Beetobee: Stop spreading dangerous falsehood around. I as a Muslim, categorically state that there is no such thing; it only exists in dubious minds like yours. If there was such rubbish as claimed by you, the late soldier Mani(a Muslim from Katsina State), who was killed by a Christian sergeant while defending innocent civilians, would not have bothered to protect those people and the Church worshippers. Stop your viciousness! And so many other instances. Bottom line is that each individual has his own traits unique to him irrespective of gender, religious affiliation, ethnicity etc. People fail to realize that there are good as well as bad people everywhere.

There is absolutely no division between the Orthodox and Pentecostal. We are one body and one family rooted in Christ so carry ur division back to wherever you picked it from. I am happy you are tearing their garments of stupidity one by one. We must not keep quiet and let heretics spread falsehood as truths. Kudos, man. |

NtoAkwaIbom: Its so shameful that Jesus clearly stated in Matthew that tithing was the least of what we should be concerned of, but since it is the main stay of all this scaming pastors, they have to device all means to fight to sustain it, even though its evidently unbiblical.
In Numbers the Levites specially set aside to be the only ones to act as mediators between God and the isrealites, and their pay was the 10% which was given them, as God didnt give them any other form of inheritance. From their tithe they(levite) were to pay 10% from all of it to the High priest.. And after 3yrs they were to give back some to the people to use it in bying whatever they needed.
Jesus however came in and bridged the gap, back then all supplication were to the high priest, who then offered burnt offerings to God. But Jesus came in and Sacrificed himself, so that through him, all men could connect directly to God...thereby doing away with the need of the levite.
In Romans, the word of God says that we are all called to the Royal Priesthood to be Priest and Kings. Thus we all our priest, and the only 10% we need to give is to God directly. Back then it was by burn offering... But When the rich man came to Jesus to ask how to make eternal life, Jesus told him to sell his riches and give to the poor.
And today, Jesus Christ does not demand for Just 10% of us, He demands that we give our body, and soul to God, and to him alone.
So all these noise about tithing is kind of silly, as it is alien to Christianity, as neither Jesus Christ nor his disciples demanded of them... It was for the Levites, and to them only. So stop fighting or trying to win points for all these yahoo yahoo pastors, that have disgraced the church by Monetizing everything ....
Drops Mic Noisemaker. So it's your body they will use to fund projects?

davodyguy: Op, forget this long epistle.
Get it clearly. I am a christian and have been all my life from when I could cross the road and read and write.
No one is against giving or against the church. What people are against are the flamboyancy that is being blown around today, without true reflection about the lifestyle of Jesus Christ.
The is supposed to be a charity organization from inception and Levites are not supposed to work or establish Universities, operate airlines and sell books to make more money.
How did Paul, Peter and other apostles in the bible fund the missionary works and Journey? Did they do it through what we see now?
That's exactly what is bringing the 'attack' against the church. The other day, some workers/ elders stole N11millioin from RCCG, cos they knew there was so much money available to the church, yet millions are hungry and have no place to rest their head at night.
Yes, the church is involved in charity works, but what's the % of the income that they use for charity? Church should use minimum of 70% of income/giving for charity and the rest for the church workers. If we do this, then you would not fi d pastors with private jets or flashy cars.
I am a tither and would continue to pay tithe, but some other things, I will not do
A certain billionaire Nigerian that's my client told me something last year, 2016. He said we give to pastors, give to their families and to church, but how many Nigerians have received from their pastors ordinary gifts for birthday and wedding or burial. The man told me, the pastors would say, they'll support you in prayers for your events or occasions, but they will never give you tangible gifts or ordinary card.
Is is so true. I'm yet to receive birthday gift from any pastor, apart from text messages prayers or WhatsApp message. Ask yourselves, are they exempted from the doctrine of giving? But they can give their wives N30m You are no Christian.

avalontony: The most acceptable offering is our heart......... You can give all the money in the world to the church and still go to hell. The most important question we should ask ourselves everyday..... Is "how real is Jesus in my life?" Offerings are needed to run church assemblies. Bonnke did not organize an offering-free crusade because he is the kindest preacher around. Simply put, offerings had already been given for the crusade by people who know that it takes money to fund church events. The financial and the most important spiritual blessings of the crusade belong to those who sponsored it. Nothing is ever free! Salvation is free because JESUS paid for it! |

Christianity Etc › Re: Reinhard Bonnke: "We Don’t Collect Offering At Our Crusades" by mastermaestro(m): 9:59pm On Nov 10, 2017 |
delpee: You made a point. However many churches need to wake up to their responsiblities. The old churches still have mission outreach programmes, hospitals/clinics, widow and orphan support, youth empowerment, prison and hospital ministries, children rehabilitatation ministry, elders forum and schools. These are all funded by the church from tithes, offerings and dedicated donations.
Proper accounts are rendered annually to the whole church and questions raised are addressed. If other churches toe this path, there'll be less outcry against the church. No one can bring down the church anyway, except God so desires. Many churches are doing their best. The financially buoyant churches are very few. Many still do missions and offer charitable services to their members and communities. That you are not aware does not mean it is nonexistent. Churches don't need to broadcast what they do for the world to approve them. Truth be told, most Nigerian churches are very poor financially. Getting the assembly open on a weekly basis is a cross many are carrying. |

Reference: He is an Evangelist not a Pastor. He has no flock so needs no offerings. It is not the same thing as running a church. Evangelists aee like midwives. They take delivery at new birth, but it takes a mother to raise a child and tell me it doesn't require funding. It's only a few people that actually understand Christianity and church management. They think it's paper and sand one uses to run a church. That a few pastors flaunt wealth is not a true reflection of the hundreds of thousands of pastors/shepherds who are struggling to keep local assemblies open every week with little or no financial support from their tiny congregation. Many expect pastors to copy an evangelist who leads souls to CHRIST and then goes to sleep, leaving the real lifelong task of nursing those souls for pastors to sweat about with its daily and weekly financial, spiritual, psychological and emotional commitments. Abeg I nor fit type again. There obviously are too many ignorant children in Christianity. Thanks bro for the awakening. |

Please try to read all,
There is this girl I've been dating for few months now. Her beauty is one of a kind, she is down to earth. But she lemme know she has a boyfriend, I said no problem. We started getting along, we do things together, walked together, party together. In fact she never wanted me to do anything alone.
She started loosing interest in her boyfriend. She hardly pick his calls, they argued on phone everytime. Things started falling in place for me until her brothers infact everybody told her to dump me. They said the guy love her blah blah. The pressure was on her then one night she told me we should break up. She cried out her eyes, I told her I'll be fine so she would stop crying. The next day I started crying, I couldn't handle the break up. I cried like a baby. I was depressed,If not for God and my friends I almost commit suicide.
She said we should get back together that she can't live without me. We got back together again that's when the problem started. The relationship is now very strong now, I started feeling jealous and insecure. We spent more time together than before. We are still in our early 20's. I'm getting obsessed over her. I used to dream about her every night. I always check her FB page every minutes to see her new post. I used to call her and text her all day. I'm not myself anymore. Her image is always on my head every seconds. I'm not serious with anything again expect her. I'm always afraid I can't find someone as beautiful and perfect like her. I'm scared she will leave me one day. I always used my last money to get something for her just to make her happy. I'm even thinking about her right now.
