Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nigerian Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu, and the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says reports claiming his client will be freed today is “premature” and based on “assumption”. Ejimakor said this in an interview with BBC News Pidgin published on the website on Thursday morning. According to him, he is not happy with the rumours bandied about by most IPOB separatists. He said since the ultimate decision belongs to the court, they cannot confidently say whether Kanu would be released today (Thursday) or not. https://politicsnigeria.com/breaking-why-nnamdi-kanu-may-not-be-releases-today-lawyer-ejimakor/ |

On Tuesday, 17 November 2015, the Uganda government signed an agreement with Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank) to borrow $207 million at two per cent upon disbursement. The loan had a maturity period of 20 years including a seven-year grace period. It has now emerged that the deal signed with the Chinese lenders virtually means Uganda “surrendered” its most prominent and only international airport. The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) says some provisions in the Financing Agreement with China expose Entebbe International Airport and other Ugandan assets to be attached and taken over by Chinese lenders upon arbitration in Beijing. It also emerged that China has rejected recent pleas by Uganda to renegotiate the toxic clauses of the 2015 loan, leaving Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s administration in limbo. According to the Daily Monitor, the Ugandan government waived international immunity in the agreement it signed to secure the loans, exposing Entebbe International Airport to take over without international protection. In desperation, Uganda in March sent a delegation to Beijing hoping to renegotiate the toxic clauses of the deal but the officials came back empty-handed as China would not allow the terms of the original deal to be varied. Last week, Uganda’s Finance Minister Matia Kasaija apologized to parliament for the “mishandling of the $207 million loan” from the China Exim Bank to expand Entebbe International Airport. Progress of works at the airport, built in 1972, has reached 75.2 per cent, with two runways having reached overall completion of 100 per cent. Entebbe International Airport is Uganda’s only international airport and handles over 1.9 million passengers per year. Its seizure by China would greatly dent the legacy of the 77-year-old Museveni, who came to power on the back of an armed uprising in 1986, and expose him to election defeat. https://guardian.ng/news/museveni-to-surrender-ugandas-only-international-airport-over-chinese-loan/ |
Founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye on Thursday said that many men of God were suffering in their marriages due to the stubbornness of their wives. In a lengthy post on his Facebook page, Bamiloye said that some women would prefer that they were the heads of their matrimonial homes. He urged single men to watch women who “love to have their way” closely and mark them down. Mike Bamiloye wrote “Ephesians 5:22-24 NKJV [22] Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. [23] For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. [24] Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. “1 Peter 3:1 NKJV: Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, maybe won by the conduct of their wives, “Colossians 3:18 NKJV: Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. “There are some portions of the Word of God that some women would wish were not in the Bible. If it were possible for them, they would have erased such a portion from the entire Scriptures. But unfortunately, the entire Word of God is infallible and is settled far away in Heaven. “Therefore, such women chose to ignore the Scriptural instructions as though they were not existing at all. “Some women would have been happier if the Bible had said the Wife is the head of the husband, because of the way they behave in their homes. Some women in the Lord are actually the husband in their homes. They must dictate the AFFAIRS of the home or there would be troubles. They call the shots. They do whatever they chose to do and their husbands must not object or there would be chaos. They are the husband in the home. They have reversed the instructions of the Word of God. “So many men of God are suffering in silence because of the stubbornness of their wives. The ministry would have scattered if they had insisted on using their authority in the home. They would agree with a lot of the foolish ideas and suggestions their wives would bring up and follow them with patience to preserve their ministry and for the sake of the church and congregation. They counsel other people’s homes but theirs is in shamble in secret. “There is a class of female Ministers who never stayed at home with their husband. They travel everywhere, being hosted in many hotels and suits all over as they minister about, eating the best of sumptuous meals provided by their hosts while their husbands stay alone at home manning the local church. “They could be away from home on ministrations for two or three months “Preaching” the gospel all over the world while their husband languishes at home alone being fed by cousins, nephews or housemaids. And when the husband attempt to stop them from moving or attempt to reduce their frequent “mission” trips, they would say he is killing their visions and suppressing their callings. “They would stand behind the pulpits and podiums introducing their sermons with praise for their husbands: “I bring you greetings from my husband, the owner of my head. The payer of my dowries without whom I would not be here today. He sent his warm greetings “, even while the man is suffering loneliness at home. Cold or hot the man is alone. On many occasions when the man has ministrations on mission trips, the woman would not follow because she has her own trips too. So the man is left vulnerable at all times. “BUT WHEN THERE IS A FALL AND IT IS MADE OPENED, FOR THERE ARE MANY SECRET FALLS, THE MAN WOULD BE AT FAULT. NOBODY BLAMES THE WOMAN! BUT GOD KNOWS THE SOURCE OF THE FALL. HE DOES NOT JUDGE AS MEN JUDGE. “Some married women in the Lord are fond of having their ways all the time. They never submit to their husbands. They never follow their husband. They are beautiful to behold in beauty, they smile all the time, they stand beside their husband in the church, but they are not who they claim to be. They are the direct opposite at home. Stubborn, rude, unbroken, disrespectful and very stingy with their body to their husband. “They dictate their terms to give their husbands access to their body. They are hard at home, but soft in the church. Very unsubmissive and insensitive. May God Almighty deliver men from such “Sisters”. “To all such sisters, listen to what the Lord God says in His Word: “Ephesians 5:24: Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.: “What are you going to do to this verse now? You can NOT erase it. You can’t wish it away from the Bible. You can NOT say God did not say it. The Lord God commands that a wife should submit to her own husband “in everything”. “Young and single brothers, watch out very well and open your eyes. Don’t let the Tantalizer or Mr Biggs love cover your eyes. Pray and let the Holy Spirit be your guide. “When you see a Sister always wanting to have her way during courtship, MARK HER DOWN and watch her. “When you hear a Sister saying their husband must settle down wherever she chose to settle down and must do whatever they want him to do, MARK HER DOWN and watch her. When a Sister does not want to be corrected and she would flare up each time you try to direct or correct her behaviours, MARK HER DOWN and watch her. “Hear what the Bible says: Proverbs 21:9: Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.”

Bandits, on Monday, embarked on an indiscriminate raping of women and girls across five communities in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State as their children watched with disbelieve. No reason was given by the bandits for their action as source close told Daily Sun that their mission was just to rape women in the communities, including young girls. The affected communities where the bandits carried out their heinous crime include Dnasa, Iburo, Pelele, Gofa and Nakogbe, all in Shiroro local government area. Every woman or girl sighted by the bandits was dragged to her room and raped in broad daylight. “They came and asked me about my husband and I told them that he has gone to the farm, and the next thing, two of them just dragged me inside and asked me to remove my cloth. I started begging them and one of them hit me with gun and I fell down and he began to rape me, his second also did the same thing,” one of the affected women told Daily Sun on phone through our source. She said many women and young girls, were raped in Pelele, adding that “they told us that they kill any woman who refused to obey them”. She disclosed that in some instance, mothers and daughters were being raped simultaneously by the bandits who our source said were between the ages of 25 to 30, and carrying sophisticated weapons. The source said the bandits had actually came to kidnap the men but could not meet any of them at home as they were all in the farm, and decided to rape the women and girls in the affected communities in their (women) various houses. It was gathered that about 30 women and girls were raped, with two to three bandits raping one woman during the sex extravaganza as they moved from one community to another in their motorcycles. After the atrocities, the bandits were said to have later kidnapped some of the men seen in the farm on their way out of the communities, and were still being held in captivity. Fear and apprehension have, therefore, gripped neighbouring communities as nobody knows which community would be their next target. There has not been any statement from the security agents on the latest incident which has left many of the affected women and girls traumatised. https://www.sunnewsonline.com/bandits-rape-30-niger-women-in-one-day/ |

Zoning: Fresh Crisis Looms In APC, As South East Leaders reject ChairmanShip Position. Details: https://www.nairaland.com/6860234/zoning-fresh-crisis-looms-apc |
…As Southeast leaders reject chairmanship position. • APC governors meet in Abuja today • Party may shift Dec 18 national convention to January. Strong indications emerged yesterday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) may be engulfed in a fresh crisis over disagreement in the zoning arrangements to be adopted for the national leadership of the ruling party ahead of the 2023 presidential and general elections. Sunday Sun gathered from a credible source in the party that following the rejection of the proposal to zone the national chairmanship position of the party to the Southeast by the party stakeholders, the governors under the auspices of APC Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) will meet in Abuja today at night to deliberate on the zoning arrangements and other sundry issues affecting the party. Our source also disclosed that although the zoning arrangement for presidential ticket of the party would be played down during the PGF meeting today, they would, however, deliberate on the zoning arrangement for the national leadership of the party and a possible date for the much-awaited party’s national convention. The source also explained that since the initial tentative plan proposed by the stakeholders to hold the convention on December 17 or 18 will likely not be feasible, the governors might likely change and shift the date by one month, likely the second week of January 2022, explaining that the collective opinion was that the initial December date could be so choked with Christmas festivities. Also revealing that since the undue pressure from certain quarters for the Southeast to take the chairmanship position has been roundly rejected by the stakeholders in the zone, including the two APC governors, and other party chieftains in the zone, our source said that it would also be resolved during the meeting. “I can confirm to you that the APC governors will be meeting in Abuja on Sunday. They will deliberate among other things on the National Convention and zoning arrangements for the party’s national leadership. You know that there have been undue pressures from certain blocs of the party on the Southeast zone to accept the position of the national chairmanship. “However, it is now crystal clear to them that the zone is not ready to accept or be intimidated into accepting that position they are imposing on them. From the governors to the least stakeholder in the Southeast, nobody bought into such proposal. The Southeast party caucus and leaders have taken a position, after meeting recently, not to accept the proposal to zone the party’s chairmanship position to the zone. “And regardless of the outcome of the meeting of the governors on Sunday, the Southeast stakeholders are not likely to shift ground in rejecting the chairmanship position. We are equally good enough to be the president of this country not just the inconsequential position of the party’s national chairmanship they are imposing on us,” the source noted in anger. The source also told Sunday Sun that “another thing that will constitute an item in the agenda for the meeting of the governors will be the likely date for the party’s national convention. You know that December 17 or 18 this year was initially proposed, but it is obvious that it may not be tenable because conducting the convention will be choked by the Christmas festivities. So, the governors will also deliberate on the likelihood of extending it by one month, which will fall in the middle of January next year. “Let me also inform you that the governors will not discuss the issue of zoning of the presidential ticket for 2023. The decision to skip it is deliberate because they want to take it one at a time even though we know very well that once the issue of zoning for the national leadership is resolved, it is as good as resolving the issue of zoning of the presidential ticket.” Recently, the report of Southeast APC leaders rejecting the chairmanship position of the party had dominated the social media platform, with the insistent that they are only interested in position of the presidency. Quoting the spokesman of a group, Chief Chinedu Ogbonna, who also issued a threat on erring politicians, the statement read: “Igbo leaders are reaching out to other regions for their support in producing the next president in 2023 in the interest of peace, equity and unity just as the Igbo have supported other regions in the past, therefore, Igbo should not be seen hurting their own cause. “We call on our politicians from the Southeast extraction to go all out and contest. Our people are blessed; we have enough presidential materials like former President of the Senate, Sen. Ken Nnamani, Governor Dave Umahi, Chris Ngige, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu and many others. “So, we are ready, our stand is that any politicians from Igboland who put him/herself up for the position of national chairman would be regarded as a traitor and an enemy of the Igbo people and history won’t be kind on that fellow. It is simply treacherous,” the group warned. https://www.sunnewsonline.com/zoning-fresh-crisis-looms-in-apc/ |
The Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) deployed for the November 6 Anambra governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is believed to have been tampered with to favour a candidate in the poll, THE WHISTLER has been authoritatively informed. A top INEC official who spoke in confidence because of the sensitive nature of the information, told this website that deliberate sabotage of the BVAS, shortage of ad-hoc staff, insecurity and voter apathy prevented smooth conduct of the poll. The electoral umpire had declared Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as winner of the election after polling a total of 112,229 votes to defeat Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 53,807 and 43,285 votes, respectively. Uba, who lost in his own local government, had rejected the outcome of the election and vowed to reclaim his “stolen mandate” through the courts. THE WHISTLER had reported that other aspirants who lost the election had conceded defeat but faulted INEC over malfunctioning voting devices and deployment of inexperienced ad-hoc staff for the poll. “The national electoral commission presented untrained and poorly trained staff who could not operate the voting machines in many places,” Ozigbo had said. Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressives Congress said although there were “anomalies” across numerous polling units, he won’t be going to court to challenge the results in the “interest of the state”. But while attesting to some of the issues raised by the candidates, the INEC source absolved the party which won the election in the alleged BVAS sabotage. According to the source, some INEC officials were induced by one of the major political parties in the election to ensure that the BVAS malfunctioned in strongholds of rival political parties. He said because it is almost impossible to “tamper with our server” where collated results are electronically sent, the induced officials “had to do something to justify the millions they were given,” by allegedly ensuring that the BVAS malfunctioned in some wards and polling units. He said, “The BVAS is connected to the server….no one can tamper with the BVAS without gaining access to the server. “So, they (INEC officials) kept sending software updates, resulting in few people being accredited. The BVAS kept developing fault after accreditation of few voters. Officials on ground had to frequently download each update to install on the BVAS.” The source said “even the gurus and experts among us” could not help, adding that “it was later around 4pm after people were already frustrated that the system started working perfectly.” He said, “And that’s why I’m telling you that it was deliberate. Where the party in question (name withheld) knew they were unpopular, they ensured that the BVAS did not function well. They felt that after waiting for a long time, the voters would get tired and go back home and that was exactly what happened.” The official said going to court was the said party’s plan “B” if it failed to win the election despite the alleged rigging plot meant to frustrate voters in other aspirants’ strongholds. “People didn’t want the party and even the few people that voted for them did so because of the money they got. Some people got their money and did not vote them.” The source further cited Ihiala LGA where “the thing worked perfectly without hitches” as proof that the malfunctioning BVAS in other LGAs was a deliberate sabotage. Another INEC official who was on ground during the election told THE WHISTLER that, “a lot of people in the rural areas turned out for the election but were disenfranchised because of the malfunctioning BVAS.” The official mentioned an instance where more than 700 people went out to vote in one of the polling units, but “the BVAS accredited less than 100 people.” The rest eventually went back home without voting. In some places, the malfunctioning BVAS forced officials to allow manual voting, but the votes were later voided by INEC, said the official who also pleaded anonymity for fear of being victimized. “A lot of results were cancelled, but the genuine ones showed that APGA won the election. “Our officials allowed manual voting in some wards, but when the results were submitted at the collation office, the results were cancelled.” The official said voting was not rescheduled in polling units where elections were cancelled. “The election we conducted in Ihiala was faultless because the BVAS performed perfectly and optimally.” — Shortage Of Ad-Hoc Staff — Besides malfunctioning devices, lack of trained personnel, late arrival of election materials and fear of violence were other challenges said to have affected the Anambra election. The election was said to have recorded the lowest turnout of voters since 1999. Out of the 2.4 million registered voters in Anambra, only 253,388 were accredited while only 253,388 voted in the last election. The INEC source told THE WHISTLER that few hours to the election, the electoral body was still running around to get people to man all the 5,720 polling units in the state. “Up till around 12 midnight on Friday to 1 am on Saturday, we had not gotten enough officials to man the polling units and that was why we could not go out (early) on election day. “Even as at 10 am, some of us had to start calling our friends to come and do INEC work. We got people who don’t know anything about how to operate the BVAS. They just brought people and we taught them how to operate the BVAS hours before the election and it was the same thing everywhere. “Election was supposed to have started by 8 am but by 10am, we had not gotten people.” Asked what happened to the ad-hoc officials trained by INEC to handle the devices, the source said “They did not come, their parents withdrew them because of the fear of IPOB. Because of the insecurity, people stayed in their houses especially in the state capital of Awka. People only turned out in villages because they wanted money from different parties.” The source further said it wasn’t until later in the day that people started coming out in the state capital to vote. — Election May Not Stand In Court — The source expressed concern that if any of the aggrieved candidates challenges the election in court, it may be cancelled and the court may order a fresh election. He said the court may annul the election on the grounds that thousands of voters were disenfranchised “He (Andy Uba) has a case because on that Saturday, there was general malfunctioning of the BVAS. We did not have enough personnel to man our polling units. On that note, he may go to court. “I even support him to go to court, but he should be aware that the court cannot declare him winner of the election. The court may annul the election and order INEC to conduct another election within the next 90 days.” https://thewhistler.ng/exclusive-how-bvas-was-sabotaged-to-rig-anambra-election-official/ |
Political solution option: Afenifere hits Malami over Igboho, Kanu …Says offer is hypocritical The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has described as hypocritical the statement made by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), that the Federal Government was expecting a request for ‘reconciliation’ or ‘political solution’ to the prosecution of the Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, fondly called Sunday Igboho, and Nnamdi Kanu of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) for their agitations for self-determination. The National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Mr Jare Ajayi, who made this known in a chat with Sunday Sun at the weekend, stated that the government should rather “without further delay, create an opportunity for meetings to be held, where the issues that engendered self-determination agitations would be discussed and resolved amicably. “To us in Afenifere, and indeed, to many who believe in orderliness and rule of law, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, committed no offence. So, the question of he, or anyone on his behalf, making a case for a political solution does not arise. It was the government, through its agencies, that invaded his house on July 1, 2021, killed two people, vandalized his property and went away with some of his aides and property. “The same government has been making a lot of efforts to get him extradited from the Republic of Benin to Nigeria. But because the man is not a criminal, it has been difficult to build a case to nail him. “To further underscore the innocence of the man, as well as the fact that the government is the aggressor, Justices Oladiran Akintola of a State High Court in Ibadan and Obiora Egwaatu of a Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, gave rulings in favour of Igboho and his aides. Costs running into billions of naira were even awarded against the Federal Government.” The Afenifere spokesman observed that the government is now talking about ‘reconciliation’ in order to save its dented face, adding that since the government has now realized that it had made grave mistakes in the cases of the two self-determination agitators, Igboho and Kanu, it should do the needful by discontinuing the legal processes it is pursuing against them. “It should also allow them to move freely and enjoy their fundamental human rights fully,” Ajayi stated. He noted that the government should also comply with the verdicts already given by the courts in respect of the agitators and compensate them for what they have suffered. https://www.sunnewsonline.com/political-solution-option-afenifere-hits-malami-over-igboho-kanu/ |

Yes, Nigerians are one of the most resilient and dogged people in the world. But, The Nigerian government and her people has a binding agreement called the 'Social contract' and it goes beyond just providing infrastructure for Nigerians. |
None of the above. Infact, the Bible answered the question correctly: "However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband." Do this and you'll automatically win your man's heart & he'll be all over you, Especially a man that really care & loves you. |
The man is very very wrong to kill his wife no matter what she might have done or say. Divorce is allowed. The man should have controlled his anger when the wife confronted him and rain abuses (possibly curses) on him. When God said: "The tongue can bring death or life," He was referring to women. As a man, If you don't have anger management principles & can't control your emotions or ANGER, Pls & Pls don't marry a woman with a reckless, loose & abusive tongue. Most times its end in regrets.
