The in-form Arsenal striker picked up a thigh strain in the final stages of the 2-1 win at Watford on Boxing Day. It is on the opposite leg to the one suffered by the Togolese international at West Brom earlier this season. However this one is ill-timed given that Thierry Henry is also missing with a hamstring injury.

On the upside, the tight hamstring which forced Johan Djourou off at half time at Vicarage Road is not considered too serious.

“Djourou is injured a little bit but what is worse that we lost Adebayor with a thigh strain,” said Wenger afterwards. “It is exactly the same but on the other leg. He will be out for Saturday.”

Drogba has been okay this season no doubt. But he couldn't claim to be better than a Thierry Henry that has not even played much this season,

had it been the both players were active for their clubs and he was putting up this form and henry wasn't then no doubt i would personally declare him better, so the man should stop all this braging and shut his mouth up.
