24hoursreporter: The world of relationship is a complicated one. And #6.You Actually Gave Up Your Friends Just To Make The Relationship Work
It is always good to keep your friends closer to you. Irrespective of whatever relationship you are, you still needs friends. After all, they will always be there for you when things go sour.
And it could be one of the unavoidably regrets people have after a breakup if they actually cut loose of their friends just for the relationship to work, and still didn’t work.
Well, before you sacrifice your friends on the altar of relationship, take a deep breath and ask yourself does it worth it? Because your friends have been there for you, sacrificing for somebody you just met and will probably leave soonest isn’t always a wise decision.

diadem10: Osu and stupidity, very synonymous!
How does Awolowo telling Gowon if he let the Eastern go, the Western would also go equate to promising your useless Ojukwu? Lol.
Let me spell it out to you dunce that Awolowo was simply telling Gowon to also allow the SW go if he would let the Eastern go because it was your stupid Zik that included non-secession clause in our constitution. It was your stupid Zik that included the SW into 1 Nigeria and as such, Awolowo was saying if you allow Ibo to leave Nigeria, the Yorubas won't stay back. As simple as abc. How this statement to Gowon became some stupid promise to Ojukwu according to useless Ibos still baffles me today.
Yes, Soldiers had to feed but not at the expense of your kwarshiokor people whom the food was meant for. With this, we can say no one but your useless Ojukwu committed genocide on your people. bullsh!t , stop tryna hide cowardice awolowo wasnt saying if gowon "allows" the east to go he would go he simply said if the east went the west would go too, he had already made plans and told the world that the west was planning to leave along with the east but when the time came he caved like a coward now zik alone didn't make the constitution he had alliance with leaders across Nigeria and soilders have to feed even at the expense of the people because if they win then all the food problem would stop ,its like taking one for the good of all |

diadem10: Your Ojukwu committed genocide by feeding fat on the food relief meant for the civilians. None of the biafra army looked underfed at the time they surrendered.
Funny enough if Awolowo hadn't stopped the food relief, the war would have continued for much longer while the Ibo civilians would have bore the major brunt of it but as soon as Nigeria stopped sending the food relief, Ojukwu and his armies had no food to hijack and feed on and within few days, they surrendered.
As you can see, Ojukwu and his armies couldn't live on empty stomach yet expected the ibo civilians to live on empty stomach while the war continue to stretch on and on. What a selfish coward. soilders have to feed to fight u dunce and what do mean within a few days they surrendered ? do know history at all? ojukwu fought for independence of the Biafra people a fight for independence has never been cowardice , cowardice is when awolowo says proudly that when the east leaves the west will leave but when the time came he was too afraid to leave and instead decide to join the Hausas and fight Biafrans that is cowardice ! |

However, the irony remains that many of you are professing Biafra in name only while being the main beneficiaries of One Nigeria.

ItsMeAboki: What utter rubbish!
Nigeria was a true federation made up four regions where each region operated almost like an independent country with its own flag, foreign policy etc; developing at its own pace, using its own resources and charting its own destiny for its ppl (this was unfortunately what the Igbos destroyed with their coup and which everybody has been paying for).
The regions were also engaged in healthy competition where each fought fiercely to protect the interest of its ppl.
Your problem with the Sardauna was that he passionately championed the interest of the north and did not therefore open the region to southern domination; especially to those from the SE - much in the same way the southern premiers did not opened their regions to northerners.
Unfortunately the Igbos would not accept that (they wanted everything; their region for themselves and the north as well) so the killed him. we wanted the north ? the 1966 coup might have been a mistake but Biafra wasn't , if we wanted nothing to do with u folks is it by force? let my people go na lying about how Nigeria was progressing then , the northerners have always been tribalistic and always had an agenda , u can tell from what we see today , what's sad is that Yorubas are to busy attacking the Igbos to face the true enemy |

They almost wiped out all the leaders of northern and south western zones ....Ifeajuana snitched on Azikwe to leave the country ...no south eastern leader was killed including Okotie Eboh who was as minister of finance was an embodiment of corruption.
An IBO officer was a direct beneficiary of that coup ...Aguyi Ironsi
World wide the direct consequence of a coup or mutiny is death...Ironsi did not kill them ...he simply locked them up in the east ....he took no definate action for almost 6 months
If you were an hausa officer how would you feel ?
We all know what happened afterwards .... Ojukwu led the IBO nation into an unnecessary war that he was not prepared for .and set the Ibo nation centuries backward

Christianity Etc › Re: DOES ATHEISM MAKE YOU FEEL MORE LEARNED THAN CHRISTIANITY? by marvinsync(m): 8:39am On Jan 17, 2019 |
computergeek: As a Christian, I have no wish to drag 'learnedness’ with atheists. It's okay if you choose to see me as an uneducated, brain-washed fool because I believe there is a God who sees all and has His own unknown reasons as to why He allows what happens to us to happen. Bad things I believe bruise His heart, because the Bible did say He was hurt when His Son suffered in pain. And yes, I believe in the Bible, as self-contradictory as it may be, I choose to believe.
I am a Catholic. I believe in worshipping God and in honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, who is God. She pleaded with Jesus on behalf of the bride in Cana, and He did an incredible miracle, even though it was not yet His time, but anything for His sweet Mother. I believe in the efficacy of Her intercession.
I believe in ghosts, because if I said ghosts aren't real, then that is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, who is otherwise called Holy Ghost.
I believe there are three persons in one God. Though I don't understand it, I choose to believe.
Now, back to the main issue. An atheist will ask why God allows all those terrible things to happen to us. A Christian would say, to test our faith. An atheist would ask, why test your faith when your squashed legs or burnt skin won't come back to the way they were when you pass the test? A Christian would say, God has His ways and reasons.
My take is that, truly, as a human, I often wonder why these things have to happen. But I've learned, no, I've chosen rather, to never question God. It's a decision I made, deep in my heart, to accept Him as my Supreme Being, as my Champion, attribute things I cannot explain or understand to Him, because it's easier that way. I believe that God has His own way of choosing people who go to Heaven, no human on earth can predict.
I don't believe in all the complexities they attach to modern-day Christianity, I just believe in Jesus's law: Love. Love God with all your might, heart and strength, and love your neighbor as you love yourself. When you love God, you keep His commandments, when you love your neighbor, you share with them and give when they need.
Atheism and Christianity are personal choices. They come from your heart and soul. You choose one or the other. Nobody should be asked to explain this or that or why they choose to believe or not believe.
I believe in God, I believe in the mystery of the Trinity, I believe in the Blessed Virgin Mary, I believe in Purgatory, but most of all, I believe in keeping a clear conscience, and in love.
Bring the arguments on. I'm ready. Ishilove, get in here and drop your take.
