I just saw this and so decided to share. It's hillarious http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/obasanjo-former-german-chancellor-schmidt-inspired-me/119423.html Obasanjo recounted that Helmut supported him when he aspired to be the United Nations Secretary General in 1991. “Helmut opened my campaign and sustained it with letters to various world leaders canvassing for my candidature,” he stated. This is the funniest thing I have ever heard. I wonder what Baba would feel, if ex president Goodluck Jonathan is picked to lead the UN.

Hasn't she already been buried |
I know this is a bit old but let me underscore the dangers of what our president did by meeting with the Ayatollah. These are tabloid headlines from 2011, when Fifa President, Sepp Blatter met with Robert Mugabe http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2011262/FIFA-attacked-Sepp-Blatter-meets-Robert-Mugabe.html http://www.theguardian.com/football/2011/jul/05/sepp-blatter-robert-mugabe-fifa http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/8617546/Fifa-president-Sepp-Blatter-meets-with-Zimbabwe-dictator-Robert-Mugabe.html But unlike our President, Sepp Blatter still made time, to visit the Zimbabwe opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai President BUHARI left Iran, without meeting the liberal President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani. What will the west think of us.

Life has a funny way of turning the finger you point at others around. The Onus is now on him and his boss to proffer solutions to the problems they were always highlighting during the last dispensation. And so far, they aren't doing so well. |
Where are the tweets |
M4gunners:Why do men always have to assume women only marry for money. This post is misogynistic in nature. You, guys should allow her grieve, instead of airing your daily women bashing views. |
Read What Tinubu Has To Say About Prince Audu’s Death NOVEMBER 24, 2015 BY ADMIN Late Prince Audu Abubakar Gave His All To Kogi – Bola Tinubu REACTION BY ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU TO THE DEATH OF FORMER GOVERNOR ABUBAKAR AUDU OF KOGI STATEhonorary title holder of Lagos, honored by the late Oba of Lagos, Oba Oyekan. Very kind, generous and at ease with his friends and with the people, Audu wanted to make his state a better place. That was his driving concern. His people loved him because of this and he loved them in return. He was a man of great vision, committed to the Nigerian project and committed to the well-being of his people. He loved Kogi passionately. As was his character, Prince Audu gave his all during this election campaign because he wanted to move Kogi to a better place. His death is painful and has stunned us his friends, political associates and particularly his family. My heart reaches out to his loved ones. My prayers are with them. May God comfort them as only He can during this sad period. And may they take solace in the fact that Prince Audu was an outstanding figure and great leader of men. They have a right to be proud of who he was. We must serve his memory well by continuing to serve the people and by carrying on as he would want us to do. We celebrate his life and times. Both his deeds and dreams will outlive him no doubt. I sympathize with the people of Kogi State on the passing of their illustrious son, who was such a colorful and progressive politician. Whenever the history of Kogi politics, nay Nigerian politics, is written it will be remembered that a Prince of the Niger was once here. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu http://eyeopenerblog.com/read-what-tinubu-has-to-say-about-prince-audus-death/ |
Ogbeh should realise we are in 2015. He shouldn't be using 1983 political jingles now. The last dispensation was quiet on their strategy until they rolled out the mobile money scheme. He should borrow a leaf from Adesina and be innovative. The campaigns are over, governance begins now. |
shizzy7:Sorry about that. I just wanted to tie his speech to the pic |
Promhize:Everyone is allowed freedom of association and choice. Attacking people for the choices they make is undemocratic and inhumane. Besides, he made a good point in his tweet. Labour productivity is hampered by a drop in assets. |
How do these guys come up with this. |
I just saw this, and thought I should share it. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/nigeria-is-broke-buhari-declares/ http://saharareporters.com/2013/12/29/2014-fg-maintain-presidential-jets-n152bn-punch http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/presidential-jets-buhari-spent-only-n2b-not-n6b-for-maintenance-presidency/ http://punchng.com/fg-spends-n5-8bn-on-presidential-jets-in-six-months/

They don't sound like soldiers of the NA. They should be speaking pidgin or Hausa, not French mixed with African languages. |
Habakus:Precisely, if the FG was honest with Nigerians, people like the OP would not have the avenue to create euphoria against the government. I am afraid, that this administration, has started reading from the same book as the former. And we all know what became of them. Truth, 94% of the time is priceless. |
As the name implies, BEER PARLOR GOSSIP. |
This has APC Kogi faction, written all over it. |
Freegift75:I wish I could agree with your opinion, but the fact is, that if INEC, do not revert their stand and prepare for a fresh election, we will end up at the tribunal and the APC interim state government, will be sacked from Kogi state. Why waste our time, then. |
explorer250:That is inconsequential. Now to the topic, I disagree with the fact, that INEC should continue with the supplementary elections. But I agree with the OP, on the issue of continuing with Faleke as the APC gubernatorial candidate. But, for their own good, they should go with Echonu, because, even if Faleke is made govenor, his tenure will be hellish and disastrous. Kogi is not Osun. |
ki02020:Whereas the PDP, in honour of the sanctity of human life and respect for the dead, had since Sunday refrained from making comments on the conduct of the election, we can no longer maintain such in the face of the barefaced attack on our democracy. |
This is exactly what I am saying. For the institutions to retain their integrity, the best thing for the government to do is to ask the INEC chairman to resign, and ask the AGF to revert his stance. How can you allow an election that was conducted two weeks after the board was reconstituted, to stand. And to add to it, this whole Audu issue, together with the results being inconclusive. You still decide to go on with the charade. The government, should wake up and do the right thing. The election should be cancelled and a new date set. |
Its no more news that power distribution and generation has dropped. I wonder where the TCN is getting its facts from. |
Another propaganda extravagant wasteful jamboree. Just another day of business for the information minister |
Omotolu:Both the constitution and the electoral act did not envisage the situation in Kogi. The elections were declared inconclusive. If the winner had been announced, this would have been the appropriate decision. |
This is totally unacceptable. The AGF should have called for fresh elections. So as to have a fair and free dispensation, a fresh election is the only thing that should have sufficed. If INEC wants to be taken serious, they should discountenance the AGF's interpretation and announce a day for Fresh elections. This is Fraud. |
I'm glad that Mrs Remi Tinubu has burried the hatchet, and has agreed to work with the Senate leadership, to enact laws that will move this nation forward. Her conduct at the ministerial screening of Obanikoro last year is still fresh in my mind. She really disgraced women, on that day. I hope, this is am indication that Saraki and the President, will now look into how to solve the persistent fuel distribution crisis. The effect of this scarcity is telling on Nigerians, in every part of the nation. |
Where is the comment about dogs. OP, I can't see anything like that in his tweets. |
ki02020:They still have to be commended for displaying this level of sportsmanship. Would you rather them, make slanderous statements, that would heat up the polity. |
fineguy11:Even Russia needs the US. |
"Two young men engage in a fight over food. Heavy security deployed at Audu's compound ahead of burial. The crowd here is insisting he is alive." Even on this day of all days, people failed to give a good account of themselves. It's a pity |
I hope this will stop the rumour mills |
I hope she will not go the way of DSP and Audu Abubakar. Despite the rumours and allegations against her, we women still see her as a role model. |

....what do expect them(PDP) to say when they are losing at the moment and they are given a cheap chance to woo voter with their hunky panky condolence message
