shalomp: He said he can bring me over there but not as his wife, so that I can find my way. But I don't know what will be involved Like byvan03 said "stop blaming the other woman". Your husband is telling lies to both of you. Are you still interested in him after all these lies? Do you still want to join him? He got involved in shady and illegal deals, are you sure he is telling the truth, or just looking for another lie to cover a lie? Truthfully, if you're my sister, I would tell you to walk away. Forget the marriage. Its not worth going into. |

You haven't made any valid point. How do you intend to spend 14m on a 4 bedroom bungalow? Does it include land cost? People are commenting and telling you that it is expensive because they've had experiences, they've also read on this property page cheaper ways of achieving that. So what exactly is the 14m for? What type of foundation? With your explanation, we may probably see why its that expensive. |

However, You made it look like life is only about trying to be like dangote and the likes. The little things of life(happiness, love) are very essential. |

Mjshexy: As in for real? To your question, when we are less busy. Life is too competitive & global to sit at home all day playing 'Ten Ten' or all sort of games when people like Dangote are out there working tirelessly to monopolize the market. #Teamnotmarriedsha Bullshit! After making the money, what happens? Loosen up and have some fun. Enjoy the little things of life. |

I enjoyed those days(even though I was a guest and didn't register till recently). It was fun having those people around. Sexkillz and Ogugua love really was the envy of the Romance section, to the extent that Seun was envious too(the subsequent ordeal between them and seun is too childish to narrate). However, Sexkillz "moderator priviledges" really got into his head. He would slam you with a 50 years ban and tell you that nothing will happen(even if you report to Seun). Things have changed. I rarely visit that Romance section anymore. No longer that interesting. |

ifyalways: What took them to prison?
You do the crime, please do the time gallantly The Ghanaian police are fond of arresting innocent Nigerians, giving them high sentence of 50yrs 70yrs 100yrs 150yrs to 200yrs. Most of us have spent 8yrs 10yrs 15yrs 17yrs 20yrs inside prison and some have died inside the prison without completing their jail-term. |

brabus: Interesting! Life is easier when a simple gentleman agreement on contract can be honored.
A good contractor should bore the risk for all jobs done on site. Not the owner. So he has the right to choose what works for him. Likewise, the owner has the exclusive right to choose a contractor that can deliver a good job at his terms and conditions.
Owners have the right to supply all their materials provided scope of work clearly identify the responsibilities of the contractors and subtrades.
Here's the area I get confused. Why should the contractor provide an estimate for materials he's not providing? Aren't the quantity surveyor to handle such? Providing estimate for materials you're not supplying is a recipe for disaster because when things goes wrong, the contractor will have to take responsibility except he's lucky to have a compassionate client to work with.
For me, I like roles defined and responsibilities clearly spelt out from the very beginning. We don't have to do all jobs. The day lafolabi steps into the project, he has accepted the responsibility to make good all works done by the subtrades. Isn't that a decision that needs to be carefully addressed? Which I believe he did.
Till date, there's no one who can claim I rejected his/her offer to supply materials. We just need to be upfront and clear about who does what and who warrants what.
Oga Befto, I agree with you that there shouldn't be a problem with owner supplying materials. But to avoid conflict, it's far better you allow the tailor who measured you to buy the clothing materials and sew your clothe.
I had this experience with Wichtech in one of my project. They measured the house, gave the estimate and I paid them only for the installers to come back and tell me there's need for extra 30m. My response was "When are you finishing my work" Interesting. |

fr3do: No, you are the hopeless one I have seen numerous top notch nollywood movies, there is quality in the industry, and there is also variety, it would be a boring monotonous industry if these low budget comedies are not there.
Low budget films are not peculiar to nollywood, Hollywood churns out lots of them, I have seen them and they are horrible. Keep displaying your hopelessness. What percentage of hollywood film that you referred to are low budget? What percentage is crap? Comparing almost 90 percent of Nollywood films which are crap to about 10/20 percent of Hollywood films which are crap speaks a lot about your reasoning. |

fr3do: Hopeless miserable Nigerians will be taking out their frustration on nollywood that happens to be Nigeria's 3rd or 4th biggest export. You are the one that is hopeless here. Which frustration are you talking about? Its not about being the 1st or 4th in the world. Its not about dishing out meaningless and senseless movies. Its about quality. |

nigeriancuban: well maybe you have o ask the man who actually drew them,he should know those as an architect or engineer maybe he chooses not to apply them on the models...however the teen is not mine so I can just start writing something different from its creation aims..so what am I saying? you should pm me if you wanna know and I'm no gonna ask you to pay for anything okay.. I've gone through your criticism and still haven't noted your points. It seems you have an unsettled issue with the designer, because you are the only fellow to criticize his work in this regard. I'm wondering if you are the only one seeing what the other architects, engineers, builders and viewers on this form are not seeing. You are an engineer(as claimed) not even an architect. Your works are like one of the worst on this forum, nothing interesting or impressive about them. I then wonder what exactly you are criticizing in his work since your own works can't even measure up. Man, fix your house before you attack others. |

fippycbk: That's very true. Although I learnt from Ihebrooke, mahal has also been someone I've been looking up to for a very long time. And that beach house has one one mahal's features which I really loved, I couldn't resist. Thank you very much for your advice. I appreciate. Your love for a particular design does not mean that you should reproduce it and post it as "YOURS". Its still wrong and considered as plagiarism. |
Properties › Re: Architectural Masterpieces From Black Lake House by marsoden: 3:37pm On Oct 05, 2015 |
fippycbk: Beach House Design I've been following your designs as a guest for sometime now, but I just registered today. Your works are nice and commendable. I've downloaded most of your designs and I also have other architects works in my archives too; kkonsults, ihebrooke, mahal, etc. However, I noticed that you do more of copying people's work than being original in your design. You copy from mahal and also copy from ihebrooke. The "beach house" design that you just posted was copied verbatim from "Mahal". I believe that there is selective copying which is allowed in every profession, but copying other peoples work verbatim is plagiarism. Please start being original in your work. Remember some architects' works might be registered and copyrighted, hence you know what it means if you are sued for plagiarism. I'm just stating my concerns, hope you won't see it in another way. |
