Many Christians believe that the rapture will take place before the great tribulation(last three and half years to the end of the world), others are of the view that it will occur mid-tribulation and there are still others that believe that the rapture will occur post-tribulation. Whenever there is more than one opinion of the same object, then misunderstanding has caused it since only one view can be true. The same is true about the three different views concerning the Rapture. In reality, there is only one more and final coming of Christ Jesus which is commonly referred to as Second Coming and it will occur at the end of the world, its prophesied time of occurrence. It is this coming which will take place at the end of the world that all the prophets have spoken of and about. Enoch, Moses, David, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Hosea, etc they all spoke about this event. That the Lord or LORD(they are both the same God Almighty) is coming or cometh with His Saints(numbering tens of thousands times tens of thousands)! So the post-tribulation view is the biblical interpretation of the Rapture. However, this view does not in any way contradict Paul when he told the Corinthians that "we will all be changed in the twinkle of an eye" because he too was speaking of the same end-time event. While we are very grateful that God is keeping His promise to be with us through the tribulation, remembering His warning that we should keep watch, it may be quite catastrophic to our faith if we misunderstand what the Bible says. As in the days of Noah, so shall the last days be. As both Noah and the sinners were on earth just before the flood began, so shall both the saints and sinners still be here on earth when Jesus appears. At that moment, the door to the Ark was shut with Noah and seven others in it and the rain and floods began to destroy those on land. So also when Christ comes with the sound of the trumpet and with the voice of an archangel, at that very moment every saint alive and dead(though they were never really dead: John 11:25-26) will be with Jesus Christ in the air as Paul stated. This event is also known as the translation of the saints. So we see where the misunderstanding originated from. Whereas the pre-tribulation advocates are hoping to avoid the Great tribulation via the Rapture, it would be quite very catastrophic for them Christ tarries till the end and would most definitely push them to accept the Antichrist. The mid-tribulationists too are not immune should it so happen that Christ doesn't appear before the Great tribulation starts . Most of them will also unresistingly accept the mark of the beast out of disillusionment. Only the post-tribulation Christians will be completely immuned and protected against the deadly Antichrist until the end when Christ makes His appearance and Second Coming. That is when the Rapture occurs, in the twinkle of an eye. One moment you're fleeing from the NWO agents and the next Instant you're with Jesus and His saints in the air. Hallelujah! One more thing. The Adversary known as Satan is not someone you want to play with, I assure you. He's a destroyer, employing every means available to accomplish his evil aims. He's a master in the art of deception. The only safety is actually the word of God. Any omission or commission leaves a door open for the ever crafty and vigilant Satan to exploit and destroy. It is in the enemy's interest to have us lower our guard and think that the Rapture will occur just in time to escape the tribulation. It serves his mission very well. Let us not fall for his antics. Enduring to the end is the real test of loyalty and not halfway. I pray that many more Christians will have their views on the rapture amended and that we all may be counted worthy. |
I'm sorry Alhaji. During Buhari's tenure, you didn't complain, neither did you protest. So why are you now bothering Tinubu? I don't get these people walahi! My prayer is that these perpetually murderous parasitic head slammers do not constitute a big nuisance during the current administration. There's nothing more Tinubu can do for you after all the government aids and grants that was given to the North, after all the embezzlement orchestrated by only the north during Bubu's reign and after all the Fulani herdsmen killings in the whole country. |
BanjiHols:Tragic we did not get to see how his fatherhood would've turned out. |
Hardtotrust:A case of kettle calling pot black. Some people's hypocrisy reaches the heavens walahi. They blamed Emefiele and called for his head for the pains and sufferings he caused Nigerians through the shabby and thoughtless implementation of the cash swap policy. Now they won't say pim or condemn the government for the worse condition Nigerians are going through by his policies. Wetin change? Nothing. Governments change but the suffering of the masses remains constant. |
Is it just the police? Virtually all of government institutions are obsolete and muribond. We are still using pre-colonial systems in everything that has to do with government. The police is just a tip of the iceberg. |
MeineMutter:Hardly |
FreeStuffsNG:Be calming down nah, oré. You sef come dey talk like say you no be Nigerian. Politicians always have most supporters among their tribesmen than elsewhere. Yoruba support Tinubu, Igbo support Obi, normal. But your write-up no too bad sha, e make sense. Some of them are just too impulsive I know. |
Only a few spots on earth have remained invulnerable to the neccesity of money. The vast majority of the world's populace cannot do without money. They get it either from gainful employment or crime. And this is the main reason a lot of people are into betting. Hoping against hope, these unfortunate people spend their hard-earned money on a wish. A wish which never comes true. You see, in this game of betting, you must understand that the dealers won't want to expose themselves to loss. Therefore they deliberately mislead you by presenting unreal predictions by inputting inaccurate odds. And then mugu that you are, because no one forced you to enter a sport betting shop , will stake your money. At the end of the day you won't see both the money you staked and the expected winnings. It's all a game, an advanced kind of 419 but legit. Between the punter and the dealer there exists a wide gray area accessible to only the dealer. The only thing a punter has going for him after placing his bet is prayer or hope while the dealer has red card, throw in, penalty, 90min, VAR and suspension. The dealer has the upper hand and can influence the outcome of the game. So stop wasting your time and channel your energy and passion towards something more real. |
taylor89:By the time the stupid and greedy politicians have emptied the barrel, when Nigeria would have been bastardized beyond repair, then everyone will jejely go their separate ways. By then, no one will rally everyone from every tribe to revolt. |
Mmmm, Tinubu, if he will eventually rigmarole himself to remain president will have to give an arm and a leg to get Nigeria working again. |
MadeINchenzen2:Who should I address this to now? In this public forum there are great grand parents, grand parents, parents and children, all enabled by access to the media, thereby free to express their opinions in accordance with their life experiences. So I can never be in the position to judge Tinubu o, or any other person voicing their opinion. You see, it has never been in man's hand to judge another. Reason lies in the fact that there can never and has never been any same situation due to the inherent difference in the background and ongoing current predicament of individuals. But this is my honest view. With the way the SW is defending their man, Tinubu and the way the SE is blasting same man, know this and have peace, Nigeria can never ever be one. The SE will do the same as the SW if Peter Obi is the one there and the SW will equally destroy him with their own vitriolic condemnations no matter whatever good he does as President. Can you not see how we are finished? I mean the Southern people of Nigeria . We are completely lost. Shame on us for taking our eyes off the ball. I say again, shame on us. Everyone knows that the Igbo people are a major contributor to Lagos coffers, acting as the glue that joins almost all of Lagos socio-economic life. The Igbos generate between 20-40% of Lagos IGR ,on the conservative side. Yet without the humane and accommodating nature of the Yoruba people, the Igbo people would never have reached the heights they are so proud of today. Can't you people see that we're already okay? The SW and SE don't have a genuine reason to hate each other. You guys are complementing eachother. There's no reason for the tantrums. Let's appreciate ourselves. We cannot do without the other, no way as long as the entity nigeria is concerned. For me, I only see how far the SW and SE can go without the unnecessary beef, I'm sure you know what I mean. The Igbo's might seem boastful of their feats but that shouldn't be a reason to rub it in the face of their hosts. Neither should the Lagosians get incensed by some offhand remarks about Lagos being no man's land, Lagos cannot be transferred to the Southeast, not even with the collaboration of the billionaires shouting in Anambra or even the East as a whole. So why the hate? Una no get sense. In a world already far into the future where AI has taken over every facet of human life Nigerians are still arguing and fighting over tribal superiority. Misguided ignoramuses. Mtcheww!! |
iwaeda:Tinubu may have hit the ground running but he started his administration on a wrong footing. Coming right on the heels of eight years of crushing hardship, the recent policies that have caused an increase in the price of things are nothing but a display of insensitivity of a high order. While I wish whoever has the unenviable task of making Nigeria well the best of luck, I'm very certain that no one really believes Nigeria will get it right. The present generation with their 'I no send you attitude" will definitely hasten the country's demise as they are bereft of patience and understanding of doing whatever is worth doing well.. |
TokunboCarsOnly:It is neither. Every grown up Nigerian knows that Nigeria will never work. We are always looking out for number one which is me. We are all busy both the government officials and the common man, seeking and securing our interests until the unweldly behemoth of a country disintegrates on its own, a fate both Britain and France know will be the cummulation of their joint colonization of nigeria. |
Everyone knows that the ONLY people in Nigeria the British fear in Nigeria is the Igbo tribe. This fear is heightened by our alignment with the English-speaking part of southern Cameroon that go by the name Ambazonia and hated by the French. So the Igbo people are facing so many enemies( Yoruba, Fulani, Hausa, other minority tribes in Nigeria due to FG propaganda and brainwashing, Britain, France and possibly US). The Igbo tribe still thrives even in the face of these obstacles. Once the clarion call has been sounded, the Eastern people and the rest of the minorities that once constituted Biafra will coalesce and leave nigeria. Thankfully the Yoruba and Fulani are hastening that inevitable day by their continuous politics of exclusion. |
Obinoscopy:Very simple: 11:55am is the closest time to midnight. The rest will take longer than 12hrs 5min to reach midnight. |
blamingthedevil:To be honest, there's good reason for Nigerians to be more hopeful in this administration than the one that proceeded it. Take the international stage for instance, Nigerians certainly prefer Tinubu to someone that could neither comprehend nor proffer coherent responses to questions relating to governance. It's really a breathe of fresh air for me. But then Nigerians also deserve the right to be skeptical and unconvinced by the mere parroting of the same old format of Nigeria being blessed with buman and natural resources by our incurably dishonest politicians. Until there's a significant shift in the standard of living of ALL Nigerians and Nigeria itself seen making progress, the pessimism will not only continue but will increase to unimaginable proportions impossible to deal with due to accompanying dissatisfaction among present supporters. Finally, Tinubu has the most genuine excuse for failure to deliver on his promises. How? Well, Tinubu definitely has more right to tell Nigerians that the immediate past administration wrecked Nigeria beyond repair, which no one who experienced PMB rule can deny. In retrospect, it is really a shame that Buhari committed exactly what he blamed GEJ for, shame really. |
Naijalarry:“The President wants to network with international finance corporations, institutions, countries that are well healed that would facilitate or that could facilitate direct foreign investment into Nigeria,” It should be 'well-heeled' and not 'well-healed'. The editor should be queried, even fired for this blunder. |
I could write an epistle, several pages long regaling us with all that has happened from 1960 to the present concerning our effort to build a great Nigeria, a dream that seems to be becoming impossible with each new leadership that imposes itself on the helpless citizens. However I prefer not to tread that overbeaten path that has often resulted in renewed acrimony and consequent attendant disunity among so-called citizens. So to keep it very simple and short, my points will be rendered in bullet form, pls bear with me if it still turns out a long piece. 1) There was never and will never be a time the various people that make up Nigeria trusted one another, it was and still is impossible. 2) There is and never was anytime the leaders of the various people that make up Nigeria believed in the project called Nigeria. 3) Nigeria, as far as they are concerned, is just an entity that affords whoever gets power an opportunity to become extremely wealthy and powerful. 4) The people are only cannon fodder, Just a convenient excuse to appropriate the wealth meant for the citizens. In every government decisions, the citizens' interest has never been the priority. 5) The system is and has always been one of feudalism and whichever region or tribe gets the Presidency shouldn't be seen as nepotistic if it fills up every position with its own people only. The system encourages it. To pretend is to shortchange yourself. Infact you would be a fool if you didn't practice nepotism when others did. To do otherwise in Nigeria is not being wise. 6) From the following, the SE being the only region to have fought against the union is reaping the natural consequences resulting from that war. Conversely, the other tribes are not at fault if it seems that they regard the people of SE with a bit of wariness mixed with distrust, it's not abnormal at all. These other tribes have also been very accommodating to the SEasterners to an extent. Yes, it is true that their lands were paid for, still it is not an excuse to disrespect them in anyway. A complete break is therefore needed in its national outlook if the SE is to completely recover from that devastating war both economically, psychologically and politically. 7) This turn around for the SE will not be achieved by the numerous businesses/mansions established in almost every part of Nigeria while the SE region is left almost abandoned. On the contrary it is only when you replicate these things in the SE that a turnaround can be possible. Since the government has ensured slowed progress in the development of that region through policies, will establishing our businesses in other people's land's not compound the situation? So kudos to those like Innoson who choose to develop their land rather than abandoning it for a foreign land. By now it should have been clear that as far as making Nigeria great is concerned, it is just a slogan. None of those at the top is interested in making that happen. Instead they will make policies that will continue to cage the citizens especially those with little political and economic relevance. 9) Our current constitution which, as far as most Nigerians are aware, is very flawed and incapable of moving a complex entity like Nigeria forward due to ethnic, religious, cultural, social and economical differences. 10) In addition to all these is the shared interest UK and France, and US have in the cash cow called Nigeria. At the most basic level, for these countries and recently other lesser countries, Nigeria is a kind of ready instrument to shore up any negative economic situation that occasionally props up. An instance is the recent mind-boggling revelation that Nigeria has been subsidizing petroleum products for Benin Republic, Cameroon and possibly others for several years. This is the reason no President regardless of the tribe he comes from has ever bettered the lives of Nigerians. The interests of Nigerians is not the primary reason they are there, no. Other more important interests exist that must be protected. As far as Nigeria is concerned, this is the stark truth. It will continue to be plundered until a time will come when its existence will no longer be useful to both exploiters and exploited. And then the inevitable happens. Nigerians will continue to be the victims of Nigeria while the same Nigeria will continue to be a means of wealth for some. And as long as tribal and religious differences continue, disagreements will abound which effectively disenables any united effort by the suffering majority of Nigerians to take back their country. |
Reno just cannot get over the fact that he can never find himself in the corridors of power ever again. To him, it was like a dream! Omashe o. |
M4A1carbine:A comprehensive list of the most useless advocates of failure especially that MANNAGRILLS joker. |
post=123689973:Shameless person for the past eight years. Only animals will still come to Nairaland to post after constituting a total nuisance for eight years on this forum. As your darling daddy kept suffering Nigerians and you were supporting them, may your miserable 30k life be run the way Buhari ran Nigeria. Person wey no get one single shame. |
politicoNG:So basically Nigerians were fantastically scammed of untold billions, yea, hundreds of billions of dollars in four ways by known individuals who callously betrayed the trust Nigerians reposed in them: Election, Subsidy, Nigeria Air, School feeding program. If this realization doesn't wake Nigerians up, then nothing will. All of our bickering will eventually lead to real anarchy that the ordinary masses will be the worse for it while "your tribal lords" and their children will be very far away from any danger. Let our stupidity continue. |
Nigeria doesn't follow basic economic principles. What obtains in other saner climes doesn't happen in Nigeria. The abnormality is made worse by our complicity as citizens. You can imagine that just two days, in short the day after subsidy was removed, in a filling station with very long queues(both Jerry cans and vehicles) two customers were competing, vying to outspend eachother. The fools had quickly forgotten about the crisis and turned it into a game of some sort. Has anything's price ever come down after it rose in Nigeria? |
References1:I bet the idea was floated by an old-school timer. Meant to hook those old enough to remember with Nostalgia the booming days of Nigeria Air. And that's why the scam was immediately spotted. The present generation as well as the Google era we're living in now demands more sophisticated formats. |
Reno....so you're still like this? Change your ways before it's too late. |
I didn't support Tinubu for some reasons especially the Muslim/Muslim ticket which I consider treacherous but I have no doubts about Tinubu's ability to get things done. This is a man more able than the Ajala that spent all of our money being unaware. |
Who is the current Minister of Petroleum Resources? Never mind it doesn't matter since it's a position automatically reserved for who occupies Aso Rock. Nevertheless, I'm glad that a Southerner in the mold of Tinubu will have a considerable say in it's running. I believe Tinubu(out of his sense of proportionality) will attempt to restructure Nigeria in terms of resources. |
Can there ever be a person completely destroyed and lost due to inability to find himself more than this overgrown baby called Femi Fani Kayode? A national symbol of shame seen always begging for food? This guy's pathetic political history is or has been heading towards extinction as far as serious people are concerned. Someone who curses you today and sings your praise before dawn of next day. Mtcheww! |
The honest reality or truth is simply that we have got to the stage where a husband and his wife were making love openly in front of their toddlers whose eyes and knowledge have not yet reached stage of understanding, but are now having a problem hiding the necessary act before their same kids. Only this time around the kids are now at age of between eight and ten. Can they brazenly copulate in the presence of their kids who now know what is gwan? So is the situation between pathetic government officials and the now awake citizens of Nigeria. Nigerians are now aware. |
Janosky:Oga you too, how is it conflicting when the 1st, 2nd and 3rd letters of John all tell us that the way to know an Antichrist is the way he denies the Father and Son. Meaning that anyone who calls him/herself a Christian and at the same time denies the incarnation of God or that Jesus came in the flesh(Father and Son) that person is an Antichrist. |
By now it should have been clear that as far as making Nigeria great is concerned, it is just a slogan. None of those at the top is interested in making that happen. Instead they will make policies that will continue to cage the citizens especially those with little political and economic relevance.
