If we truly desire a Nigeria where merit takes center stage and peak standard is norm, we must set aside sentiments. Nigeria is in need of tough reforms and thorough purging in all sectors. Before you defend these teachers, please I would like to know if you would pay such crop of teachers to train/tutor/raise/teach/mentor your child for you.

It's why I like the way it's done in the Catholic Church. Banns of marriage are publicised in various parishes the intending couples have ever been to and anyone objecting to the wedding is expected to raise such objection weeks before the wedding. No one will be allowed to come on a wedding day to disrupt a wedding.

To be frank that tradition of asking if any body have anything to say or should forever kept quiet in a church wedding is very absurd.
I don't know where they borrow it from.
I want to get married why should you be asking the audience if they have anything to say

That is what gave rise to situations like this

I too am beginning to question how that ridiculous tradition came about. If this question is not asked during payment of dowry, why is then asked in church when both families have already agreed on everything? I think it's a dumb and divisive practice.

Real reactions cannot be preconceived. Just do your physical and spiritual best to talk/pull them out of it. Being gay is both a spiritual and mental sickness/dysfunction. It's not normal! There are no gays amongst animals. Why have some humans decided to debase themselves beneath animals?

I think ambode would be the best replacement for okowa though,cos Delta should have been wayyy ahead of Lagos but the fantastically corrupt fools that are in power

Being without a governor is better than having Okowa. Anyway my heartfelt sympathy to the people of Delta state. cry
