damosky12: My dear, calm down. You don't know as much...
Christ is the HEAD of the church. Not the whole. Eph 5:23
Jesus worshipped at the temple. Yes! That was in the era of the old testament. Temples still played a part. After he died and resurrected, the New Testament was birthed (Heb 9:15). That's why the veil of the temple was torn at his death (Mark 15:38). That's why the Apostles said, concerning the new testament:
Acts 17:24 [24]God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
In the new testament, the Christian is God's temple.
1 Corinthians 3:16 [16]Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 6:19 [19]What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
When we go to church, we don't go into a temple. That's why a church could hold in an hotel hall.
The new testament church is meant to build and raise the Christian. Not a temple. I can't engage you because are not intelligent enough to stay within topic. You keep veering off like a pendulum. Now you have veered away from why I engaged you at first to trying to teach me how CHRIST is the Head of the church and we being the temple of the HOLY GHOST. Just because you couldn't stand the evidence I put before you of people selling all they had and donating it to run the church, build temples, you started a new topic all together. I wonder where these New Testament apostles went into to pray, maybe they went into your body (Acts 3:1- . Let me leave you with this final knowledge to cure your chronic ignorance which seems to be born out of self-righteousness. The only time when Christian believers will no longer need a temple of worship will become irrelevant and nonexistent is when we get to Heaven (Revelation 21:22). Now you see that you just told a lie by saying that the need for temple ended in the Old Testament. Please read your Bible well before going about to spread ignorance with confidence for worthless virtual likes. Please be reminded that we are still talking about huge donations to the church in a world where there are poor people. |

sinceraconcept: a young pastor with private Jet,mansions and flashy cars. the man has bastard jaz. God. you need to see some of his videos on YouTube. in one of them,he was walking on air and no film trick or camera effect,in another video,he called in ghosts in all white,they are very numerous with the way I saw those ghosts they could'nt have been less than 100 in his church,even though he called them angels but they look like ghosts,as he told his church members see angels and when many of them set their eyes on the ghosts,the prayers started pouring heavily,some church members almost ran mad,some were crying,some women let their hair loose and held their heads real tight,some fainted,some just fell to the ground really weak. even me myself that was watching the video was so scared. I still have the video in my computer though. Is the video on YouTube? |

sucess001: So God kills the miserly givers?
And the scripture u quoted on the alabaster issue...dont u realise its something being done to Jesus the son of God? Even then Jesus explained the justification clearly that the oil was being used to prepare for his burial and that he is only around for a short while...meaning if he dies...everything can go back to status quo....
Pls tell me how that invalidates my argument. Donation to the church as you know it today isn't donation to Jesus!!!!!
Jesus told us he doesn't dwell in temples but in people. And what i give is immaterial...focus in the issue and not the person...let's sort out what is right and then we can talk about application later.
Jesus knew the poor will always be around and told us to spend in them if we want to spend in Him. Cos one we do it to them...we have done it to Him....that is what my scriptures says bro...ain't fighting u....just pointing you to where u have derailed. Someone like you will term mad a brother who sells his piece of land or house and takes the money to his pastor to do GOD'S work (Acts 4:34). Whether you give towards it or not, the Gospel will never lack financiers! Till JESUS returns to take the saints home, big donors won't cease. No pastor, no Christian assembly is accountable to you or anyone on expenditure of monetary contributions. Each one, plus you, will stand before the judgment seat to give account on what they did while they were here (Romans 14:10; 2 Corinthians 5:10). |

So the church should be run with your blood? What about those who sold their possessions and laid them to the apostles' feet? (Acts 4:33-37). If the temple is of no use, why was JESUS a regular worshipper at the temple? (Mark 14:49). In fact why did JESUS respond to a man's cry for help immediately He was told that the man had built a temple of worship for GOD? (Luke 7:1-6). Please don't infuriate with gibberish. Go read your Bible well. |

sucess001: So someone has 1m dollars and he chose not to use it to better lives of many poor Nigerians around him but to donate and get vain glory to the ministry based in the wealthiest nation on earth. And some so called Christians with no root whatsoever in Christianity are hailing this?
Wow! The modern Christians need to go back to studying scriptures. What percentage of your salary/earnings do you expend on charity weekly/monthly? I detest judgmental comments about others. Focus on what you are doing instead of what others are doing. Is it wrong if one person decides to support the church with a huge sum? If you are a miser, others are not. No wonder the wealthiest people alive are not the stingy ones. I am sure you would have stopped JESUS from wasting the alabaster box of precious ointment on Himself because there were many poor people around. According to you, the church doesn't deserve huge financial donations because there are poor people around, right? I think you need to read your Bible more (Matthew 26:7-11). The poor will always be around! Their presence should not stop the rich from spending their wealth. |

Every man comes to this life to fight and fend for himself, not to live for others. You should go make your own money and splash it on whom you please. I find it disgusting when you tell others what they should do with their wealth. Create your own wealth, don't be lazy!
