vr0xen:Exactly o! Simple solution, rather than spending all this huge available funds, why don't we all have a well-secured agreement with Tinubu to use these funds to deliver uninterrupted power supply, end insecurity and reduce fuel price down to N200, and in return we declare him winner without Presidential elections. How about that? |

It's appalling that this government continues to tow the ugly and rough-hewned path of policy somersaulting. How can progress be made in the country when we keep moving back and forth? I doubt that this recent move will benefit any importer at the end of the day. This arises from the fact that Dangote still has the advantage as per local producer and as such will definitely keep selling at lower prices until the marketers go bankrupt. |

wwwihy:One very big disadvantage of splitting Nigeria into pieces. These kinds of recognition won't be easy to get because it won't be called Nigerian. Guuuuuys, please let the country work, we can still beat the world. |

And to think that the recent bugdet included an unbelievable amount going into hundreds of millions for the same boreholes that His Excellency Peter Obi is constructing with a conservative amount of money. So who's the olé now? |
Jackanda1:I think the question should rather be: when was hell created? Was it created same time as heaven? Or was it after Jesus went to heaven? When really was it created for the devil and his angels before humans were later considered as partakers. |

This is a fat lie. Government fines government. Money is still with the government. |
What a pity! God is indeed using Tinubu to deal with these shameless abgadorians. What kind of people will fight, curse and kill others because they want the Presidency only to be the ones to be looting food after their man became president? What a shame indeed. They didn't even show simple regard or respect to the foodstuffs bearing Tinubu's name and picture. Karma hasn't started with you guys yet. |
MadeINchenzen2:Here are my thoughts Sin is transpression of God's law. Once committed one is guilty of breaking God's law and hence is cut off from God's presence, grace, mercy etc. And that soul is doomed for eternal separation from God which is the worst fate for anyone. Forgiveness therefore is an act of mercy God provides to save the doomed soul from eternal separation. It comes either with the consequences of the transgression (karma) or without consequences. It is evident then that while one can and should bear karma whenever it chooses to occur, same cannot be said of forgiveness whose lack places one in eternal danger. |
jesusjnr2020:The Bible's instructions are clear and need no modifications. You err by presenting your own interpretation of events instead of God's clear commands as presented by the holy apostles. You err by thinking that the church already existed at Christ's resurrection when in fact it would still take another 150days ahead, on the day of Pentecost. So it wasn't the church Mary told about the resurrection but Jesus's disciples. Take correction. I'll advise you to stop wrestling scriptures to suit your opinion, you don't know more than the Spirit-inspired men that authored those books. |
bmaster2000:You're very myopic and I won't be surprised if you're one of those agbadorians littering the whole place with selfdeceit. Your drug baron, certificate-forging president needs every agency that can help in bringing down the dollar naira exchange rate and Air Peace happens to be one of the best ways to do this. Idiot. |

Another one. There seems to be a kind of paradox in this insecurity issue. SW suffered it most under Buhari even though he got most of their votes and now the North who also voted for Tinubu seems to be getting its turn. There's a subtle competition between these two ethnk groups. |
You've got some talent in writing, I enjoyed every bit of it. Your story reminds me of the first and only time I ran into the NDLEA chaps around 2016 or thereabout. I had to travel down East for my parternal uncle's burial and I loathed the idea of asking village people where I could get weed. So I decided to buy a small quantity that I was sure would last me throughout three days stay over there. So the next day, I set out early and boarded a bummer bus at Jibowu going down to Owerri. While the other passengers and I were waiting for the rest passengers to arrive and fill up the bus, I strolled out of the park and lit up a joint. It was stl dark and there were less pedestrians on the major road that housed the park. I was already halfway through when the driver announced loudly that he was ready to roll. So I quenched the roach, put it in my breath pocket intending to smoke the rest when we get to Ore or Benin for a rest and some leg stretching. The journey was very smooth, no undue hold-ups and the few checkpoints we came upon were those of mostly police and army just needing the usual driver's tip. Everyone in the bus was enjoying the trip as the driver who must have been a religious fellow was playing some sweet Igbo gospel music all the way. We did stop at Ore but not to eat. The driver just wanted us to stretch our legs and relive ourselves if pressed. So we spent just less than five minutes making it impossible for me to relight my half-finished joint. We continued our journey. As we were approaching Umunede in Delta State, we were on top of a hill coming down and the road spread out before us looking like a long, black, shiny carpet. I looked infront of me and I could see two other Hummer buses far in the distant front on either side of the road. As we got closer I could see another vehicle, a white Hilux parked in front of the Hummer bus on the right. While our bus was about 200m away, a man stepped into the middle of the road and started to wave his hands at our driver, indicating that he should pullover. Every passenger started to, you know, started to complain in the characteristic manner we do whenever we sight these government officials. They were like,"wetin these ones want now", "we Don nearly reach where we go come down chop na im these ones want come dey stop us". So our driver drove the bus to a stop at the spot the official who by now we could see was an NDLEA personnel directed him. We could see the passengers of the other buses gathered together and talking among themselves and we also saw four other officials with guns ready. The fellow that stopped our bus came over and greeted our driver. Then he came around and pulled open the sliding door. After looking around the interior of the bus, he suddenly pointed at me to come down. Chai! My heart immediately skipped a two beats. At that moment, I remembered with horror that I had hidden the weed I bought in my backpack! My brain was still trying to find a way to avoid detection when the man inquired if I was the owner of the bag in front of me. I replied in the affarmative and he told me to bring it along with me. I got down with my bag and he took it and searched it. He found the small weed easily because I didn't really hide it, just put it among my clothes. I wasn't expecting anything like this could happen. He then asked me why is the quantity so small? Didn't I have some more for them? I just kept mum. And then he searched my pockets and found the half joint. Then he laughed wickedly and led me away to their parked Hilux. As we were going, he looked back and told the driver to continue his journey. That's how they pushed me into the back of the Hilux where I met another guy, probably from one of the buses we saw. My fellow passenger all came down with the driver and started to plead with the NDLEA men. They were told to continue their journey, that they have their man already. But they kept on pleading for my sake. By this time, the initial fear had started to wear off and I began to find my voice which had left me the moment I was asked to step out of the bus. So I joined the passengers in begging the officers but they just laughed. After about 10minutes of begging, they took me to one side and told me that if I wanted to continue my journey with my other passengers, that I should pay N50,000! That was when I knew that I was in deep shit, infact I almost poopooed on my body after hearing N50,000 when all I had on me was just N6000. I began talking to them gently while trying to negotiate the amount they asked me to pay. They insisted on the amount. Sometime later the driver came around and when he was told how much to release me, he also began to plead with them to accept a lower amount. At the end sha, they agreed to collect N20,000. I had about N25,000 I'm my account. So I begged them to let me transfer the amount to them but they refused point-blank, telling me that do I want to implicate them? I told them that I have only 6k with me on hand. After more threatenings and such, they collected the money from me. Of course the weed was confisticated. It was no small embarrassment when I joined the other passengers to continue our journey which was interrupted for close to thirty minutes because of error. I had to apologize for the delay I caused them and also thanked them for their assistance. And to make matters worse, there was this fine gurl that sat beside me that I was trying to befriend. Shame couldn't let me even look her again in the eye as I was doing before we encountered the NDLEA guys. I just relaxed back in my seat, closed my eyes and feigned to be asleep while thanking God from the bottom of my heart for saving me that day. As soon as we got to the park, I was the first to jump out, immediately walking very quickly away from the bus while looking out for the next vehicle to take me straight to my destination. Lesson learnt, never take unnecessary risks. |
I pity most Nigerians who are largely illiterates and are all the time in a constant and unrelentless state of unawareness. Add to this their chronic disease of short memory and you get the true meaning of hopelessness in its rawrest form. A couple of years ago, the world banking institutions were always warning us about how more than 80% of Nigerians were living below $1 daily. If I can remember the warning began during the Buhari administration and continued on until the clueless inglorious mannequin left the scene. When Tinubu came onboard, the percentage had increased to 90%! Yet, the clueless and ignorant horde of masses kept on as if everything was fine. Today, can we honestly say that we're not living less than $0..25 per day? Yes, since it's Nigerians are too daft to understand a simple explanation unless when accompanied or backed up with appropriate comparisons, let me make it very clear to you. If since 2015, the World bank and et all were telling and warning us that more than 80% of Nigerians are living below $1 daily, how much below that are Nigerians now living? Your guess is as good as mine. The honest truth is that everyone knows what to do to change the narrative but no one is willing to suffer or die for the betterment of the country including both the leaders and the governed. We are all waiting for the country to collapse finally and I don't blame anyone as it is the best posture to assume in this confused contraption that has never benefitted anyone. I don't care whether you're Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa, even if you're middlebelt, Edo or SS las las everyone will go back to their enclaves when this stunted giant called Nigeria eventually ceases to exist soonest. |
Coolestguy2023:I agree that the Igbos are pained that you yorubas are supporting a known criminal and certificate forger. Is it their fault? Or you forgot how this same Tinubu used his influence to demarket Jonathan in 2015 and thereafter brought Buhari who you all have maximum support to inflict pain on all Nigerians. For your information, it's not only Igbos that were disenfranchised. The North as well are not happy with Tinubu and the SW. You will do well to admit the truth: The Igbos have nothing to gain from Tinubu's failure but you don't have the right to condemn them after what you people did to bring in another disaster in the person of Tinubu to continue inflicting everyone (including you) with more suffering. I am civil towards you because you were civil. Leave the Igbos and other dissatisfied ethnic groups. They have the right to serve Tinubu the same thing he did to Jonathan. |
naptu2:Thanks for the correction, though they both look alike sha |
