Health › Re: Pharmacists Are Quietly Preventing Medical Disasters Every Single Day by Marigold2rock(m): 2:31pm On Jun 04 |
Hedonisco: I find that experienced pharmacists are more important than a lot of doctors, especially in non-surgical cases.
Many doctors in this country have caused an awful lot of unnecessary deaths. Please for the records Medical training is intentionally broad and holistic. Physicians are trained to take a patient's history, perform physical examinations, formulate differential diagnoses, interpret investigations, make clinical decisions, manage emergencies, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and oversee the overall treatment plan. This is why even relatively junior doctors are expected to assess and manage complex clinical presentations. For example, consider a patient presenting with a PCV of 15%, features of anaemic heart failure, altered consciousness, or complications of chronic liver disease. Or a patient with features of complicated malaria like an acute kidney injury, jaundice . Or a Sickle cell disease patient with a VOC. Remember these are all non surgical cases. Where and how do you expect a pharmacist to start from for crying out loud? Oooh the pharmacist will go ahead and give medications right? The immediate priorities of a Doctor involve clinical assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, management of complications, and coordination of care. These responsibilities fall primarily within the physician's scope of practice. Please let's learn to be balanced when we are making some of this statements or assertions. The truth is that I respect the role of pharmacists in healthcare. Their expertise in pharmacology, medication optimization, drug interactions, adverse effects, dosing adjustments, and medication safety is unmatched. Modern patient care would be significantly compromised without their contributions. But you see this statements of an experienced pharmacist being more important in patients care apart from surgery , make ona just leave dis matter. An house officer will see or recognize what a pharmacist of 30yrs experience will never recognize in their all their practice years. |

geoworldedu: All the teams in between are fuke fuke. They can't even lace the shoes of Aston Villa. The other side of the fixtures have all eight tough teams. Imagine, Arsenal can't meet any of Bayern, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Atalanta, PSG, Real Madrid until only in the final. No because juju be that? That's the benefit of coming up top in the group stage. So Arsenal are reaping from the fruit of consistency and hard work. |

SmartyPants: And you think that's all there is to it?
In all of those years didn't you notice how he never mentioned what he did to get those boys back until 2017? So it took over 10 years before he developed that strong interest in seeing his boys?
Also funny how he doesn't mention what the "normal family problem" it was that led to a woman packing her four kids to go and struggle on her own for 10 years.
In fact from the narration you can see that they stayed with him at some point when they needed to do their passports. According to him, he was "nice to them"...as though they were guests that he was receiving cordially.
In all he said, did you see any effort to reach any of the other brothers apart from Calvin?
Once tribe gets involved all sense of justice and fairness gets thrown out of the window. On a more Serious note the father has pertinent questions to answer. No woman would leave her marriage with 4 children to bear the whole burden herself just because of trivial family issues. In most case scenarios the woman abandons the 4 children with the husband and elopes with a more wealthier man to start another family. |
Sports › Re: Calvin Bassey’s Father Begs For Reconciliation After 18 Years by Marigold2rock(m): 9:58am On Jan 27 |
Dogalmighty17: Only an evil woman will deny children relationship with their father. It doesn't matter what the man did, so long as he is still willing to remain in the life of his children, the wife has no right stopping him. She even went as far as changing their surnames to hers.
That said, the father's story should be taken with a pinch of salt. Did he approach the courts regarding custody or the courts mandating that the wife allows him spend time with his kids? You can't really have a say until you listen to the woman's part of the story, the children's part of the story and the fathers part of the story. Yes I obviously understand that most women can be so manipulative when it comes to manipulating their children against fathers, but however they were several avenues the father would have reconnected back to his children years before now. We are talking about 18yrs of a single mother Taking care of 4 wild testosterone without the support of a father figure. Any mother would do the same. Besides the children were watching and they know the main player as far as their upbringing is concerned. |

b2strike: Concocted news. POS operator snapped one of the soldiers ATM card and withdrew money, they came to investigate and the criminal POS operator called his syndicate at EFCC. The soldiers then went to report at EFCC office the act which an EFCC staff was aiding. The EFCC quickly changed the story and arrested those innocent Soldiers and detained them for 5 days before it got to show of force. I expected those soldiers to grab the EFCC female commander and suffer her like a day one clawns so they can know the difference between the Military and Civilians At least this is someone that knows exactly what happened. The EFCC female commander messed up big time. Even if there was to be a case of fraud , you took military men into your custody without notifying their units or the BSG commander? Where does it happen for Gods sake. Instead many uninformed people on Nairaland will come here to be spilling what they have no idea about |
Politics › Re: EFCC Releases Seven NAF Personnel Linked With Internet Fraud by Marigold2rock(m): 7:09am On Nov 18, 2023 |
It's sad that the EFCC would reduce themself to this level. The said NAF personnels went to an eatery in Barnawa to eat , few hours later they received an alert of 60k which wasn't part of their bill, so they went back to storm the eatery to ask why they should receive a debit alert they didn't do transaction with. They later found out that the person in charge of the POS had a picture of their ATM card in his phone. Meaning the NAF guys were defrauded instead . EFCC wa invited to the scene where they assaulted the NAF guys and took them into their custody.
NAF came to secure the release of their personnel only for EFCC to invite other security agencies .
Truth is that this is one of the dangers of a one sided reportage. |

[quote author=olakan22 post=126184941]Forgetting surgical materials when a surgery is done in a fairly good center is very rare and is unlikely the case here.
What lawyer is calling cotton wool on MRI is likely an abcess. No qualified radiologist will say he saw cotton wool definitely on MRI.
At least here is someone with a clear understanding of how the medical practice works. Not people with little ,half baked or no knowledge about the subject at hand coming to give their unsolicited opinion.
What is "appendix not matured ", cotton wool seen in an MRI report? How na. What if it was a ruptured appendix with it's sequael of complications like peritonitis and sepsis b4 presenting to the hospital as a last resort. By the way most diagnosis of appendicitis is clinical not via imaging as most radiographers report.
I feel so sad for the deceased and the family she left behind , no one deserves to die dis way if actually this story holds any fact.
The case should be investigated properly, not scape goating the doctor alone while the peri- op nurses and the other theater nurses or technicians who are actually responsible for assisting and keeping records of the number of items used for each procedure going home Unscathed.
Also so disappointed in one of the supposed pharmacist write up trying to castigate doctors and their prescription, maybe he has never heard of the word exhaustion. Truth is that almost all doctors are exhausted in this country.
Just my humble opinion |

NaMe4: This may be difficult to prove as a 'scan' cannot ascertain whether the kidney was removed during the appendectomy, especially if the woman had no earlier scan proving she indeed had two kidneys.
There are individuals with one kidney (renal agenesis) and may not be aware of it until discovered during an ultrasound or CT scaLn. No way bro The job of a doctor is quite different from that of a nurse, as most decision making is by a doctor. While the role of a nurse is also different, however symbiotic . As they will say , uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. That's why a nurse from school of nursing plays same role with dat of a university skill wise. |

But it's easier for a Nigerian Nurse to migrate to UK via work visa than for a Nigerian trained Doctor. And when it comes to US and Canada, it's almost impossible for Nigerian trained doctors to practice there without going through lots of hurdles unlike Nigerian trained Nurses, so I don't see why a Nigerian trained Doctor should be prideful to her spouse, honestly Nurses even have brighter chances than Doctors in Nigeria with lesser stress and resources lol |

Judging from the busy schedule of medical doctors, how do you guys take care of the children? What are the biggest challanges you face in your marriage?
I am currently dating a medical student and plan to send her abroad immediately after her studies. I like and I love this babe so much but she’s always demanding financially despite being a working class and I am only surviving on 45k job here in lagos. I have target and ambition for my life and everything is placed on this my job. So, I have a proportion of my income to be saved for this my ambition but since I met this girl, I never have anything called savings again while I still go on borrowing to satisfy her needs.
The most painful part of it all is that anytime she asks of anything and I’m not capable of what she asked for, she will first block me on Whatsapp and drop a breakup message. I will be the one to call and persuade her and when she feels like to unblock me she will do that.
But now, she’s asking for salah cloth and I don’t have the amount she’s asking for. I told her I don’t have the money for now while I told her that I don’t know what tomorrow will say and as soon as I said this, she dropped the breakup message as usual and block me on WhatsApp.
Please Advise me on what to do as this is getting on my nerves. A right thinking man should know what to do before bringing it here . u mean u borrow to satisfy a girlfriend? With a paltry salary of 45k. Pls drop that girl like a bad habit , she isn't worth the stress bro. |
