Has any of those awaiting an update on their admission from Conestoga College gotten a reply on their application? My application has entered the 9th full week already and I've still not heard from them.

I'll advise you to convert your CAD to USD. Never make any attempt to convert it back to Naira. Also, if the money you used as POF is in naira, please convert it to USD. Better to be safe than sorry because Nigerian economy is too unstable.

Good day guys.

I got denied canada study visa in January.

I have just gotten back my 10,000 CAD tuition deposit and I don't wish to re apply until after one year

Will you advice I change the CAD to naira due to this fluctuation of naira and dollar, or I leave in CAD.

I am scared if I leave it in dollars in my account it might depreciate badly before the time I want to re apply.

I also need advice from people .
I am an Auditor. Which country outside Africa can I migrate to with 10,000 USD.

I applied to Conestoga since January and I'm still awaiting a verdict on my application. I checked the OCAS portal a few days ago and saw that I was placed on waitlist on the 2 optional courses I chose, while no decision has been made on my course of preference. Within this period I have already applied and gotten admission to study in the UK and I think I'd just take it, despite not liking the UK. My siblings and friends who live in the UK are telling me to rather wait for Conestoga verdict than to pay for the UK school tuition deposit because of upcoming UK study visa rules by the home office. Even though I understand their concerns, my home ties to Nigeria isn't even strong at all if I apply for a study visa to Canada. I can afford the cost of relocating to Canada myself because I have always wanted to relocate out of Nigeria so I planned financially for years. I refused to acquire any property, cars, and get married that would limit me when the time comes to leave. I'm also above 30.
My chances of getting a study visa is better currently with the UK than Canada, which makes the whole waiting for Conestoga verdict a waste of my time. With the news and rumors of how Conestoga College is badly run academically and administratively, also the housing and living crisis in Canada, I'm just like is it even worth it to go there for a PGD, when I can just get a master's degree in the UK for the same amount.

Sorry to ask, how long did it take Conestoga College to reply to you with an admission offer after you applied?

Biddieg:
Hi everyone, please i have questions and I also need help 🙏🏽. I got a one year pg certificate program in Conestoga. (Broadcasting performance and digital media) for May 2024.

Though I have paid the acceptance fee and about to pay the first semester school tuition. My question is about PGWP ( will I be able to get that for the fact that it’s a year program)??

I also need someone to help out on my SOP and other documents please🙏🏽. Bank statement for both I and my sponsor (my husband) is ready. Pardon my long write up please 🙏🏽

The business admin program you graduated from 10 years ago or there about shows that you have a long Study Gap.

To show career progression as a Product designer or if you have been into related jobs for the past 5 to 10 years , it's will be ok and convincing for a Canadian Visa Officer if you go for Post-graduate certificate programs such as UX/User Experience, Interactive media/animation etc. at Canadian colleges

But if there are Business Management components in your work experience, then you can go for a PostGraduate Certificate in a Business related program.
Thank you boss

You can leverage on your decade of experience to apply for a Post Graduate Certificate in a Program at a college related to that your decade of work experience (Career progression).

That being said,

What did you study in the University?

What is the title of your Job and job duties?
I studied Business Admin, but I work as a product designer. I'm thinking of studying interactive media or animation, but I was told it is easier for me to get admitted into a business related course.

I'd like to study a design related course like Animation, and interactive media, but I was told that my grades are only suitable for Business management related courses. And only 2 colleges are likely to give me an admission because of my grades.

It depends on the program you want. A bit more details would help experts in the house to advise correctly.

Hello Everyone here,
I met with some travel agents and I was advised that my Uni grade (3rd class. 1.65 CGPA) was too low to get me admitted into a program of my choice at any college, despite having almost a decade of professional experience in it. Is this anyway true? I'll be glad if someone can share their experience if they have encountered something like this.

I graduated with a 3rd class from school but I'm very good at web development. I want to apply to some colleges in Canada and I have chosen some schools in Ontario like Seneca, Canestoga, Durham, and Humber colleges. My question is, can I get admitted to any of these schools with my poor Uni results?
