Who quits a job because of how unfriendly your colleagues are?I don't think it's out of place to leave a job when the atmosphere is not good. That people don't do it often in Nigeria doesn't mean it can't be done. Many an European manager leaves a club when the feelings arent right anymore. Who also quits a job when you don't have another offer?Well, that's the thing. I'm trying to get something though. People are entitled to feel, behave or talk what ever they want; that makes them humans. But i guess your last statement is what i should take strongly. I should just focus on myself and not get so suppressed by perfectionism. |
Cutehector:Thanks. |
INTROVERT:Thanks. Doing that already. |
accountable:I have never seen an argument emptier. |
Okay, we don hear! Typical crazy fans though, they'd do anything to rub some shine on themselves ![]() |
ladyF:Seconded! |
I have a thing that has been bothering me recently, so I want to share with you to seek advice. I work in a segment of the financial industry where, to put it succintly, you don't make a mistake. Better put, you shouldn't make a mistake. It's not advisable. If you do make one mistake, you are most certainly gonna get fired. Everyone understands this and tries their best to adjust. Work is complex and full of numerous procedures you have to learn through and through. It is expected that you should understand these procedures and try as much as possible not to make a mistake associated with human error. Now, unfortunately, I made a nasty mistake some weeks ago. But the company didn't release me. Before now, I had contributed quite significantly to boosting company revenues through some direct actions I took, and also in developing some creative financial solutions to help save a lot of money. Some of these financial solutions my company has made into businesses. One time, I managed to wring out a significant deal out of a tough client, and the parent company based in Houston rewarded me for this with an award. My thinking is that, they are not firing me because of these past achievements. I can't be too sure, so I'm still bracing for impact ![]() However, the deal is, a lot of people in the office are really beefing me right now. Some people have made only half a mistake and have been immediately fired. Lately, a lot more have been fired for quite other weird reasons, especially as we started losing work from oil clients. And I'm still standing, so it seems. I have a strong feeling of an unfriendly atmosphere around my colleagues; and I spot some refusal to associate with me, especially as some of those who have been fired were involved in the same issue for which I got not more than a slap on the wrist. I don't like the feeling I get from others, and I'm really thinking of leaving the company. But I have no other offers or job at the moment to go to. |
Remarkable! Said it before and will say it again. But I'm pretty certain Nigerians don't realize the magnitude of this. |
Wow! That's remarkable. |
Oh my goodness! ![]() |
Lol. Long distance indeed. |
I'll also post if i can see how the curve will look like. DEs solved with series solutions are just taylor series approximations of actual curves, either approximating it totally or partially. At least, as far as i can see. (refer to picture)...with the series solution approximating the curve at x =1 with increasing values of n.
|
agentofchange1:See below attachments for the solution. Typically would have loved to type them out here with html, but it'll be cumbersome. Don't know why this site is like that ![]() But a solution can't exist at x=0. I've explained all the details. Please bear with my almost illegible handwriting ![]() Solving normally... xy'-y-x-1=0 y'-y/x =1+1/x (x-1y)'=1/x + 1/x2 (x-1y) = Inx - 1/x y=xInx - 1 The power series solution is simply an approximation of the solution curve at x=1, which should give a good solution at that point. Should be desire a solution at any other point, we can do x = xo. We can't get a solution at x=0 because of the Inx curve. And the first order DE showed it in the coefficients of y' and y, since 1/x is not analytic at x=0.

Karmanaut:I actually disagree. I think there could be a series solution at an ordinary point like x=1, but certainly not at the singularity x = 0. |
Profmaojo:You welcome. |
Stycon:Lol ![]() If it's a win-win for her, it surely is gonna be a win-lose for the others. I'm good. |
Classic! ![]() |
Profmaojo:b + f =29...1 (b-7) = 2(f-7) -b+2f=+7...2 3f = 36 f=12 b = 29-12 =17 Bisi is 17; Fibie is 12. |
Stycon:That wasn't meant to the same degree. Probably just a little more. That could happen. In which case it's a win-win for her. |
zubby29:Lol. Thanks. |
I hope Nigeria wins ![]() |
Lazily made up. You actually can do better at concocting a real story. ![]() |
Absolute no biggie. Happens all the time in Hollywood. |
She probably just liked you as much as the other guy. |
NoMoreTrolling:A gift is certainly more cherishable than money. |
Oops! |
A god is what you make your mind up to believe in. He doesn't have to exist. Nigerians seek satisfaction in believing that a guardian creature is watching over them, merely for the sake of protecting them and ensuring that they prosper in whatever wrong/right they are doing. And indeed there are many wrongs. However, the Nigerian society has so redefined wrongs that it's a hard task making a distinction between evil and good. It's a gory, survival of the fittest story where all hands are allowed. |
Haha. Politicians will always be politicians. They sold you just enough promises to get into power |
Sirneij:Straight forward |
Oops! Not good Incidents like this reveal the incredibly pitiable state Nigeria has descended into. Words cannot express the enormity of this pity. Words simply cannot. ... and everyone goes about their business, afterwards. |
