Hello All, I am 39years and just received my student visa to study at Royal Roads University BC. I would really appreciate any feedback on getting Province Nomination in BC. Due to my age I know that getting a high score for the express entry may be challenging. I am even considering changing school to any of the Atlantic Provinces. I really would appreciate any feedback on the PR Pathways in British Columbia considering my age. |

Hi Justmellow, Thanks for your prompt response. I want to spend the holidays with family that's why I want to travel after Christmas and not before December 1st. Is it still Ok if I travel late December since my orientation on the 01st of December is online. Hello Mantleouchtele, You can even travel before Dec. 01. Orientation is also part of your school academic requirement and this is know by IRCC and CBSA at the POE. If you include the 14days quarantine period, you will find out that your traveling at this time is justifiable. All the best
|

Hello Experts, I have gotten my visa. My start date is December 01st, which is orientation and it's ONLINE but my IN-PERSON classes start Jan 25th 2021. I am planning to travel to Canada late December/first week in January so I can quarantine before my in-person classes start Please I hope i won't have any issues at the Port of Entry traveling after December 01st. |

Hello All, Please experts is there a number of courses you must do in a Semester to be eligible for PGWP and considered a full time Student. My school is only offering one course this semester but someone said I need to do 3 courses to eligible for PGWP. Please how true is this experts? |

Hello experts, We all know that VFS is still closed and Passport Submission cannot be done even if you get a final decision that your application is approved. In this case can you start studying online when you get a passport request? or you still have to wait still you submit your passport and get your port of entry letter of introduction before you can start your online studies? By IRCC requirements in this Covid period, when can you start studying online. Passport request or port of entry letter of introduction? |

Hello Frankrobben/Moderators Many Thanks for your response on Nairaland. I have sent a webform to CIC and i have received the generic response that there will be 90days extension on all pending documents. My School is resuming on the 11th of May and we have been advised to start the program online, we will start with one course and then by September we will continue with the other courses ON-Campus. My question is 1. What if VFS is still not collecting passport by May which is the start of the program due to the COVID -19. Do I need to get a New letter of Acceptance or any other Document from the school and upload via webform since i have not gotten my Visa stamped and its past the May resumption date. 2. If i am able to submit the passport and travel in July/August for instance since the On-CampusClasses start in September, do i need to get another letter from the school to show at the POE(Point of entry border)since my Letter of Acceptance shows May as resumption Date Many Thanks as I look forward to your responses |

IRCC has stated that it will not refuse applications for non-compliance and it will continue to process applications that are in progress at its case processing centres in Canada and around the world. Moreover, when it comes time to submit biometrics, applicants will actually have 90 days to complete this step instead of the usual 30 days. Q2-) Don't dare to send your passport via a courier service for whatsoever reason. Please file for an extension via the IRCC webform. Q3-) Yes, a visa is a document that gives you entry to and fro of Canada. A visa doesn't determine your stay in Canada. Upon landing after the pandemic Virus, you will be issued a study permit at the point of entry and it will cover for the entire period of your stay in Canada with extra 6 months. I hope this helps. It will end in praises.
|

Dear Obehi, I am female and my dad was a co-sponsor. The additional documents which I added in my second application was: 1. Affidavit of return 2. Letter of explanation- I queried why I was denied the first application that I had proved my intentions to study( I was denied based on purpose of visit in the first application), I was polite oh! I also attached my email correspondence with other universities in other countries to show Canada was not a do or die affair 3. I also attached a Newspaper publication Where one of the universities advertised Programs for 2019/20 but did not include the course at Masters level 2 Likes |

Dear Obehi, Thanks for your response. With regards to me being at the VFS office, those people are very rude and full of themselves. They act as if they are too much and avoid giving too much details Thanks anyway for the feedback, please for the record as I responded to Son of God. Dear Moderators Thank you for all that you do. May God bless and reward you. Please I need your advise, I have received my Original Passport Request letter for my online student application but when I went to the Vfs office here in Abuja Nigeria to submit my passport I was informed that they are no longer collecting passport for now. My questions are: 1) I received the letter on the 19th of March and I have 30days to submit the passport, would the period of passport submission be extended I am supposed to resume school May 4th. 2)Someone advised I send my passport via FedEx to CIC in Ottawa Canada for Stamping. Can I send it? 3)in case the school defers to September because of the travel restrictions caused by covid 19, would my Visa be extended by IRCC to cover the duration of study. Please I would really appreciate your kind response. Best Regards 1 Like 1 Share |
