You can 'extrapolate' your answer from earlier posts. You're good at extrapolating so it shouldn't be an issue. You could also start a new thread. |

^^ I laugh at you trying to teach me English. Like I said, since you're heard of hearing (or reading), the only reason God will endorse divorce is when there's a case of infidelity. Just so you know. JC may not have told women to stay in a physically abusive relationships, but I'm sure he considered that when he said infidelity should be the only reason he'd endorse divorce. Unless you're smarter than him, that is, since you're good at extrapolating. But you're getting ahead of yourself here. The OP asked a question about submission. I wouldn't know the kind of dictionary you use either, but I'm finding it hard to pair submission and physical abuse within the same bracket. THE ISSUE IS ABOUT SUBMISSION AS A RESULT OF THE MAN HAVING FIRST LOVED, OR LOVING AS A RESULT OF THE WOMAN HAVING FIRST SUBMITTED. And I'm saying they should be independent of each other, ideally. AND THAT COMES INTO PLAY NATURALLY IN DECISION MAKING, not physical abuse, bros. So cool down. And FYI, I don't believe in divorce. I think whatever the issues are two adults can always resolve them IF THEY WANT TO. |

iiiyyyk: Thanks man. You understand where I'm coming from. If everyone played their roles the institution of marriage would not be in so much mess. The problem is women trying to be the head and men preferring to be philanderers and irresponsible. Hence all the wahala. moremi2008: What exactly are you saying cos I can't make much sense from this. Where exactly did I say women should be slaves? I said the woman should have her say but still let the man have the final say. However does that translate to slavery? When women are asked to submit unconditionally, it's because the One who asked them to does not sanction divorce, except as a result of infidelity. The same applies to men as well: You're to love unconditionally. They should be mutually exclusive. But that applies to couples who are already married. So get it clearly pls |
Family / Re: What Does It Mean To Be A Submissive Wife. by MarcAnthon(m): 3:10am On Feb 28, 2012 |
D bible didn't add all these clauses my 9ja sistas r cooking up o!!! It's "wives submit, , den men love, " No "if, , else" clauses Exactly! If everyone played their part marriage won't be such hard work as we know. If you're already married it's too late I guess. The wife should submit and the husband should love, both without conditions. To submit would mean accepting his decision as final even if you should have your say still. Those who are unmarried would have to put their partners up against God's standard. For her: does he love me unconditionally? Will my own plans for my life ultimately blend with his? Can I trust him with my future? Can I trust him to make the right decisions for our kids? etc, etc. If you can answer an honest yes to these questions then bitter arguments shouldn't arise, not just because he loves you but because you consider him capable and smart enough to make the right decisions for you both. And for him: Does she love me as well (believe me submission is not the first thing here. Guys also want to feel loved first)? Is she proud, haughty, incalcitrant, and/or considers herself too smart for me? Does it take threats and not superior arguments to get her to fall in line? Does she respect me? etc, etc. To our sistas who think the western world provides the ideal marriage model, you may want to consider what the divorce rate figures are. . . 1 in 2 in the US. Unless you won't mind being forty with three kids and waiting on your third husband. At the end of the day, like someone pointed out earlier, where true love exists everything else should be a lot easier. |

ayanle You should be ashamed of yourself and your people seeing all what Pendo wrote there. I would be if I were you. Channel your anger, bitterness and hate to the man that fccked you in the ass while you were imprisoned. When you go about it this way you become the most loathsome persona I have ever come across online. Your land is a wasteland, your people have had their humanity ripped out of them by their fellow savage countrymen. Now you're all either beggars, refugees, savages or pirates, and instead of you to start thinking of ways to improve your lot you're here hating on a people that don't care if you're shot through the eyes or butt. Please get your head out of your ass and begin to use it. And while you're at it learn how to quote people and post properly. It tells me your IQ is so low, like I suspected. Btw how old are you? |
Romance / Re: What A Shameful Impression Abt Nigeria And Nigerian Girls by MarcAnthon(m): 12:29pm On Feb 26, 2012 |
Olodo oshi. Everyone hears some silly tale and then runs in here to open a thread, forgetting that this is www and some ignoramus somewhere who doesn't know any better will think that's the true situation of things. Here, go to this thread and see how some scum thinks his Somali race (for that matter) is superior to we 'silly slave West Africans': https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-855380.96.html#msg10270613 So just get your head out of your ass and be responsible for once in your life. BTW, how old are you? |

Mrs, Chima: And then I watched this video sometime back about how AA women prefer African men to AA men because, among others 'African men would pay for dinner when they were out on dates, but AA men wouldn't'. I found that hilarious. But if you say so. . . |
Romance / Re: Is It True: by MarcAnthon(m): 2:22am On Feb 26, 2012 |
TisaBone: Lol. You come across as different, innocent and naive, all wrapped up in one. Isn't it a given that everyone pays their bills in the west? I get 'invited' for a night out for dinner only to find that I'm expected to pay for myself . And this has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a guy. The girls in the company do the same and sometimes I get embarrassed but I'm told that's the culture here even dating couples. So don't you know that already? |

@ayanle, you have a very repulsive attitude. I don't know much about your people, and honestly I don't give a fcck. All I know is that if you guys are so cool, and if your 'pride' is a healthy one, you'd have found ways to fix your country so you'll stop collecting handouts from the rest of the world - which is really demeaning to your so-called pride. If you guys are so proud you should choose to starve to death than collect handouts I could say a lot to you but I'm not so sure it will be useful cos your come across like you're irredeemably lost in your 'pride'. But take this away with you: 1: a lot of what is said on here is just for fun, and those Nigerian brothers who bash our sisters would defend them anywhere in real life. Apparently you have no sense of humor to see through this, and I wouldn't blame you. It is sometimes an IQ matter. 2: We are not so insecure like you guys to try to dictate to our sisters (or brothers for that matter) who they should date. It's a free world, remember. @Van Snickers, thanks for the link. It's quite revealing. Mr Ayanle, here are excerpts from a Somali girl. Defend yourself, oya I really hate being Somali, help? This just confirms a lot of things for me about the average Somali man's character. How deluded can an entire army of people be? SAD 1 Like |
