Politics / Who Are These Obidients? by Manuchiso(f): 11:06am On Aug 23, 2022
Who are these Obidients?|
I see them amongst my staff and amongst those that regard themselves as being amongst the oppressed and downtrodden.i see them amongst the professionals and those that are bankers, lawyers, doctors and artists. I see them in the North, West, East and South. I see them everywhere and not only on social media. They are waking up to the reality

Romance / The Truth About Love by Manuchiso(f): 6:49am On Aug 16, 2022
The truth about Love |
Love doesn't force relationship on others. Obsession is not love, it's from the pit of hell. Anybody that will go to any length to force him/herself on someone is not walking in true love.
Love is not selfish, is not always about me first. Some people are like me this, me that, me, my, mine, always about them.

Our human tricks do not influence events. His sovereignty does. Let us entrust our life to Him.
V.1: Truth revealed to me: Conspiracy to tell lies and stare up hatred.
It's not every rumour that has an atom of truth in it, Laban's sons knew how them and their father cheated Jacob and how God blessed his hard work yet they claim that he stole their father's wealth. Genuine blessing can still attract envy and jealousy.

Unfortunately, not just the society but parents have contributed immensely to this and some are still contributing as we see the level of negligence from parents and unpatented children becoming parents as well. These days parents buy expensive gadgets in the name of android and smartphones because we claim to be in google and internet age, we hand over these powerful machines to our young children and teens without any supervision over them. Some of us have blindly trusted our children, even when there is prompting to check on them, we feel that they are well trained, they can't misbehave, they can't do this and that.
It's a shame!

Notice the main theme of the encounter (v.31). This visit would have brought great comfort and emotional support to Jesus as he prepared for the path of greatest suffering that was so imminent. We must learn to allow God to use us as channels of His timely support to those who need such encouragement.

Today's reading has key lessons for everyone of us. How many of us have disqualified people that God has qualified by grace due to their formal educational qualification? Do we preach Jesus but never learn from Him?
Left to us, how many of these twelve would we have considered qualified for recruitment: the four uneducated ordinary fishermen (Acts 4:13b), Matthew - a tax collector or 'sinner', Simon a political activist e t c. We are equally not qualified to be called by our Lord. We are chosen by grace alone! Don't miss today's reading, click below to get the whole reading

Don't have a Daily Guide yet, Peaceable Peace is here for you. Using Daily Guide is one of the most effective ways to read your Bible.

Jesus Christ is truly God and truly Man. Luke testified to these truths by introducing Him to us at two levels. Truly God, by highlighting the presence and testimony of the two other person of the Triune God - the descent of the Holy Spirit upon Him and the Father's voice, identifying Him as His Son and truly Man by tracing His genealogy from his earthly father, Joseph to Adam.

Religion / How To Build Up Each Other by Manuchiso(f): 8:07pm On Oct 19, 2021
While Paul's exhortation here is excellent, it is the style of the exhortation we should especially notice. We live in an age where we are constantly pressured to emphasize the novel, new, or improved versions of things. But in our lives as Christians, our knowledge always exceeds our obedience. So more often than we like to think, we need to remind each other of what we are doing right and just simply say, "Hey, you're doing well; just keep doing what you're doing!" Read more

Religion / The Evil Of Parental Negligence by Manuchiso(f): 7:35am On Sep 28, 2021
When you abandon your children, you expose them to the weapons of wickedness and they could use that weapon against you in the future. Let’s rather pray for them, continue to teach them God’s word and keep instructing them in the way of righteousness.

It's a case study of David who did marvelously well as a king but had various flaws as a man. There is a lot to learn from him so we would not make the same mistakes. Read here

All those guys that treated you with love, respect ,value & whatnot, where did you place them ?

Freindzone right ? Go to that zone & start appreciating them !
But will you & your folks do that ?

You sound like you were heartbroken. Bros, if you don't tell a lady you love her but think she will understand by you being nice to her, you are wasting your time not because she does not appreciate you but because she may not love you in the manner your desire. And what's wrong with been friends? Speaking up saves you ahead of time so that even when you are treating a lady nicely you both know why you are so doing. Assumptions doesn't help anything, nobody is a mind reader.

Religion / Can I Use My Tithe For Charity Work? by Manuchiso(f): 5:00am On Jul 14, 2020
One thing I have seen Christians debate so much about is the issue of paying Tithe. Whenever the issue of tithe is been discussed in a Bible study group, you often hear things like; what if my tight is the only thing I have and I met someone dying knowing that my tithe can be used to save the person, if I use it to save that person, have I not paid my tithe? Since tithe is meant to be used to cater for the poor, what if I give it to those I know are in need of it? What if this, what if that?

Have you also asked any of these of questions in the past and still don't have the right answer or people have asked you but you didn't have the right answer? Would you like to know?

An interesting story by

Obinna Chukwudi.

THE NEPHILIM IN BESHTORI.

My name is Jonathan Fencing, I'm happily married to a woman who's name is Juliet and we have two sons. I owned a multi billion naira company that produced suits and clothes in general. But my last production attracted international attention, it attracted operatives known as A.O.M. The Agency Of Motives. They wanted me to help them trap my friend Vincento, but I refused. So they brought my company down and sent an agent to try to convince me again to betray my friend. I refused, and the same agent they sent to convince me tried to eliminate me. I beat the agent to the gun, the agent whom I discovered to be the supposed friend of mine who shot me months before that moment. I knew that A.O.M would send more men to kill me so I left with my family, our flight led us here. I find my self in a wasteland called Beshtori. Unknown to me seventeen years has passed away since I got here. I'm not too surprised because I was warned, I was told by Rica Elias that an hour here would be a year in their reality. I look at my watch and realize that it's been over an hour since I got here, 8:00pm to be precise. I hear a mighty sound that quakes the earth. “Earthquake?" I ask myself...No, an earthquake usually tears the ground open, earthquakes do not make consecutive giant thuds on the ground. As far as I can still detect, no part of the ground has been torn open so this is not an earthquake.. If anything, this feels like giant footsteps coming towards my direction, no this feels like a living giant approaching. “Oh my God." I come out from under my covering and behold, what a dreadful sight. I see a giant that stands as tall as a fifty storey building. “Oh my God." I run as fast as I can, as far away from this horror as I can.

This is the way to really hurt her. For the next three months, treat her like a princess, love her, bring her flowers, buy her gifts, take her out for dinner, and do some of the house chores. So, take your time to follow through the blessings and prayers listed here and do well to claim them into your life and into your family.

Overcoming Emotional Blackmail
Emotional Blackmail is something we often go through without understanding that it's actually blackmail. We have all been victims of emotional blackmail at one point of our life. Parents blackmail children, children blackmail parents, siblings blackmail siblings and couples blackmail each other. Emotional blackmail comes in every sphere of life but today I'll give you practical steps that helped me overcome it and is still helping me and I believe it will equally help you overcome it as well. To be honest, one of the most difficult things to do is to say NO to the ones you love but you need to understand that saying NO at times is not lack of respect or love.

Religion / Should We Seek His Face Or His Hand? by Manuchiso(f): 10:55pm On Oct 22, 2019
Some readers come to the Bible to gain insight or truths and principles. However, coming to the Bible with your head can leave your heart untouched.
No wonder so many people can quote from Genesis to Revelation but their lifestyle does not fit into the teachings of the Bible. They're head people. They come to know the Book but not the Author. (The Pharisees had this issue).
There is so much more to gain from the Scriptures than truth about God. You can gain God Himself.
Go for God, you can find Him by beholding and knowing the Lord Jesus Christ.

Religion / The truth about Love? by Manuchiso(f): 12:52am On Oct 07, 2019
Corinthians 13:3 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.
Wow! This is amazingly wonderful or should I say unveiling and disturbing. Because it is rather disheartening, disappointing and distorting that people actually perform acts of kindness without love. Is it possible to give all I have to the poor without love? Is it possible to give myself to the stake and die as a martyr without love?

Jobs/Vacancies / Interview Tips by Manuchiso(f): 11:24pm On Oct 04, 2019
*What is a CV?*

*A CV is an official document that contains the profile, educational and career background of a person*.
*In our part of the world, CV and a résumé means the same thing but in other climes, they mean different things entirely. Some of us have been submitting CVs like forever and yet we don't get interview invites.* *The problem is that your CV is not passing what is known as The 30 seconds Test. The 30 seconds test simply means that an employer or interviewer will decide if he's going to employ you or not within 30 seconds of perusing your CV.
The Do's and Don'ts of CV
Packaging

1. Never start your CV with "Curriculum Vitae". Start with your name boldly written with a larger font.

2. Ensure the address on your CV is the same with the location of the job. It will make interviewers consider you faster. e.g, if the job is in Lagos, apply with a Lagos address. If you don't stay in the same location, look for someone you know that use same location.

3. Don't use childish email address. Use an email address with your name. Don't use email address such as sexybecky4u2luv@gmail.com. It says a lot about your maturity and professionalism. You can use michaeljacobs@gmail.com or michael.jacobs@gmail.com. If the name is already taken, add some numbers, e.g michaeljacobs236@gmail.com

4. Under personal data or profile. Some entities like date of birth, state, local government and nationality are not compulsory. As a matter of fact, if the age they need doesn't favour you, just take off your date of birth. Keep the interviewer in doubt. Rather sell your skills.

5. Under educational background and dates, simply write your school, your course of study and then the year you graduated. Take off the year you got admission. Some people started school in 2005 and graduated in 2012 for a 4-year course. It might not be their fault but employers wouldn't take it that way since you're not there to defend it. So I repeat, write out only graduation year.
Also, there's no need for your grade (First class, 2.1, 2.2, etc). Just take it off.

6. Professional Certification is another area that's making people lose out of job search in recent times. Under this section, most people don't have what to put and it pisses off most employers. It means you haven't done much to add value to yourself. If you are a Corp member here, try to do one or two professional course during your service year, else you will be submitting what we call a blank CV'. For those working, you can use your weekends to achieve same. It will help you in your next job search.

Under your work experience, you are expected to state where you worked, your job designation and your responsibilities. If you are no longer working in the firm, write your responsibilities in past tense. The current place of work can be written in present tense.

However, all your work experiences need not go on your CV except the one relates to the job you're applying for. it makes your CV concise.

Under you hobbies and interest, you need to be careful of your choices. I once saw a CV that has playing video games as the applicant's hobby. I quickly discarded the CV. Your hobbies should be within researching, meeting people, playing scrabble or chess, mentoring and travelling. But be sure you are into the hobbies as it could be placed before you one day.

9. Under your referees or references, please you are expected to have your referees name, address, phone number and email address. You can also use your family member as your referee but ensure you don't use the same surname. Also, ensure your referees are aware you are using them as referees to avoid stories that touch.

10. An ideal CV should be in black and white not coloured except on two occasions: if you are applying as a graphic designer and you want to wow your employer or when your CV has the logo of the company you've worked before under your job experience.

11. Never forward a CV from your inbox to another employer. Open and compose a fresh mail then upload your CV and send.

Religion / Think About The Final Harvest by Manuchiso(f): 6:48am On Sep 27, 2019
I won't forget this message that was preached by one of my Pastor's last Sunday. In fact, every believer that still has heaven in view shouldn't ignore this and that's why I've decided to write about it because we can't afford to miss the End Time Harvest. Also, we always pray that the Lord of the harvest will send in labourers into the harvest, but how often do we pray to be part of the final harvest?

Topic: THE END TIME HARVEST
Text: Matthew 13:47-52; 7:21-23; 24:31

Matthew 13:
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet which was cast into the sea and gathered in fish of every sort.
48 When it was full, men dragged it up on the beach, and sat down and sorted out the good fish into baskets, but the worthless ones they threw away.

Religion / Envy-a Dangerous Trait by Manuchiso(f): 8:56pm On Sep 24, 2019
Who can stand it?

Proverbs 27:4 says; "Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous: but who can stand before envy?"(KJV).

Message puts it this way; "We're blasted by anger and swamped by rage, but who can survive jealousy?".

Envy is a dangerous ground, don't tread it because you won't survive it.

Wrath means great anger, it is cruel and leads one to blast others. Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure, hostility or antagonism towards someone or something usually combined with an urge to harm. You can imagine what great anger can do. Read more here
