Although you state the truth, slavery still continues today. Whether through free labour, exploitation, sex and other such things.

There are many problems where bosses exploit their employees e.g making female staff sleep with them to sustain their jobs or get a promotion. (or women feel obliged to do so)
There is a significant problem surrounding exploitation and mistreatment. It is not easy to just find another job, but easy to say the man should leave his job. For example what if you have worked in the company for many years or have to support a family which relies on that person greatly. This means such people are highly likely to succumb to exploitation. Looking at Nigeria statistics there is widespread poverty.

In my opinion there should be a regulatory body in Nigeria which deals with such cases and sues the man who forces his employer to attend his church. This money should be used to pay the man regardless of whether he is sacked or not until he finds a job.

In reality there is a lot of bribery in the country and corruption is a large issue, therefore the media needs to have a name and shame approach to such organisations and employers. This will be a deterrence, but also the importance of employee right should be foremost and they should feel their concerns are taken very seriously.

I read a thread on this section few weeks ago where a guy lost his job simply because he refused to carry his boss handbag. He knew that bag carrying wasn't part of the job description, so he stood his ground and refused to become someone's errand boy. How much more your friend, whom his boss has practically turned to a slave...tell him to stand his ground.

I have always given good advice on the right path to achieving the best and moving humanity forward by involving both sexes equally(the differences are opened for debate). I can strongly say there is nothing ironic about that. Saying the truth about the primitiveness of Africa is true and it is palpable you hate to hear the truth. How can we move the continent forward without facing the truth?

Women empowerment is not discriminatory but feminism is. To empower women to know their potentials and contribute to humanity in almost all areas of life is nothing bad at all. I completely agree with that not with some who are masquerading to be special than their male counterparts and be seen as superior in their annoying views on gender equality, which I think, they are doing wrong by trying to intimidate men in most cases.

There is this believe by feminists(feminists by heart to be precise) that liberation of women has to be about ideological masquerading of ladies showing egos to look something special as the only way out in finding solution is misleading on struggles for equality. It has never achieved anything positive. Those who come up with solution are usually different groups of women who have common goals to address issues properly, like the society against domestic violence, the United Nation program on women trafficking,etc and those are not completely about gender equality which you fail to understand.

Finding solution to the gender disparity in working places, home and other areas of life is not going to come through feminism but through other group of people who believe in the good of progressing humanity not on discrimination.

Secondly feminism is about women, but also re education, because everything from education to science is mainly created by men. Many problems exist because a women's influence has not been exercised enough through history.

There are many movements to embody other problems but feminism is for women particularly. Each movement has an emphasis, feminism wasn't created to carry the load for all worldly problems e.g lack of green energy resources. So it does show the feminist perspective and the woman experience. Many men are feminists, and these men have great empathy, if we are to move forward more people need to be active in the struggle. Ofcourse women in different parts of the world have it hundred times bad, so this is a global effort. To tell females, you are worth so much, put yourself first because you deserve it.

Mothers emphasise good upbringing with girls rather than boys and I think this is a large problem, because boys get a narrow view of what it is to be a 'MAN' and these ideologies pressurise many young men to be athletic, emotionally unavailable (hard), into cars and sex. In the UK, many men read the Sun newspaper (our largest newspaper) because on page 3 shows a naked woman. What messages does it send out to our boys and girls? For girls to fit that ideal of 'beauty', for men to have increasingly sexual attitudes to women in general. Women have many problems such as not being taken seriously at workplace and perceived as being less capable to do her job relative to her male counterparts. In Nigeria the problems are a thousand times worse e.g women coerced to sleep with the boss for a promotion. "IS THIS LIFE".
