She messed up bigtime.....I can imagine how you feel, even with all the advice we are dishing out,its possible you will finally forgive and give her another chance cos love is something else. you
will hardly trust her again and without trust a relationship cannot work....Even if you finally forgive her,no need for another chance for any relationship at all....right now any action u take is actually justified tho...except dating her again.

Nigeria boasts a herd of dumb politicians in this dispensation. The economy is a mess, and you want to kindle economic war with multinationals? At the same time you are going about seeking foreign investments. Is there any multinational anywhere that doesn't repatriate funds to its home country? Nigerian politicians stupidly want to scare away potential investors now that the country needs investment direly. Shameless criminals who should be bothered more about their undeserved allowances than chasing away the few investors we have left, courtesy of Buhari's exorcised verbal recklessness.

Iyamu is riding on the wave of the bad economy (Pmb fg led apc poor performance)

If u check previous threads u will see most people supporting iyamu are citing poor economy as reason to boot out apc from the state & I wonder if SG N FG are the same.

Besides that I have no other idea... na y I dey hail esama and anenih those guys ehn.
You are very right on the bad economy being his campaign pedestal. Truly, the state of the economy will make people vote anything other than apc. Hunger alters brain function and tampers with mood. grin Do not blame the people. wink

To be honest I think the choice of obaseki was a brave one and bodes well for benin people.

Oshiomole couldn't have picked POI if he did by now POI would be coasting at the polls then once he assumes office he will discard oshiomole like akala -ladoja things.

So from a personal standpoint oshiomole made a very wise decision. But you're very right obaseki really didn't show or do enough during this campaign @ all.

From a party standpoint APC still has a lot of love from the people (I knw this via friends and fam there). Tho POI has proven resourceful whilst the igbenedions have played their politics very well with anenih doing what he does best but Forget pre-election wayo wayo ballot box will talk.

And i'm optimistic APC will triumph. It's only. Blunder if oshio lose grin
grin I didn't expect Oshiomhole to pick Iyamu, tears would have become his tea. grin Iyamu is not a messiah, but why he has become so popular still baffles me. I ain't vouching for any candidate, only expressing my views based on current realities.

Last presidential elections? Oga edo state gave buhari his highest number of votes in the SS or SE pdp didn't win it by any landslide.

It's shows the popularity of the party in the state over ethnic sentiments
You are the one who introduced the word "landslide" into this discussion. I used the word "preferred". Again I also said that apc was more popular two years ago, not today. I would be shocked if you disputed this. During the presidential election, apc's popularity was at an all-time high level. You would agree with me that it is a contrast of that today.

As for sentimental popularity, you are correct. So it is throughout the nation. Voters seldom vote for rational reasons. Buhari in Aso Rock, Wike in Rivers, Fayose in Ekiti, Aregbe in Osun....to name just a few. Yakubu's choice as running mate for Iyamu bolstered their chances remarkably because the Yakubu of a guy is popular where he comes from. You cannot say this of Shuaibu....forget about about his boss, Obaseki. A time when the party has drained in popularity isn't a time to come up with candidates of little charisma. The decision was a blunder!

I hope they do not regret it. Although it looks increasingly likely that they will.

auchi u mean?lol I hail your lies o
He might be correct. Somehow apc isn't as popular as it was two years ago. Many people would rather stay at home than cast their vote for a party that has considerably trimmed down their purchasing power. Nonetheless Oshiomhole did a great job as governor.

DeRay98:
Can everybody see that the school buildings used as voting centres are good condition?
These were all done by Oshiomhole's administration.
That's continuity Edo needs not the hate propagated just for election campaign purposes.
I perfectly understand you. Truth is Oshiomhole outclassed his predecessor in infrastructure. But the grouse against him have bothered on multiple taxation, hike in tax rates, introduction of new forms of taxes, employment scam, and foremost of all the imposition of Obaseki as his successor. I cannot deny the fact that Oshiomhole is very popular in Edo still. If he was the one contesting, he would have won by a large margin, unfortunately he isn't.

Edo loves Oshiomhole for his great works, but not apc as a party. Results from the last presidential elections showed that Edo voters preferred pdp to apc. So you see where I am coming from. Edo people vote personality and not party. Oshiomhole should be blamed if Obaseki loses at the polls. He, Obaseki, does not command followership, Edo people do not want this. Let me point out to you that if Iyamu is voted today, it is a vote for him and not for pdp. This election bothers wholly on personality, not party.

Well I know Oshiomhole will feel betrayed if Edo people abandon his handpicked successor for Iyamu now that he needs them to 'reward' him for his good performance. I would really feel for him. He did well. But the choice belongs to the people...and power belongs to GOD.
Politics › Re: 'Abdulmutallab, US Bomber To Vote In Edo' by mastermaestro(m): 7:18am On Sep 28, 2016
Someone said yesterday that if Obaseki loses, Oshio will attempt suicide. Sincerely I am beginning to believe this statement. The outgoing gov is too agitated and unsettled like someone who desperately wants to cover up massive mess by leaving his shadow (Obaseki) behind in government house. Power belongs only to GOD!

Edo people appreciate Oshio's administration to a reasonable extent, but he must allow them choose their next leader. His era has ended. He should move on.

Police in Lagos has been harrasing people since 1900BC... I can remember the day a friend of mine was arrested... it seems the officer's were so hungry that night. we were returning for a function around past nine at night.. They stopped us and started questioning us ,then proceeded to ask for our phone one after the other... They saw an image of this American rapper ( The game) holding two guns.. Next thing we heard was that the two guns have been reported stolen so we have to provide it or our friend goes to jail.. we all thought it was a joke that day, we payed 7k before they left us... Mafoluku, Airport Road is where those police made their own station now

Seun you wouldnt by any chance be aware that your site is becoming almost impossible to access every passing day?

Ok lemme put it this way. I have tried on NUMEROUS occasion in the past few weeks (using different browsers and phones) to access nairaland and all i get is "error 402" , "cloudflare bla bla"....or just "check internet settings".......

Just before you say it must been my phone config, i must Say i access whatever site i wish to with so much ease and speed.(same could be said of nairaland before buhari's regime).. None of such ish.

Recently someone noted in my small tech group

"How do nairaland even have 1000 visitors per day with a site that one can barely access without breaking a leg" ....

There and then it occured to me i wasnt alone.

Please seun omo osewa, fix this.

Back to free basics....

You are absolutely correct. I can hardly access Nairaland nowadays on my phone. It's sickening trying to open it, one has to try, retry and keep retrying. When it manages to open, it's very difficult for me to drop comments. The rate of disconnection is repulsive.

Travel › Re: AfricaRanking: 20 Worst Slums In Africa. by mastermaestro(m): 8:27am On Sep 10, 2016
Onegai:
Have any of you guys done Community Outreach? The problem with slum dwellers is a mental one. When your environment is so run-down it affects your thinking. However when people try and help you out of It, you fight them out od cynicism and fear of change. Even if Government built low-cost housing, it would end up the same. Almost all of the low-cost housing I've seen looks rundown no matter what in a few years' time ans the inhabitants don't bother to maintain it but scream for government to keep their homes clean. Even abroad it's the same: go to the bad neighbourhood, fix the lights in the local park amd the next night the lights are broken because criminals need the place dark.

Slum dwellers have to help themselves. In Lagos I've seen people volunteer (and i have volunteered) to go into slums and clean or do school renovations. Just a few joined us. Yet it's their school. People will be cleaning up the beach access to your island and you will be there, sitting nonchalantly. Then complain that you didn't get enough help. If we opened free libraries in the worst slums, how many parents would make their kids attend? At least you need basic knowledge of English and Maths to trade. They need it to be great but their apathetic nature won't allow them stir themselves to help. I remember seeing the day i I watched some men sit and laugh and gist as one of them was tampering with the newly constructed drainage on Orile Expressway. Later when it floods, they will scream "Government ignores us!"
You've got a pretty sound brain. I am impressed with your simplified depiction of slum life pattern. To help those people out takes more than give them money or building them houses. You must first take the slum out of their mind and character before physically relocating them from the slum.
