PoliticsRe: Hijab Crisis: Kwara CAN Releases 1974 Agreement With Govt(photo) by MARS1(m): 12:03pm On Mar 19, 2021
Ephemmm:
Giving them the right to wear hijab in schools with Christian orientation is not the problem, the problem is the resultant consequences.

If this resistance is not taken with all seriousness, I can bet it that they would request for space to build mosque or creating prayer ground inside the schools' premises in the nearest future.
If they're given the right to wear hijab in Christian schools, it's certain it's for a sinister motive, soonest, they would request to build mosques or prayer ground inside such Christian schools, by then, it would be too late to fight back.

1. This was just a speach by the military governor, not the law enacted to change the status of the schools.

2. The speech was delivered in 1972 not 74. I assume ( Not sure) the last time schools status were changed was 1974.

3. If these conditions were still relevant and backed by the law, where did the high court and appeal court get the legal backing to rule in favor of hijab?

4. Why are Christians afraid of hijab in a predominantly Yoruba state like Kwara?

There's no basis for any Christian to condemn hijab in Kwara state due to the following reasons:

a. Kwara and all Yoruba States has no record of hijab wearing suicide bomber.

b. Hijab is not new to Christianity. Catholic sisters wear something very similar.

c. Hijab depicts morality, is Christianity no longer a moral religion?

d. Hijab is optional even to the Muslims, no one is forcing the Christians to wear it.

I AM DONE TALKING
The christain schools said they don't want, simple!!!
Take your hijab to Muslim oriented schools and let peace reign, what's the big deal about that. It's norm if government grants aids to these Christian schools, if it's for the purpose to boost education in the state but if it's to create a panicky and unsettled situation, let them withdraw their grants and let the state know peace. If the government can't do this, then it brings to the conclusion that Muslims enjoy where there is chaos and anarchy. There are hundreds of schools in kwara to attend that you can wear hijab even private schools, why choose Christian schools?

Lastma own sef don too much for lag.Everybody dey para for this regime due to the hardship being experienced. If them like make them continue their harassment,na more of such stories we go continue to dey hear.
Stop been irrelevantly petty and childish. I'm sure if you read through the post and understood it, you won't be vomiting bitterness from your mouth. The country is hard, but are the officials of lastma making any government policies? Don't you know the road to governments offices and register your displeasure? The recklessness of drivers on Lagos roads is alarming and a need for them to be checkmated can't be over emphasized.

TravelRe: Lady Gets Deported For Traveling With The New Nigerian Passport (Photos) by MARS1(m): 9:47am On Aug 22, 2019
The Lady ought not to have been deported had the govt of abu dhabi wanted to be professional, considering we have our embassy there, they could have contacted our embassy to confirm the veracity of her claims and authenticity of her passport. Could anyone have traveled with illegal passport and cleared from originating country to even country of interest and even landed, cleared at the airport? i feel something is fishy. There are some nations whose embassy are not in Maldives, does not mean their citizens cannot travel to Maldives since they haven't been banned, there are ways these hiccups are ironed out and the immigrants are not suffered since they are legitimate travelers. I wonder how many countries in the world we would notify of our passport change, there are ways issues like these should have been settled. Reasons we tell people to be of good characters when they travel out instead of looking for local politicians to harass when they travel abroad making intl travel somehow difficult for locals.
