Demand for Kanu's release insulting to memory of those killed in needless blood-letting, Presidency tells Southeast Monarchs, Archbishops. *Says Nigerians are waiting for justice to be done The Presidency on Sunday reacted angrily to the demand by South East Traditional Rulers and representatives of Igbo Archbishops for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The full statement reads: “The statement by the South East Traditional Rulers and representatives of Igbo Archbishop, demanding the release of a Lunatic, is as annoying as it’s insulting to the memory of those who have lost their lives in a needless blood-letting in the South East of Nigeria. These are political neonates who are also, ignorant of the laws of our land. Where is their sense of decency? Where is their shame? Where is the truth that Christianity preaches? When will TRUTH be released from jail? Some years back, I wrote a piece where I implored Igbo leadership to “ALLOW” their younger generation to properly participate in the politics of our nation. They thought every issue in Nigeria, was Yoruba versus North, a post Nigeria Civil war grudge they have passed on to their younger ones who in turn have narrowed it to, and are helping to expand it as a morbid hatred of the man, Muhammadu Buhari. Their common saying was, “Let them kill themselves as long as the markets are open”. Well, we are now at a stage where markets are no longer permitted to open in Igboland. Who is losing? President Buhari? No, Ndigbo! Today, they are essentially followers and not participating in mainstream politics of our nation, many of their leaders, up for sale. Power is not gifted. It’s a matter of sowing and reaping. It’s about building bridges, Collaborating, Cooperating, Friendship and Mutual Respect. Yesterday, their political party of choice, was on centre stage at the Eagle Square. Ndigbo leaders, Women and Youth were conspicuously “Missing”. Their political traders were on the sideline, grumbling and depressed with VICTIM SYNDROME, yet again. They complained that the venue was littered by posters of those from the North of Nigeria. So I ask, “Are all the printers in the South East out of printing materials?” So, they couldn’t find their way to UAC, the printing hub in Abuja, where they are all hiding from the monster they created in their region! They have a political party, Made in the South East, the home of Ndigbo of Nigeria by the late Ikemba, Emeka Odimegwu Ojukwu. But we can see how hard they are working to destroy it, selling off for cash, to the highest bidder. President Muhammadu Buhari’s government has done more in terms of infrastructural development for Ndigbo, than any other government in recent times. But it’s not enough for them to align with his party. They are not PDP. They are not APC. They are not APGA. Who did this to Ndigbo? What do they want? Who contracted Kanu to destroy Igboland? Who are those benefitting from the chaos in Igboland? This is the time when stupidity will no longer help. At a market place, these monsters did not spare a thought for their own people who came to make a living, before engaging the might of the Federal Government in a gun battle. In a market! These people now wake up in the morning, go to a shop. Buy some biscuits and fuel. Make a recording of themselves, bragging. Foolishly attack a combined team of the Nigerian Armed Forces who wastes no time in responding with a superior fire power. All dead. Who brainwashed these Ndigbo to commit suicide? Daily! In 2021, if you have a megalomaniac for a son, you should call him to order and hide your face in shame. If he is arrested for a capital offence, your role is to shamefully zip your mouth, and blame yourself for failing him by not calling him to order when his madness kicked in. Many Well-meaning Ndigbo are of the opinion, that their leadership, failed them by encouraging one of them who was clearly an unwell man. They did not speak up when they should. They are still hiding their heads in the sand. I agree. Totally! To call for his release, is to spit on the graves of Dr. Chike Akunyili, Dr. Lawrence Ezenwa, Dr. Ahmed Gulak, slain traditional rulers, students, virgins, and ordinary Nigerians of Igbo stock who lost their lives on the instructions of this lunatic, not forgetting the security operatives they murdered. Nigerians are waiting, anxiously for justice to be done. Under President Muhammadu Buhari, a due process advocate, the monster will get a fair trial, a chance he didn’t accord those he ordered their executions. The families of the slain, are waiting for a fair and just closure to their nightmares. Those calling for the release of a man charged with treasonable felony, are deceiving Ndigbo and must stop insulting our laws and Nigerians. They are doing so for selfish reasons, which is to enable them return to the South East to homes they abandoned for Abuja and elsewhere. The truth is in jail in the South East of Nigeria. They know they failed their people and Nigeriansin general. They should now bow their heads in shame. We salute the courage of Governor of Imo State, Onwa Hope Uzodinma, Big brother Joe Igbokwe, Igbo National Assembly Caucus and all Igbo men and women of courage, who spoke up and continue to stand against the evil of Kenny Okwu Kanu’s IPOB, ESN and Evil Guard. The laws of our land, will take it’s course. God bless Nigeria. The Muhammadu Buhari-led government declared that the demand for Kanu's release is insulting to the memory of those who have lost their lives in a needless blood-letting in the South East region of Nigeria. THE Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), on Friday, described as lopsided the distribution of the 21 federal roads the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has volunteered to reconstruct in favour of the North, saying the development is unfair, unjust and wicked. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) had on Wednesday announced the approval of NNPC’s request to fix 21 federal roads at N621 billion with the South getting a total of 228.22 kilometres while the North got a total 2,037.05 kilometres. Reacting to the distribution of the roads in which the South-South got the lowest of 52.2 kilometres, PANDEF’s National Publicity Secretary, Ken Robinson, in an interview with Saturday Tribune, said the development was an established pattern of the Muhammadu Buhari presidency since inception. “It is not only unfair and unjust but wicked. This further demonstrates the astonishing level of discriminative bias the Buhari administration bears against the Niger Delta region in projects and programmes distribution and implementation, as well as in appointments and conduct of the government generally. “There is no responsible government anywhere in the world that would come up with that sort of pesky, lopsided distribution as done by the government in the 21 road projects approved by the Federal Executive Council for NNPC to fix. “From available information, in terms of kilometres (length of the roads), the South-South has the least with only 52.2 kilometres. “The North Central has 1,479.9 kilometres; North West has 283.5; North East has 273.35; South-East has 122 kilometres and South West has 119 kilometres,” he noted. The South-South apex socio-cultural organisation wondered what criteria and reasons could be adduced for the lopsided distribution. “What is or are the reasons for such an absurd distribution? What was the yardstick? “Unfortunately, this is an established pattern under the Buhari presidency,” the PANDEF’s spokesman averred. He recalled that “when the $311 million Abacha loot was returned from the United States in 2020, the South-South was excluded in projects designated for the fund, which included the second Niger Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan and Abuja-Kaduna-Kano expressways, as well as the Mambilla Power Project in NorthEast zone; no project in the South-South zone was listed. That scenario was repeated in the Ibori loot. “This kind of situation further bolsters the Niger Delta people’s demand for not only adequate participation in the management, administration and dispensation of the resources nature has richly endowed our lands, but also for the restructuring of the country. “Will this gross injustice against the people who bear the brunt of the oil exploration and exploitation activities in their land be allowed to continue? “Will the Niger Delta people continue to condone this unfairness against them by the Nigerian state? Time will tell!” https://tribuneonlineng.com/pandef-fumes-over-nnpcs-21-road-projects/ |
Except: I asked the Fulani in those states that banned open grazing how they are faring; they said, they only hear it in the radio and that they don’t know about it. So, the anti-grazing law is just a media thing; it can never be implemented. It can only operate on the television, radio and in newspapers. It does not concern us and I have asked my people in those states never to obey it, and to continue with their activities. No Fulani man will obey the law. If you are a governor and you want them to obey it, give them grazing reserve area. You can’t just wake up and tell the Fulani to leave your state or stop grazing their cows in your state. As a governor, you need food to eat, so also the cows need food to be alive. Or you want the cows to die? We want places provided for us to rear our cows. We are not lawless; we respect law and obey order. It is the Nigeria constitution we obey, and not the anti-open grazing laws by states. We respect and support the governors; we are not anybody’s enemy. The only problem is the law, which is satanic. Frederick Fasheun-led faction of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) has appealed to the Federal Government to discontinue the trial of and persecution of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly calked Igboho, saying their right to self-determination was guaranteed by international conventions that Nigeria was privy to. President of the group, Otunba Wasiu Afolabi, made this appeal on Tuesday in Lagos shortly after his induction as its national president, saying failure on the part of the Federal Government to restructure the country was what was fuelling agitation for self-determination. Otunba Afolabi, while urging the Federal Government to start building a United nation through justice and equity to all the segments and nationalities, noted that the calls to break up Nigeria would not stop until all the nationality groups had a sense of belonging. This country’s independence was based on true federalism. Nigeria must return to that original master plan. OPC supports restructuring,” he said. Speaking at the occasion, wife of the Founder of the group, Deaconess Iyabode Fasehun, and leader of the Afenifere Renewal Group, Hon. Wale Oshun, called on OPC members to be upright and committed to the ideals of the late leader, which they said was to promote peace, unity and justice in the country. Oshun, who chaired the occasion held in Okota area of the state, said Fasehun left behind a worthy legacy, pointing out that there was the need to remind people of the objectives of the founder, the late Fasehun. According to him, Fasheun established OPC to protect the interest of Yoruba people in Nigeria and diaspora and fight for the unity of the country. “There is a greater need for these objectives now because our being Yoruba is being threatened, our concern interests are threatened,” he said. He, therefore, urged OPC members to forge unity with other self-determination groups so that they can work for a common interest. Oshun charged members of the group to be committed to choosing leaders to lead the country, saying they should not restrict themselves to just being engaged as security consultants. Deaconess Fasehun, in her remark, urged those elected into positions of authority to lead the group to run affairs of OPC for humanity and not for selfish interest, saying they should see their election as service to humanity. She said her husband, who founded the group, stood for justice, peace and unity, urging the new executives to follow the foundation the founder laid, just as she appealed to members of the group to be united and speak with one voice. “Whatever it takes, speak as one, don’t be partisan, say the truth, live for the truth because being good makes you enviable. Unite all fronts and forge ahead, the task ahead is enormous. “Whatever you do, let the fear of God guide you. You should remember Nigerians are watching you, do the right thing,” she counselled. https://tribuneonlineng.com/discontinue-trials-of-igboho-kanu-fasehun-led-opc-tells-fg/ |
Lawyers from Igbo speaking region of Nigeria have applied to the Federal High Court in Abuja to join them as defendants in a suit filed by a group of Northern elders, praying for the exit of the South East region out of Nigeria based on the agitations of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafran (IPOB) and Nnamdi Kanu. The legal practitioners led by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Chuks Muoma, Ukpai Ukairo, Ebere Uzoatu and Hon Obi Emuka are asking for an order of the court to allow them to join in the suit as representatives of the people of the South Eastern region. In their application for joinder filed by Victor Onweremadu sighted on Monday in Abuja, the applicants claimed that the case of the Northern elders seeking the exit of South East from Nigeria has the capability to shape the life of the generation of Igbo people. The Northern elders had in June this year filed the contentious suit asking the court to compel the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives to hasten the exit of the South-Eastern region out of Nigeria before concluding the ongoing amendment to the country’s constitution. The request for the court order to compel hastening of South-East exit from Nigeria was one of the three prayers sought in a suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/538/2021 filed by a group of elders and politicians from the North led by Nastura Ashir Shariff, Balarabe Rufa’I, Abdul-Aziz Sulaiman and Aminu Adam. They averred in a supporting affidavit that their action was informed by the need to stem the tide of violence and destruction being allegedly occasioned by the agitation for secession championed by the Nnamdi Kanu-led IPOB. Plaintiffs, who claimed that they do not want a repeat of the 1967 to 1970 civil war in Nigeria that cost the nation many innocent lives and properties worth billions of naira., listed the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), the Senate President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly as defendants in their suit. Although the Igbos are not joined in the suit, the Igbo lawyers claimed that they have an interest to protect in the suit, hence, their request to be made a set of defendants in the case. In their 12-paragraph affidavit in support of their application, the lawyers noted that the Northern elders in their suit did not think it necessary to join the people of South-East or their representatives to enable the court to hear from them. The affidavit deposed to by one Ekenna Felix Jonathan read in part, “that this suit is so crucial and a sensitive matter which concerns the Indigenous Igbo speaking tribe in Nigeria and has the capability to shape the life of the future generation of the people of the South-East of Nigeria and other indigenous Igbo speaking tribes in Nigeria. “That the Igbo Lawyers Association represented by the applicants are an indigenous association of lawyers from the South-East of Nigeria and other indigenous Igbo speaking tribes in Nigeria. That the Igbo Lawyers Association and its objective is to represent the interest of the Igbo people which said people are Indigenous in the South-East of Nigeria. Thus, the association is interested and is a necessary party to be joined. “That it will serve the interest of justice if the Honourable court grants the application and join the applicants as defendants in the suit and that the plaintiffs will not be prejudiced if the application is granted.” Justice Inyang Ekwo has fixed November 1, 2021, for the hearing of the suit. https://tribuneonlineng.com/igbo-lawyers-seek-to-join-suit-asking-for-south-east-exit-from-nigeria/?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook |

-Prosecution will compound agitations, ill wind, will blow Buhari administration, Nigeria no good Dayo Johnson Akure Afenifere, the Pan Yoruba Socio-Political Group has said that the Federal government has come to its wits end in the case with the Biafran leader, Nnamdi Kanu and other self agitators in the country. Its General Secretary, Chief Sola Ebiseni in a statement issued in Akure said that ” Without prejudice to the determination of the case by the Court it is clear that its end will certainly compound agitations on the national question, an ill-wind that will blow the Buhari administration and Nigeria no good. The statement reads ” With the amended seven counts charges against Nnamdi Kanu, as released by the press, it appears the Federal Government has come to its wit’s end in the case with the Biafran Leader and self-determination agitations generally. ” lt is time that the Attorney General, Abubakar Malami exercised authoritative superintendence over his office as the Chief Law Officer and Adviser of the Federal Government in a way that the interest of the nation may be served than indulging in petty politicking to massage the ego and pander to the personal idiosyncrasies of the President. “For instance, the alleged name-calling of Muhammadu Buhari, in April 2015, even before he became the President, would ordinarily be ignored as childish vulgar abuse unworthy of a high profile criminal prosecution. ” ln all the other charges, Kanu is either being prosecuted for alleged statements made in a foreign land as alleged Leader of the proscribed IPOB inciting secession from Nigeria or threatened that anyone who flouted his sit-at-home order should prepare his or her Will. “It leaves a sour taste in the mouth of serious-minded people that the reason for Kanu’s day in Court was an alleged broadcast that “In 2 weeks’ time, what will happen will shake the world, people will die, the whole world will stand still, mark my word”. “Months have gone by since May when he allegedly made the statement abroad the apocalypse is not yet here. “While such inciting statements are punishable under the relevant laws, it is instructive that Government did not say anything about the intended outcome except allegations that “banks, schools, markets, shopping malls, fuel stations were not opened for businesses and vehicular movements grounded” thereby. ” lt is saddening, speaks of multiple standards in the governance of Nigeria and a sad commentary on the unity of Nigeria that this same government has in the hallowed recesses of its administration and in charge of a most sensitive Ministry of Communications Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami whose statements is of a higher incendiary propensity than those of Kanu and with possible aggravated heinous consequences. “Yet has Government not deemed it important to investigate such statements declaring support for Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, their leaders and activities including “we are all happy whenever unbelievers are being killed,” and that no believers should work for a secular government. “There are other terrible allegations which the Presidency took in its stride because the guy has apologised. “The outcome of this prosecution which is lacking in statesmanship and nobility of character, whichever way it goes, will only enhance the image of the Defendant and in the worst possibility even of conviction, increase his status as a prisoner of conscience. “Those who opine that if anything happens to Kanu, that the agitation associated with him would suffer or that others would thereby be deterred are merely deceiving themselves and Government. “A Government that admits that mere words of Kanu has become law, either by legitimate obedience or fear, even while in detention, should think out of the box. Ebiseni said that “The appropriate mind-set is to admit that Nigeria, as a wobbling contraption of entrenched nationalities, is negotiable and that negotiations do not necessarily lead to dismemberment. Let the dialogue begin now. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/10/state-of-the-nation-nnamdi-kanu-igboho-buharis-govt-has-come-to-its-wits-end-afenifere/ |

My boyfriend is not supposed to take care of my needs when we’re dating, that’s why I have parents A lady has burst the bubble of many ladies who think and feel their boyfriends are under obligation to take care of their needs. According to this lady, as far as her parents are around, she sees no reason why her boyfriend should be the one to take care of her needs. She maintained that her boyfriend is not expected to replace her parents and play their role simply because they are dating. Providing an answer to a public query on what she thought about boyfriends who were somewhat mandated to take care of the girlfriends, the Knutsford University College student said she did not need her boyfriend to pay for her expenses as long as her parents were still alive. Her parents have the mandate to take care of her, not her boyfriend. This lady has intimated that relationships should not and never become money-making ventures. Please post to save lives. I saw this post and I think it may be useful to someone here, if u don't have kids u may have younger ones. "I want to share an experience I had a few days ago. I noticed my son had four boils, one on his head, his chest, his leg and his fingers. They were so small, I assumed they are slight infections and would go. His doctor recommended an antibiotic cream. You can see the picture of when the thing was still small. Sometimes my son will be shouting "his head, his head" or "his leg", I assumed it was aches that the boil was giving him and I gave him just paracetamol. His teachers also claimed that he usually shouts "my head, my head" in school. On the third day. As I got back from work, I checked the hand and saw that the boil had opened. I saw something like pus. Lo and behold when I pressed it, a live maggot came out! I wanted to faint. I called my husband and also called the doctor. It was already about 6pm, we couldn't go to the hospital. So the doctor , advised I pressed all of them which I did. 4 live maggots in all. I cleaned the wound with spirit. And his doctor placed him on antibiotics, my son was able to have a restful sleep compared to the past 4 days. The doctor eventually told me about the TUMBU FLY. Please read about it mums. Knowledge is power. She said it happens to both babies, toddlers and adults! Especially when clothes are spread outside or damp clothes. The fly lays eggs on the clothes or when the fly lays eggs on the grass and your clothes fall on the grass, the clothes magnet the egg. When you wear it, the egg enters your skin and begins to mature as a maggot. At nights, it will be moving which is why my son used to cry a lot at night when he's shouting " My head, my head" Doctor's recommendation: 1. Hold all your clothes and children's clothes with pegs to prevent them from falling down. 2. Shake all clothes off before taking them inside. 3. Wash all children's clothes with hot water. 4. Iron all clothes especially that of children . 5. Encourage washing of hands. 6. Clean all surfaces with disinfectant. 7. Wash all bedsheets and towel with hot water. Copied.
