PoliticsRe: Ladipo Market Belongs To Mushin LGA - LGA Boss by Manlado: 4:54pm On Aug 02, 2013
Can someone please explain to me why there should be a fight over market leader?

If ownership is clear.
Revenue collection method is properly regulated and tax clearance issued.
Beside levies that maybe legally contested in court.

Perhaps there is deep animosity among people who should be brothers.
The resentments often expressed on NL is worrisome.

Makes me ask what Nigeria actually stands for?

You are absolutely correct.
I feel sorry for so many who do not take advantage of the information they now have.
And much more so for those who do not see it.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Ogun Civil-Service Commission Demands 12k From Applicants by Manlado: 12:12am On Jul 26, 2013
victorD3: That's why we must vote in a PDP governor, trust me the form would have been free in a PDP state.
Party People.
Uhmmmm. Opportunists.
From my experience. The Civil Service Commission recruits their own staff yearly and present them to the state government for employment into their section in Government.
Civil Service Commission rare benefit from direct government recruitments.
I.e Amosun can't recruit from them but they need his approval to absolve their recruits.
So they don't get allocation for the exercise.
However, I think 12k is a lot for a government recruitment exercise.
12K can start a business for some people.
Why will they risk it on Job uncertainty?
Best of luck to you jobseekers.
SportsRe: An Interesting Analysis Of Mikel & Makelele by Manlado: 1:15am On Jul 24, 2013
Mikel is intelligent and dynamic. He switches roles in Nigeria and Chelsea and for Seven years still relevant. What most fans want is to see him score goals and be a leader in Chelsea as well.
Although that is no too much to ask but victory comes more often when followers do their jobs effectively.
The young man was outstanding against Spain. He didn't deserve to lose.
Good luck to Mikel whatever path life takes him.

Makelele vs Mikel. Makelele was more regarded but the game has evolved. Perhaps Mikel is better.
Maradona vs Messi. People forget easily that legs were broken deliberately without much consequences in Maradona's days. So I choose Maradona.

babyosisi: Thank you
When he called the first lady and by extension women a mere domestic appendage I kept him where I keep all misogynists
He owes all females an apology
He doesn't have to love women but he must respect us
We have come a long way to be labelled such by an over celebrated woman hater
I am shocked to realize he is this backward in mentality
I used to love and respect the man
Not anymore
He has lost all respects
If abacha's daughter called him a goat,I wouldn't even blame her much
He owes nobody an apology.
His current wife is a professor as well.
Compare:
His wife is professor and PEJ cannot construct a sentence.
That's the basis for ........
LiteratureRe: Chimamanda's Comment About The Caine Prize Angers Writer by Manlado: 1:55am On Jul 17, 2013
cramjones: If you say Chimamanda hasn't gone that far: Then I think you a TOTALLY ignorant. Chimamanda is even more famous in the United States and Europe that she is in Nigeria, and you say she has not gone that far! Well I will blame it on ignorance!
How far could she have gone?
We know that she is popular, even failures can be popular for their failures.
She is young and promising but her arrogance can cut her short.
Imagine publishers start ignoring her.
Let her write and read her books herself.
Humility is the ultimate attitude of humankind.
Great people have fallen, I hope she doesn't end up on that list.

RomanceRe: Facts About Women Who Are In Love by Manlado: 8:04pm On Jul 14, 2013
Love is an illusion of time, purpose and place. Nothing is cast in stone. So your rules apply only in part to different people at different times in different situations. Sorry it cannot be a theorem.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: When Your CV Is Returned At An Interview by Manlado: 4:17pm On Jul 11, 2013
Tell your friend not to worry.
Sometimes an interview may be intended for multiple panelists to handle and to save time you are asked to bring copies of your CV to the interview.
So the panelists may have copies for their assessment.
The number of panelists may be reduced for many reasons one of wish is also to save time particularly if there are so many candidates to handle.
Thus the reason for the reduction in the number of copies required.

NOTE:
Your CV represents your person.
It is very important that you NEVER submit photocopies.
The assessor may or may not reject it but I always downgrade a photocopy where there are others. (So why take the risk).
It tells me how you would like to be appraised.
A neatly written resume tells me that you give attention to what you do.
The content will thereafter be considered.
Good speed to all job seeker out there.

This problem begins with the Press. Am sure Keshi did not watch the criticism from the Superstore panelist. The press guy will just ask Keshi. 'What do you say to Oliseh for criticising your use of home-based players'. Wahala don begin be that! Press feed on stuffs like this.

solomon111: Lagos state has one of the highest number of street children with one of the poorest educational system in the south, yet the elitist governor is wasting money on a time-bomb called "eko-atlantic city".
Mr Smart.
Lagos is not paying for the City.
Ideas brings progress and this one will benefit those street children.
Jobs and wealth to Lagos.
See .......

Who cares about religion?
Choose a fool because of religion.
PoliticsRe: Hamzat In Pole Position To Succeed Fashola by Manlado: 2:15pm On Jul 09, 2013
pro01: In fact, I can work for free as a political/electoral strategy consultant for the PDP in Lagos, and I guarantee that if my blueprint is followed, the party would record a landslide victory at the polls. You need to interact with common people all over Lagos surburbs (the same people who would vote on election day) to understand just how unpopular Fashola and his gang of elitist thieves in the ACN have become in the state. If the PDP fails to win Lagos in 2015, the party should be disbanded.
I assume you think election in Nigeria will follow a scientific rational. Lagos has over 10 million voters, if intelligence is to come to play, why should ACN not continue to win Lagos? Tinubu is the only bias I see.
ACN has plan for future Lagos and we all know.
Elite, Elite, Elite ....
If you earn all 90 % of your taxes from VI and co.
Then you should fix those roads and amenities around that area first.
That was the rational for 13% Derivation.

Residential area will come along.
People need to know
Unfortunately, there are those who will deceive for their own pleasure.
God bless Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Hamzat In Pole Position To Succeed Fashola by Manlado: 2:01pm On Jul 09, 2013
Let us view this in perspective.
Name one person that would emerge as Governor under ACN that will not be labeled a Tinubu boy.
Even if the whole of Lagos choose the candidate s/he would still be called Tinubu stooge.
I want progress in Lagos. A continuous one.
PDP and ACN should come out with there best.
Clean record, Articulate mind and smart stakeholders.

Once you emerge from ACN be prepared to be called imposition. Sorry ...
Politics is making your opposition appear worse than you are.

As for those who keep calling all Nigerian leaders thieves. The structure of Nigeria is imbalanced. Senator earns billions in four years including the unconstitutional constituency allowance created by PDP to appease themselves.

Show me a perfect man born of a woman....
God bless Nigeria!

PoliticsRe: APC, Danger To Nigeria - Ezeife, Ex-Anambra Governor by Manlado: 11:45am On Jul 07, 2013
take dat: *APC has no ideology, it is therefore not good for Nigeria.
*PDP has no ideology, but it is not the fault of the party.

"Why beholdest thou the mote that is in they brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"

The old brigade politicians including this Merlin beard-masquerade lookalike, led us to this sorry state. These old foxes should all go into political hibernation, they are the real danger to Nigeria!
I feel sorry for Nigeria!!!
Is this an elder statesman?
Listen to him saying : I am one of the wise ones of old. I created SDP,NRC and PDP therefore they are good for Nigeria. APC is no good because I have no hand in it.
This is the kind of bias mind that destroyed the foundation of our democracy.
He is telling us he already knew that PDP would win 1999 election. So he confirmed the election was a fraud. Damn!
His intellect is wow, my baby could smack him.
America is multi-party. Can someone tell him please!!!!!!!!!!!!
The present Democrats are a merger!
Karma to you sinners in the foundation of poor Nigeria.
Damn!
PoliticsRe: Lagos– Ibadan Expressway: FG Had To Intervene – Jonathan by Manlado: 7:38pm On Jul 06, 2013
PDP vs ACN . This shouldn't be our concern. Our concern should be that we are properly and prosperously governed. Our comments should be in pursuit of these matters beside being good citizens. Lets make contributions that are encouraging and bring out issues on area that the goverment needs to give attention to. Party issues becomes inevitable at the election time, issues will be discussed explicitly.
PoliticsRe: Lagos– Ibadan Expressway: FG Had To Intervene – Jonathan by Manlado: 3:37pm On Jul 06, 2013
ikaleguy: N167Bn!! (Equivalent to over $1Bn) That translates to over N1Bn per Km God save our Naira
$1bn is not much if you know the cost involve in such construction. Contractors fee, consultants, transportation of raw material, human resources etc. Building a house can be cheap but then building a solid house is something else. More importantly, we get to save lives on a quality road. Live is worth $billions and more.
