Visa Alert! • 22nd February 2022: Application for the interview/application appointment • 10th March 2023: Appointment Email Confirmation for April • 6th April 2023: Interview Date/ Visa application submission. - Submission of required documents including A1 language certificate • 14th June 2023: Visitation of document verification officer • 9th November 2023: Document verification notification • 7th December: The immigration authority (Die Ausländerbehörde) requested for 2 documents. - Copy of passport data page / ID (Ausweis) - Informal signed declaration to start a family with the applicant, my wife. • 5th January 2024: Embassy requests for passport and travel insurance submission via email. • 11th January 2024: Submits passport and travel insurance to embassy. • 15th January 2024: Passport with visa received via courier service. Here are my tips for those currently at the brink of applying: 1. For spouses living in Germany, you can expedite the process by applying for "Nachbeurkundung" at your local Standesamt and submitting the required documents for verification. They have the capacity to kick-start the verification in parallel. This can be done while your spouse in Nigeria awaits the appointment date for the visa application submission. 2. The timing of attending the A1 German language course at Goethe Institute is crucial. It's advisable to aim for complet-ing the A1 certificate a few weeks after you submit your visa application at the embassy. Good luck to you all! |
I really don't understand the essence of the NFF at this point. I think the Super Eagles are just a waste of resources. They should just dissolve the squad and let only the Falcons represent us on the international stage. The Super Eagles are never going to win anything. Let the boys just focus on playing for their respective clubs and having multiple baby mamas all around the world as they typically do. |
DustnSheaButter:The only prerequisite that I am aware of to having the document verification process skipped, is if your spouse is in possession of the EU blue card. You might want to ask your spouse he/she is in possession of a blue card. Requirements to attaining the EU blue card in Germany: Applicants must furnish proof that they have a university degree and have been offered a job that would provide gross annual earnings for at least 56.400 euros. |
DustnSheaButter:Here are some tips to significantly reduce the processing time for your visa application: 1. Learn to patiently read and assimilate lengthy texts. 2. Carefully compile and cross-check all the required documents on the checklist that pertains to your application. Remember, no document is insignificant! 3. The timing of obtaining the A1 certificate could be crucial. You may want to acquire it as late as possible, yet early enough to avoid any timing issues. 4. Here's a relatively unknown tip: You can initiate the document verification process independently. You can kick-start it while waiting for your appointment, which currently has a 13-month wait time. This ample waiting period should allow you to have your documents verified beforehand. I hope these tips are helpful! ![]() |
FrauPosh:My wife had her interview sometime in April and the lawyer already completed the visitation round in June. We're currently waiting for the confirmation of the verification completion. Hopefully soon |
Iblessed09:Good luck! |
Iblessed09:I don't think it matters that much. I also have a German passport and work as a SW engineer for an automotive OEM, but yet the embassy are not making the process for my wife any faster due to that regard. The earlier you apply for the appointment date, the earlier you receive an appointment which for now is 1 year waiting time. The best you could do for yourself is go through the checklist and compile all the required documents before hand. You most likely would have it a lot faster if your spouse had a blue card (is a special residence title for foreign academics who wish to take up qualified employment in Germany) as this would have the embassy skip the document verification process. |
gudbadgal:Try midnight |
klodgirl:Hello @klodgirl Could you list the exact documents the Ausländerbüro asked of you on the 15th of Feb? You verification process seemed quick, did you start the verification process before your appointment date? |
Wilsonaire:I don't think your application got rejected because you married after your spouse travelled out to Germany for studies. Asides the checklist you are expected to fulfill for the family reunification, your spouse is also expected to fulfill requirements on his part. For the family reunification visa: Requirements (Applicant) - Application for family reunification - valid passport - current passport photo - identity card copy of the spouse - marriage certificate or proof of same-sex partnership - Proof of German language skills (A1) For the family reunification visa: Requirements (Spouse in German) - Identity card, passport or foreign home passport - Employer's certificate - Proof of income to ensure subsistence - Self-employed persons and freelancers: - Business registration or written description of the activity (if self-employed) * Certificate from the tax office (information in tax matters) * Current tax assessment from the tax office * Certificate of the tax advisor about the average monthly net income - Health insurance certificate - Certificate of living space and rental contract or purchase contract with indication of the square meter number - Proof of existing health insurance as of entry for the subsequent immigration - Certificate of residence (available at the Residents' Registration Office) The above requirements also have to be fulfilled on the side of your spouse residing in Germany, most especially that of the income and living space. A minimum of 1,480€ after tax is expected as income for two persons (your spouse and yourself) and the living space where he resides has to be sufficient. The description to what "sufficient" is has been clearly described. Sufficient living space must be available for family reunification with a foreigner (§ 29 para. 1 no. 2 of the Residence Act - AufenthG). Further § 2 para. 4 AufenthG: "The General Administrative Regulation on the Residence Act of 26.10.2009 speaks in No. 2.4.2 of 12 sqm and that ancillary rooms (kitchen, bathroom, WC) can also be used; a shortfall of this apartment size by about 10% is harmless. The term living space in the sense of the Living Space Ordinance also includes ancillary rooms such as kitchen, bathroom and WC." It is crucial that your partner fulfills the above requirements before your application could be considered on the side of the respective foreigners' office in Germany. I suppose if your spouse is a student as you mentioned, he has no provable sufficient income. |

MrCrackles:U talk shit!! Absolutely shit!! Where in the heck can you get an Audi A6 '99 model for 2,500 Pounds - 5,000 Pounds? 1 Pound = 1,16 € Euro (FOREX 13 Aug 09) excluding commission! 5,000 Pounds = 5,804.60 € So who in this world would release his Audi A6 '99 to you for that amount, bring it to you in Nigeria and sell it to you for who knows how much you're willing to buy? Try produce your own Audi A6 if this one is too old, You definitely sound like one that can't afford a bike, let alone buying an Audi A6! ask4double:This one is obviously not a buyer!! The price of the car is ok! If you're not willing to buy, click the next page! |

I've been a customer to Oceanic bank since Januaury this year, after series of pressure from my mum. I opened my account at one of their branches at Yaba. My first impression was, "is this a bank"? The workers were actually more than the customers and funny enough, there was still a very long queue. I was taken upstairs to talk to the manager and was also schocked when I got upstairs ![]() |

Sorry but the car is 800k last! ![]() |
equlibrium:Whats the problem with Manual transmission? We rarely drive Automatic transmission here in Europe cos there is no fun in it. The VW Golf 3 was produced mostly with manual transmission and since I've been selling cars, I've never seen Golf 3 & 1.8L Engine with Automatic transmission. Its quite rare! JosBoy4Lif:I've been getting offers for its sale but Nigerian preferably want the car for free. ![]() ikeyman00:Hello Iyke, send me an email ch_martins00@yahoo.de |
