helinues: They can never get tired of fabricating things in their head while still jubilating about it.
FYI, president Tinubu is gaining more supporters daily as people are being enlightened about the efforts of this government while the opposition aspirants are not interested in telling us what they are going to do differently.
It's now 32 governors ready for the reelection of president Tinubu
A particular presidential candidate self is yet to know which logo his party will be using for the 2027 election. That's to show how unserious they are 32 governors that self interest drove to APC? A Tinubu government devoid of corruption and wasteful spending would have been tolerated by Nigerians and i have no doubt that despite the hardship Nigerians would have endured if the government wasn't so wasteful in their spending. As it stands 2027 is not a given for APC. "Small Davido defeated 17 governors that came to Osun state allegedly with 110 billion Naira election funding. |

Meanwhile, the type of rigging APC will rig to bring Tinubu back come 2027, would be mind blowing. Osun state election has shown NIGERIANS that any type of RIGGING can be resisted BY THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA. NIGERIANS SHINE YOUR EYE, As for the opposition there is still time to fine tune your strategy. |

givedemwotowoto: Everywhere Don Blur since Adeleke won. But the new face saving propaganda is that Tinubu secretly supported Gov. Adeleke. Bla bla bla.
Yes. Adeleke endorsed Tinubu, but he (Adeleke) fought for his victory with tears, sweat and blood, and Tinubu will have to do same in Osun 2027.
Adeleke is simply being magnanimous in victory. He doesn’t want to humiliate or taunt a President he just defeated, so that nobody will blame him for Tinubu’s loss in 2027. We get the message.
Even the winner of the 2027 presidential election (hopefully Peter Obi) will visit Tinubu, thank him, and get a tour of Aso Rock. 😂
Big Lesson To Learn: Tinubu is beatable. They thrive on propaganda, making you feel the election is won and no need coming out to vote.
Match them energy to energy. Mobilize and stand your ground, defend your votes. Follow the process all the way to the LG collation centers and scrutinize every result.
Osun people showed the perfect template. Didn’t we see threats and boasts from APC everywhere? What happened when Osun people stood their ground? They were outnumbered.
That’s what it takes to fight for democracy, else it will be destroyed right before your eyes. @ BOLDED, NIGERIANS SHEBI UNA DEY TAKE NOTES AGIANST 2027? The ball in the court of ordinary NIGERIANS. SHINE YA EYE!! |

buygala: These are both young and fit members of the Adeleke family, from which the incumbent Governor hails.
Davido in particular has prior to today's election, been very (sometimes very irritably) vocal about his support of his uncle Jackson Adeleke, even to the extent of insulting even a sitting Governor..
Now, online reports allege that Davido is in London for a show which was slated for Friday night (yesterday), meaning he is allegedly conveniently out of the country when he should step up and walk the talk....
So much shouting, but conveniently safe abroad when it matters most, so that his slaves he left in Osun will fight and die protecting his uncle's votes
If a Politician's family aren't willing to be around to vote for and defend their relative's votes, please don't allow yourself to become a statistic or casualty of attempted election rigging...Let Davido and his relatives come and protect Jackson's votes...After all, they benefited most from his Government.
If Jackson Adeleke did well for the people, he should win the election fair and square...If he hasn't, then he will be voted out Insha Allah.
As can be seen from various threads in frontpage this morning, the Federal Government is out for any baga who tries to rig or avail himself to be used for rigging...
Cast your vote and go home to your family...Don't go risk taking a bullet that isn't meant for you.
Let the Governor's kids and relatives come out and defend his votes, with or without their blood...
Let them lead from the front so that the rest of us can hide behind them when the FG's starts sharing its souvenir for election riggers and disrupters Na dis one una dey talk? Shebi na dis children dey suffer from bad governance wey dem go come fight for una? Abeg make una get sense. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria's Problem Is Not Tax Revenue. It Is Political Waste. by Mandem05: 11:14am On Aug 10 |
Princedapace: When the Nigerian government tells you it lacks money, it is a big lie.
Nigeria's problem is not a lack of money. Nigeria's problem is waste, corruption, and terrible priorities.
The Kano mass wedding financed by the Kano State Government is a perfect example.
One of the biggest problems we have in Nigeria is that we like to think we are smart. The truth is that many Nigerians do not ask the right questions.
Tell me why a country that claims to be poor, a country drowning in debt, would commit ₦1.5 billion to finance weddings.
This is the kind of thing countries do after they have solved most of their major problems.
Nigeria has not solved any major problem since independence.
Electricity is still a problem.
Water is still a problem.
Healthcare is still a problem.
Insecurity is everywhere.
Roads are terrible.
Public schools are collapsing.
Youth unemployment remains extremely high.
Yet we have money for mass weddings.
According to reports:
> "The Kano State Government financed the mass wedding initiative, committing over ₦1.5 billion ($1 million) under the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. The program was coordinated and implemented through the Kano State Hisbah Board."
Source: https://dailytrust.com/why-kano-govt-spent-n1-5bn-on-mass-wedding-gov-yusuf/
How can a country facing these realities commit over $1 million to this type of project?
And some of the beneficiaries are reportedly marrying second and third wives.
So wait.
I will hustle online.
I will stay awake at night looking for clients.
I will submit proposals.
I will fight to win contracts.
I will deliver services.
I will build a life from scratch.
Then after I finally earn some money, government starts taking a share of it from every direction.
VAT.
Bank charges.
Stamp duties.
Various levies.
Income tax.
More VAT on goods and services purchased with my already-taxed income.
Then government shares this money among states, and a state government decides to spend part of it sponsoring weddings instead of investing in things that improve productivity, education, healthcare, infrastructure, or economic opportunity.
And we are expected to applaud.
We are not serious in this country.
Now let us talk about the long-term consequences.
Most of these marriages will produce children.
Many of those children will grow up in households already struggling financially.
Marriage is expensive.
Raising children is expensive.
Building a stable family requires planning, responsibility, and long-term preparation.
It should not be treated as a state-sponsored project.
Years later, government will budget billions more to fight insecurity, unemployment, social instability, and crime.
Where will that money come from?
From taxpayers.
From natural resources.
From borrowing.
The cycle continues.
This is a country where quality healthcare is unavailable to most citizens.
This is a country where reliable electricity often requires spending millions on solar systems.
This is a country where public primary and secondary schools are in a state of collapse.
Yet government keeps finding money for questionable priorities.
I recently checked how much VAT alone has been taken directly from my earnings over the years, and I was shocked.
Stop this madness.
The other day, government budgeted over ₦15 billion for 39 SUVs.
These people waste money.
Then they borrow money.
Then they tell citizens they need to pay more tax because government revenue is low.
Nigeria does not have a revenue problem.
Nigeria has a spending problem.
If I tell you I am broke and then go and buy a ₦100 million car, wouldn't you think something is wrong with me?
That is exactly what Nigeria is doing.
We claim to be poor, yet we fund luxury.
We claim to be struggling, yet we refuse to cut waste.
We claim to lack money, yet we spend recklessly.
Now let me address something many people are afraid to discuss.
A growing number of Southerners believe the current structure of Nigeria is fundamentally unfair.
Southern Nigeria contributes significantly through oil and gas resources, taxes, ports, commerce, and diaspora remittances.
Yet many Southerners look at how public money is spent across the country and ask a simple question:
What exactly are we getting in return?
The issue is not North versus South.
The issue is accountability.
The issue is priorities.
The issue is whether public money is being invested in the future or spent on politics.
At a time when the world is investing heavily in technology, artificial intelligence, manufacturing, robotics, scientific research, and industrial development, some Nigerian leaders are spending billions on mass weddings.
Think about that.
Countries are competing to build the future.
We are sponsoring weddings.
Countries are building technology ecosystems.
We are buying luxury SUVs.
Countries are producing globally competitive industries.
We are expanding government spending without demanding results.
Many Southerners have reached the conclusion that the current revenue-sharing model encourages dependency rather than productivity.
I increasingly believe Nigeria needs a serious conversation about fiscal federalism.
States should be encouraged to generate more of their own revenue.
States should compete economically.
States should develop their own industries.
States should become more responsible for their own development.
A state that depends primarily on monthly allocations from Abuja has less incentive to build a productive economy than a state that must generate its own wealth.
Today, some states appear content to wait for federal allocations every month while making little effort to build globally competitive industries.
That model is not sustainable.
The future belongs to innovation.
The future belongs to technology.
The future belongs to productivity.
The future belongs to regions that create value, not regions that merely consume it.
Nigeria is blessed with natural resources.
Nigeria has abundant land.
Nigeria has enormous water resources.
Nigeria has tourism potential.
Nigeria has agricultural potential.
Nigeria has one of the largest populations in Africa.
Yet we continue making decisions that suggest we are not serious about development.
Enough is enough.
We need a government that focuses on productivity rather than politics.
We need investment in STEM education.
We need investment in infrastructure.
We need investment in healthcare.
We need investment in research and innovation.
We need leaders who understand that public money is not personal money.
And we need citizens who are willing to demand better.
Because if we continue down this path, future generations will pay the price for today's waste, corruption, and lack of vision.
I am tired and hay, I honestly dislike Nigeria. I really wish Southern Nigerians can see beyond their constant fight and understand that they are trading the future of their generation for a region that does not care about future. Southerners dont know how much they are paying for Nigeria. Everything you have said is true. What you didn't include is that THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA are also part of the problem, we are too selfish so as long as the government of the day is benefiting a citizen there will be no outcry from that citizen, Case in point was a Delta APC chieftain that supported APC very vocally in 2023, by 2025 his tone changed as he wasn't included in the government. Sadly he passed on shortly after his interview criticizing the government aired |

ADC is eating Adeleke votes because Adeleke won Ejigbo, Egbedore and ilesa in 2022 but they are now going to ADC. Talking of zoning, it is the turn of Osun east, Ife precisely.
