The trucks are manufactured in China and are heading to the Port for export to Nigeria.

Just wondering why we can't produce these trucks here (head and body) or at least the body, we have the capacity; what happened to local content?

Nissan Pathfinder 07 key showing the security feature (a car with a key inside) especially in the morning during the first start of the day, this is quite frustrating but after the first start it won't happen again, sometimes it takes between 30-1 hour try while some days it starts on the first try. . I have the option of removing battery head still this does not solve the problem..

Please what's the final solution.

I have been experiencing this binding tyre sound anytime I want to take a bend on my NISSAN PATHFINDER 2007 LE. It will be as if I hold on to the brakes and the tyres will drag for a while (seconds) before it releases the tyre.

This jas been happening for a long time without solution.

Pls I need your advice urgently.

CATALYTIC CONVERTERS VS FUEL CONSUMPTION: LETS END THE CONFUSION

Do they really reduce fuel consumption or are our mechanics ripping us?

Please this is a general discussion forum and strictly intended for learning and knowledge sharing.

Let's share out thoughts and argue professionally/maturedly

Please see some thoughts from global professionals below:

Thought 1
The catalytic converter opposes exhaust fumes. Removing it will make it easier for your engine to push out the exhaust, thus increasing your power output without increasing fuel consumption. The extra power will increase the efficiency of the engine, so your car will have a little better mileage.

Thought 2
But, while catalytic converters reduce emissions, they also reduce fuel efficiency. The back pressure created by a catalytic converter decreases the fuel thermal efficiency of an engine significantly. A fuel catalyst, on the other hand, both reduces emissions and increases fuel efficiency.

Thought 3:
Catalytic converter has nothing to do with fuel consumption. Its absolutely ridiculous asking an educated man like me to go and ask an uneducated kazeem about catalytic converter.

Fuel combustion process in engine starts and take place from the air intake manifold, air filter, injector, (nozzles) , plugs down to the combustion chamber and after the combustion process the waste products goes down to the catalyst, get filtered of toxic gasses before getting discharged through the exhaust .
SO SINCE ALL THE COMBUSTIONPROCESS HAPPENS AT THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER BEFORE GETTING TO THE CATALYST HOW THEN WILL ABSENCE OF CATALYST CAUSE HIGH FUEL CONSUMPTION as they do tell you? Dont be deceived, the presence of catalytic converter does not save fuel.

Is your truck a 4WD or 2WD?
If it’s a 4WD, pls check that your transfer case selector is in 4Hi or 2Hi or Auto. If all those are okay, you may be having a defective front axle or brake system.

For P0130, replace the Heated O2 sensor on passenger side at the top.

For P0011 check the oil in your truck if it’s low or dirty, then replace the VVT actuator. If it doesn’t work, check the timing of that engine.

For P0128, replace ECT sensor (coolant sensor).

Dear Nissan Professionals,

I drive a Nissan PATHFINDER 2007 LE,

My challenges: Anytime I want to make a turn or take a bend the car front tyres will bind like I applied brake and you will have the feeling like you are dragging the front tyres or that you are forcing the tyres to move.

I did a scan and this is the result
P0130, P0011, P0128, but am not sure the result is related to the problem.

Pls have you had the experience , what is the final solution Please !!!!

I hope you are aware of the radiator by pass needed for the transmission cooler of this pathfinder.

Use your VIN to check if it has been done for that unit else you will experience a rupture which would damage your transmission. An expensive fix.

A 2006 car with only 65k miles.. The car is 15 yrs old and it means the previous owner drove it less than 5k miles a year hmmmmmm.

Before changing transmission fluid make sure it really needs changing.. If the color is pinkish in color don't change it .. If it is black color definitely change it .. Changing transmission fluid when not needed can damage the transmission...

For your engine oil 5w30 is recommended .. For ATF not until you are 100% it needs replacement before I start looking for 1

Yes, the mileage is 65k + Everything looks new and funcntional , seat heater, slide chairs, ac, 6 loader CD, engine looks and sound new, 3 rows, new spare tyre etc
