Sunnypa11: The best formation for the current Super Eagles is 3-5-2! With the mentioned formation,Super Eagles held their own and looked unbreakable in the second half against a cruising English National team with some unravelled national treasures. Francis Uzoho is a done deal for goal while expectedly, William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun are important to the defence line. Joining the 'Oyinbo wall’ is a midfielder in John Ogu,It is very important to note that most of the defenders are right-footed including Kenneth Omeruo and the Israeli based Ogu is also as tall as Croatia striker,Mario Manzukic who will be an aerial threat all night. Balogun will defend from a comfortable right side of the defence alongside a mobile Tyronne Ebuehi just as Ogu who is very calm in possession will be giving Bryan Idowu a needed assurance from the left. Wilfred Ndidi will be winning the tackles as Oghenekaro Etebo create an industrious midfield zone to neutralize Luca Modric and Ivan Rakitic. John Obi Mikel big game stability and experience put him in an advanced and familiar position with lesser defensive duty in yet an important position. And there comes the mysterious dynamites leading the line together. Kelechi Iheanacho and Alexander Iwobi both ruined Argentina together in an unimaginable manner in the most fruitful Forty-Five minute of Coach Gernot Rohr. On display in Russia last November was pace, precised attacking passes, chemistry and top-class decision making. The aging backline of Croatia could suffer same damage and it must be noted that Iheanacho always enjoy a companionship upfront while Iwobi is magical in freedom and the formation gives the Arsenal youngster the popular suggested advance role infront of Mikel. SWITCH : John Ogu and Kelechi Iheanacho could both be replaced with Victor Moses and Odion Ighalo to switch back to 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 as the situation may require.
http://www.nigfooty.com/2018/06/super-eagles-most-underrated-mysterious.html why start Ogu and keep Omeruo on the bench, is not necessary...this could only happen if the coach switch formation during the game and Ogu started |

Bia, take ya time. is true na, nobody here likes Echiejile but no other better option for now. i remember when George abey was our undisputed right back even though he was not that wonderful and plays in the 3rd or 4th league in England |

daveP: I just wish we can try En imitate Brazil for a generation of nexuses.
Marcelo developed himself and no coach or manager can bench him save injury. Coz he changed the LB position till date, he and Alves. That's why I like the idea of Idowu getting to be a dribbler. Elderson may be a minus actually. But I expect he does play to instructions. This is his last and I expect he bows out well also. same for Mikel and Onazi wey dey claim 26years of age.
Put Balogun and Efe Ambrose side by side, abeg who resemble 29years old more i don't rule out Mikel continuing after worldcup, he might want to pass yobo and enyema record, his on 85 cap |

MetalJigsaw: English 3rd Division Side Plymouth Linked With Efe Ambrose June 10, 2018 9:09 am
English League One (third division) side Plymouth Argyle are being linked with Nigeria international Efe Ambrose.
According to Plymouth Herald, it is believed the club turned their attention to Ambrose who plays for Scottish Premiership side Hibernian following the possible exit of defender Sonny Bradley.
Bradley announced on his Twitter account on Friday of his intention to reject the Plymouth’s offer of a new contract and find a new club for the forthcoming season.
Luton Town remain the most likely destination for Bradley, but his departure from Plymouth means manager Derek Adams will be looking to sign a new centre half.
Niall Canavan has already arrived, following his release by Rochdale, but with Ryan Edwards the only other centre back for Plymouth right now, it is an area that will need strengthening.
Ambrose, 29, joined Hibernian last summer from Scottish rivals Celtic, and he went on to make 45 appearances last season, scoring three goals.
He has a year remaining on his current contract with the Hibernian.
He was a member of the Super Eagles squad to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Rockyrascal: oh this match comes back to mind; mutiu adepoju was my man of the match that day. we weren't formidable against that Spanish side they hard more possesion and controlled the game than we did. our saving grace was that we had a formidable midfield, all thanks to oliseh and mutiu adepoju. okocha troubled my nerves that day for he didn't live up to expectations, he was always making unnecessary dribbles and in so doing lost possesion of the ball cheaply. he couldn't even string successful long passes. Spain also fielded an agein team, the likes for hiero, zubizretta,Nadal e.t.c were in their late 30s I think only Raul and campo were the young guns then.
the Spanish national team as blossomed in football today because they made sport and industry there, while its a ministry here. Adepoju was wonderful in that match, recently i had garuba lawal saying we played 4-4-2 though the coach ask them to play 4-5-1 though i disagree...the formation was obviously 4-5-1, with finidi and lawal always joining the defense when they are on pressure. |

That was where I started having arguments and disputes against majority of them here.
Ebuehi and Brian where players 98% of this monikers fought against me when I first brought them to the attention of this thread.
So, why should I against what I fought for?

Cheating is doing something that is not right to win.
In football, it is doing something that is not part of the game to win.
So calling it part of football is nothing but a joke.

Okay, then no coach should ever say a player is not playing to instructions, because they are all allegations.

TheGoodJoe: “His problem is that he wants to dictate how we play in Super Eagles, he wants to tell us the system we’re playing is not good.
"Uche he has a very bad habit, that if you put him in the game he is not playing to instructions and he did that in the final of AFCON against Burkina Faso, he almost cost us.
“Again he did that against Zambia, in the second match when (Efe) Ambrose was given a red card. What we told him to do, he was doing the opposite."
Keshi added: "And if you don't respect your team mates and you don't respect the team, then there is no point. I know he cannot do that in his club, then why do it in the national team?
"I don't think I need a player like that in the team."
http://www..com/talk/topic,194944.0.html is still an allegation, Ik uche never had that kinda problem with another coach, but keshi was always found in a log ahead with different players. |

mind you not everyone you see in too positions have the knowledge to cope in such role...reason why many do have special advisers etc... no man has the monopoly of wisdom....
some of US here know somethings that many top heads don't even know.... so that keyboard coach of yours wasn't necessary.... and be better than Rohr was necessary?? let's talk football and forget who is better than our coach. intelligence is not about what you know but the ability to apply the knowledge you have. if we have not been given opportunity to apply what we know about football then we remain an analyst and not a coach and can't know more than our coach. is very easy to understand |
