The useless northern governors would never come out to condemn the atrocities of their brothers but would be the first to demand that the south east governors criticize and denounce ESN. Worthless Hipocrites.

The north has excess landmass. They can do all the open grazing they want there.

The most pressing need now is to restructure the country. Buhari can be life Premier of the northern region. Southerners that love the buhari kind of leadership can migrate to the north to enjoy it to the fullest.

Hi guys. Wow never knew there would be a day I'd be posting on this side of the forum. Glory be to God.

I'm finding my paths to spirituality. My goal has always been to establish a relationship, a Communion with God. Knowing that he is with me and hearing my prayers ...

But I've been struggling with Marijuana addiction. And the devil often use this addiction to remind me of how far I am from God's grace. Even in the middle of prayers .

It's unfortunate that I've made the habit a must do in my life and it is difficult to quit. Always thought a job could help me but I find myself using it as an escape to work stress.

I'm at a point where I feel that this habit is the only thing separating me from God's entire will in my life. I have deep convictions that I have a ministry to fulfill. I have faith that it will soon be a thing of the past , as I continually seek God's intervention.

Guys who has been in my shoes before? How did you overcome? How do you deal with the recurrent guilt ?

The fastest way to quit an addiction is to hate the thing/act you are addicted to. Easier said than done but very possible. I've been there. By indulging in the act continuously, you have created a hunger/need/craving in you for that thing that demands satisfaction/gratification even when you know you indulging is bad for you. The human body/psyche is like a mindless animal. How you train it is how it will go. What you expose it to is what it will desire. One of the reasons the Bible emphasizes on self control. By indulging in the act, you've exposed your body to some 'pleasure' (that wasn't there before and can be uprooted with conscious effort) it has come to crave even against your conscious will. That is why you see a part of you desiring it when you know you shouldn't be doing it.

The question now is: which part of you are you going to listen to? The rational part that knows this is wrong and should be discontinued or the part that is just after immediate gratification. Obviously, the former. You must not only desist from the act, you should also hate the act. You don't long after what you hate. Try training your mind to hate the act. Focus on its disadvantages. At least, this addiction is interfering in your walk with God and delaying your ministry. Try writing down the disadvantages and meditate on them as often as possible, especially when you feel you are about to relapse. Try to remind yourself the heavy toll this addiction is taking on you, how much it is taking away from you, spiritually, emotionally, health wise, in your career, in your relationships, your peace of mind etc. Try to dwell on these. Occasional relapses may happen. Don't let it discourage you. Everytime you relapse, try to find out the trigger and do your best to avoid it next time.

Continue to pray, asking God for grace. But you must find constructive ways to deal with stress, frustrations, boredom, anxiety etc that you use weed to gloss over or distract yourself from. Many addicted people have this problem of using their addiction to soothe/shield themselves from reality. Essentially the fear of facing one's fears. It is part of what makes addictions compelling. Your body will revolt with Withdrawal symptoms when you decide to quit the addiction. Stay steady. It will pass and the body will readjust.

You weren't born with this addiction. You lived without it before you got addicted and can live without it again. It is artificial and can be done away with. Each day you don't indulge it you take a step further away from it. It gets easier as you keep going forward.
