As far as Health and Safety at work is concerned Nigeria no get laws {or if they do they exist on paper only} So any foreign company can come here and do as they like. Working conditions like that will never be tolerated in a developed country.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Religion Or Practising 2 (main) Religions A Curse Or A Blessing For Nigeria? by manmustwac(m): 10:31am On Oct 17, 2008
Religion is a curse in Nigeria or shall i say Africa because the masses would rather put their faith and trust in God to solve their problems rather than look to their leaders because according to them God is more superior than their leaders, but in the real world that we live in the leaders can do a lot more to help the masses than God if the masses would somwhow relinquish their belief in God and hold their leaders to accountability

I have heard this line of argument so many times, but it doesn't make sense. The fact that you don't remember your existence at a particular moment does not mean that you did not exist at that particular moment.

There has been people who had a Concussion that made them forget everything about themselves. Concussions can make people even forget their names, who they where, their children, Parents, their house, age and etc; does this mean that they never existed. There are people who after such a Concussion, live the rest of their lives without ever remembering anything that happened before the concussion. This is a well known medical condition, and it is well documented in America.

Therefore absence of memory does not mean absence of existence. That argument does not hold water at all, even scientifically it makes no sense.

Reasearch on "Concussions" and "brain injuries". Such conditions can also cause a total memory loss. Memory and existence are two different things. Absence of memory does not mean absence of existence.

The fact that you do not remember what you were doing 10 years before you were born does not mean that you weren't in existence 10 years before you were born.

Thanks.
How can you suffer from memory loss or brain injuries if you don't have a memory or don't have a brain? You get concussion as the result of an accident and for you to have an accident means you must exist.

Ok so you prove to me that someone you know who has passed away in the last 10 years still exists then?

Christianity EtcRe: Where Is God When I Need Him? by manmustwac(m): 12:25am On Oct 16, 2008
Cayon:
One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Scenes from his life flashed across the sky
and he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life had flashed before him,
he recalled that at the lowest and saddest times of his life
there was only one set of footprints.

Dismayed, he asked, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'D walk with me all the way.
I don't understand why, when I needed you most,
you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious child.
I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering
when you saw only one set of footprints,

That was when I carried you."
Cayon be realistic at least a 100 million people are roasting in nija and nobody dey carry dem

Do any of you guys remember what you were doing 10 years before your parents concieved? I guess not. So what makes you think that you will even know where you will be 10 years after you die. When you have no brain no memory no mind no thoughts you return to nothing. You came from dust so u return to dust. Simple.

Pilgrim1 The point i'm making is that everybody has the right to become a born again even ex yahoo boys and ex muslims. So why can't God accept a man's offerings even though the money he is offering came from what he was doing in the past?
Christianity EtcRe: 20 Naira Or Less, Does God Deserve More? by manmustwac(m): 1:41pm On Oct 15, 2008

The first point here is whether you count as one of His worshippers. He's not asking 'Yahoo boys' to give anything if they [b][have not given their hearts to His love in the first place. /b]wink
So if he don do yahoo tire chop millions of naira wouldn't God accept his offerings if he became a born again? You yourself are a born again too your an ex muslim arnt u?

please answer mazje's question
@post
Dose God deserve more? Why? What for? The facts are that most people who contribute don't even know where their hard eaned money is going. Is the money going to finance a lavish lifestyle, build more business institutionschurches or into someones bank account. I wouldn't mind contributing with happiness even though am not religious if i knew my money was going to help the genuinely poor and needy

Christianity EtcRe: Why Has God Been Keeping Quiet Over My Predicament. by manmustwac(m): 10:03pm On Oct 13, 2008
Help me brothers somehow my faith in God is waning away. I have searched for job with enough fasting and praying but yet nothing seems to be happening. The most painful part of it is that i am an ex seminarian. Judging from my antecedents while in the seminary i never knew God would just keep quiet over my predicament this long besides i even made second class upper in philosophy and mass communication respectively.
Believe me scouting for job for the past 2 years is not a worthwhile experience.
please somebody should help me explain Gods constant love and guidance on a person like me.
Lets take a logical view at your predicament. You can't find a job and no matter how hard you fast and pray thats not going to solve the problem. And you being an ex seminarian dosen't make any difference. The facts are is the jobs are very scarce in Nigeria, don't u know that for every decent job vacancy there is there are about 100 to 150 applicants all fasting and praying to the same God for the same job like you. So what makes you think that your chances of getting the job are better than them? Its because Nigeria is a very corrupt country. YES! All our religious politicians who are supposed to be helping the masses like you are thieves. Thats the real reason why u can't find a job. Why do you think that everybody would leave the country if they had the oppotunity? Anyway am not trying to dent your faith just letting u know some hard facts. Keep the faith. And come back here in six moths time and let us know whether you got a job yet. ok.
