did all the money go to? No development, no proper infrastruture , education lower than ever, illegal refineries , workers paid late e.t.c.

Would 100% resource control make any difference? Well I guess we all know the answer to that.
You are not addressing birds of the air, are you? Whatever the 13% given to Nigerdelta is recovered through the myriad states and local government areas unduly proliferated all over northern Nigeria.

Commendable.

$18.5BN? That's a lot of money oh.
Problem with Abuja is the inherent lack of private businesses that help run a city's development. Coupled with the fear of bomb blasts here and there, living in Abuja will be like living in a posh prison.

Give me Lagos anytime. Could please do same for Lagos or PH?

Thanks.
Lol!!
One of the most fearful capital cities in Africa to live in.

You ask, how many people struggle to buy land again in Abuja since Boko started?
PoliticsRe: Troop Foils Boko Haram Attack On Military And Civilians (photos) by mandax: 9:17am On May 01, 2016
Boko Haram can't stop until leaders of 12 northern Nigeria states renounce the adoption of sharia criminal laws.

Boko Haram says it is fighting for a country governed with sharia criminal laws.

Nigeria is getting financially crippled by Boko Haram.

The greatest mistake of this herdsmen is to attack igboland. They didn't expect this level of coordinated media attack on their Region, people and way of life ,that is even attracting unprecedented level of local and international attention.
They probably thought it was another agatu, Ondo or mile 12.
Media attacks do not move Islamists. The objective of the attack is to export Islam to the east at the long run. The attack was to cow the easterners to submission at the appropriate time when the real Jihad starts. Boko Haram and Fulani whatever - both have the same objective: Islamization/Arabization of all of Nigeria.

So the media war against Fulani whatever and Boko Haram is like media war against ISIS, or media war against the Taliban, media war fuels them the more.

Like Senator Ali Ndume rose and spoke in the senate after listening to eastern senators, including Ben Bruce in their speeches, Ndume said all he heard was lamentations from the eastern senators, no concrete action plan.

Fulani loves one Nigeria through which Fulani govts of Nigeria channel Oyel money to Fulanis in Nigeria, Niger Republic and Chad.

Only thing that can move Fulani to stop is serious talk of dissolution of One Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: ENUGU MASSACRE: Northern Govs Under Fire… For Defending Fulani by mandax: 8:57am On May 01, 2016
Was the Enugu massacre not state-sponsored?

It came a few weeks after DSS invented the story that five Fulani people were found buried in mass grave in Abia state.

Fulani has a promise that every Fulani killed must be revenged many times.

A day before the crime, Enugu state govt assembled heads of police, army and other organisations in the state and told them that information was gathered about Fulani planning an attack against that Nimbo area.

But the security agencies must have been decommissioned that night with orders from higher above when the Fulani criminals struck.

After the crime, northern govs said Fulani must not be insulted.

Senator Ndume after listening to Eastern senators said all he heard was lamentations, no concrete action.

Methinks, only the word "secession" rings bell on the ears of the Fulani who love one Nigeria like a girl loves gifts.

this Your Hate Comment Won't Take You To Anywhere.
Your Abooooki fathers introduced hate, ethnic and religious bigotry into Nigeria.

How do you explain your Aboooki fathers creating too many states and political constituencies in the north through which most of OYEL and VAT money from the south are funneled to the north? .
And using Abuja as federal capital, more and more of the oil revenues go to be spent on Abuja which is also north.

How do you explain your Abooookis now using their undue large number of political representation in the National Assembly to hold strongly to an increasingly over-centralized unitary government system that enables you take most of the oil wealth from the Niger delta and spend it on the north and Abuja?

Apart from the FIRS building and the Legislative Institute building, the rest are financed privately. No FG money is being used to develop the $18.5bn Centenary city or the Asokoro Island.
You lie, even to your teeth.

Most of Nigeria have no common pipe borne water to drink, not to talk about electricity;
but a supposed human being is sitting down in Abuja with the thought of using $1 billion OYEL and VAT money to build these vain-glory things in Abuja anytime soon?

Must this unitary government system be used by northern Nigeria to kill all Nigerians, before Nigerians kill unitary government system?

Niger delta governors are not the most corrupt set of governors.
If you use N10 million to build 1km of road in the north, you need N50 million to build similar road in the wet terrain of the Niger delta areas.

Stop tying a rope to a dog's neck to drown the dog.

Nigeria can't continue for long to be using unitary government system to exploit Nigerians in building these vain-glory twin towers and others in Abuja while most of Nigeria remain very rural with mostly poor population.

That's typical Fulani idea of development - a few are rich, while majority are impoverished.

Fiscal federalism. Get crude oil from the Niger delta, spend the money in northern Nigeria.
Niger delta remains rural and polluted.

This is real defeat from war and later colonization.

All things been equal, Niger delta area should have been competing with Dubai in development today.

PRI ruled Mexico for about 70 years until about 2002 or so, the opposition party defeated PRI.

Mexicans experienced excruciating pains under the new ruling party.

So the party hardly lasted for four years before Mexicans returned PRI back to power.

What southerners don't know is that there is a deliberate plot by this murderers to infiltrate the south. There are enough land in the North to feed their cows but they delibrately want to come down South.

Have you ever seen them sacking communities up North, burning mosques and kidnapping their own? Watch their victims and you'll see that it is all a calculated plan to subdue the south and MB where Christianity is prevalent

We can keep politicizing it, use it to score cheap propaganda for a 'fools' joke between Southern communities (which am already seeing on NL already) or fold our arms to keep watching..... I hope we won't keep watching until it becomes too late to act.
The only language in Nigeria that makes Fulani afraid is talk of dividing Nigeria. No other language. So southern people must understand that.

Twittering has no lethal weapon attached. So one can twit from today till the end of the world, Fulani, including their leader, Buhari, is not modern enough to listen to twits.

Repeat, the only fear of Fulani about Nigeria is the possibility of Nigeria breaking up.

I blame the state Governor who has refused to empower and arm boys with guns and trucks in the guise of vigilante group to check mate this evil Fulani's perpetrate against our people

Some time I feel like suspecting if the hands of our leaders in the East is in this activities of Fulani herdsmen just to score cheap political sympathy and discredit the Government at the centre, but on the other hand as someone who grew up among fulanis, I remember they behave like animals.......this kind of killings is not new
The state governor you blame, he may be impeached if he empowers Enugu people to fight back against Fulani.

Nigeria's political structure guarantees Fulani the political majority to impose any governor in the south east.

ONLY A FOOLISH PERSON FROM THE SOUTH OF NIGERIA CAN FROWN AT TALK ABOUT DIVIDING NIGERIA.

SUCH TALK IS THE ONLY FACTOR THAT CAN RESTRAIN FULANI INVADERS OF SOUTH OF NIGERIA.

PoliticsRe: Catholic Church And Houses Burnt In Enugu As Fulani Herdsmen Invade Communities by mandax: 2:59pm On Apr 25, 2016
TALK ABOUT DIVIDING NIGERIA IS THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES FULANI AFRAID.

Fulani eats from, and depends upon south of Nigeria. Agric in the north was developed by Oyel money from the south.

Fulani wants one Nigeria which it can use government policies to completely Islamize.

So only thing that can restrain Fulani from violence and Islamization of Nigeria is talk about dividing Nigeria.
