NgeneUkwenu:Students like this, tell themselves that their GPA of 1.35 after their first semester exams, is no problem. That they will recover by the second or third year. So they continue playing with their time, and deluding themselves. By the third year, their GPA is still crawling at 1.25. But their mindset, will be, at 400 level, I will blast. At the end of the day, they are lucky enough to come out with a PASS. Ngenekwenu, 4 years is not an eternity. The time to show gains is now, not at the end of four years. |
SR should tell it to Garba Shehu, and wait for his incredulous explanation. By the way, whatever happened to Femi Adesina, haven't heard his voice in a while. I hope he is not losing steam, if so, he should with all dignity intact, resign from his position. |
According to a source This is unfortunately, where this story meets a brick wall We have learnt our lesson, especially after we read about this http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/treasury-looters-now-returning-stolen-funds-buhari-2/ But later saw this https://www.naij.com/650914-new-finance-minister-raises-alarm-says-buhari-yet-give-details-recovered-loot.html The President should give us the names of the erring thieving generals, and state categorically, the charges against them and how far they have gone in their investigation. Enough of this side show attractions, the government should get to work. |
There is no need to reach across to Faleke. Just placate his boss, Tinubu, and if successful, Faleke will fall into line. But I believe the NWC of the ruling party and the Kogi faction of the APC will have brought both warring factions to a compromise, at the eleventh hour, prior to the elections. |
GEJ sure has a way with words. Besides the Azikwes, Awolowos and Balewas, he is the most charismatic, literary leader we have ever had. Delivering speeches is unfortunately a minus with his successor. |
They are not indigenes of the state. Probably thugs smuggled in, to practice propaganda. I wonder how Sylva intends to win the election through futile propaganda gimmicks. |

Demburrows:This is the SMARTEST and MOST INTELLIGENT comment I have seen today. Also it is quite evident that the executive is fond of sugarcoating undemocratic measures it introduces, by pointing out irrational and unreasonable gains attached to this measures. Another example is the manoeuvre by INEC in the inconclusive Kogi election, where the number of voters with collected PVC's is far below the gap between both the leading candidate and the runner up. INEC had no basis, for declaring the election inconclusive, except it was a direct cancellation of the entire election. Could this be a test run of the executive and INEC to beat the trap of effective and fair collation of votes with the use of PVC's. The answer is left in the sands of time. |
honestivo:They are united against the attempts of the executive and the NWC of the ruling party, to docile and annex the legislature for its own selfish and dictatorial reasons. This is why the Senate leadership of Saraki is the bitter pill we must swallow, if we want this country to remain a democratic nation. |
benedictnsi:A lecturer that in his school days, came off with a 2nd class, is the best man for the job of warning and encouraging students to strive for the attainment of a first class. |
GudluckIBB:I guess, to you, insulting and throwing cheap shots at the ex President, so as to divert public attention from the lapses of his predecessor, has become a sport to you. |
Splashme:When Sahara Reporters lambasted the President's incessant diplomatic visits, what was your opinion of the source and reportage. Let's stick to addressing issues, and leave the job of verifying the journalistic standards of the source to the NBC. |
This is a novel and brilliant idea. Am shocked it came of the top of the brain of an oil marketer. We have other ports in Nigeria, and we can even dredge some of our rivers to create more. So why should Lagos have a monopoly on the shipping and docking of ships transporting crude and refined petroleum. This is why we have vigorously campaigned for the passing of the PIB. So that the monopoly that has plagued down the oil sector will be ended and so, become a thing of the past. And if Mr President, does not change one thing in our oil sector, especially the subsidy issue and the PIB, then I will be forced to pitch my tent with the school of thought that claims that the President is an active beneficiary of the scam and sleeze that exists in the oil sector, and so sought the office of the President of FRN as a means to protect his investments. |
As a student of any of the higher educational institutions in the country, you are adjudged to have commenced your scorecard and acquisition of credits that will be summated into your GPA, from the very first day, an attendance sheet is passed round the class for each student to fill. No student who is logical and mentally balanced will wait till the day of GST 111 and 112 to begin his acquisition of credits. The president has began his own acquisition of credits in his scorecard, and so far, he has a GPA of 1.45, which is poor, but bestows on him, a chance for improvement. In fact he has even written his first exams. Four months is the average lifespan of a semester in every university. So therefore, I would select option B: He has performed badly |
bettercreature:That is why the government, INEC and the security agencies need to work extra-hard to protect the number one civic right of anyone that is adjudged to be a citizen of the Federal republic of Nigeria. |
I'm glad, that he is now keeping to time on international events, and is no more missing important developmental events. |
It's your right and your choice, and no one can take that from you. |
Madam NOI is right. The question should be posed to the President, on what he meant, by Abacha not being corrupt. |
Jonathan and Patience appear to be looking happier since leaving Aso Rock For all those who claim and believe the erstwhile President condoned and participated in corruption and financial embezzlement, you should ask yourself one question. Would a corrupt man who is knowledgeable of his impending indictment, move around as free as a bird. Both his living predecessor and his successor owe him and the nation an apology. |
The lies that men tell, spread on, long after their creators have been busted. Only the president, his cook and his doctor know the treasury that currently plays host to the invisible loot. |
And people wonder why Sahara Reporters has started criticising the President. As for Faleke, he better comport himself and act as a smart politician. Because whether he likes it or not (if the APC do coast into Lugard house), Yahaya Bello is going to be his boss. He better get used to that, and start their relationship on a good note, because if their partnership fails, he is going to end up back at the Lagos state house of assembly saying ay and nay. |
It is laudable that they are engaging the public through the media, and so are stirring their awareness and thus making them security conscious. But it would be much better, if they also have a contingency plan, on how to act, if there is indeed a strike. About 50% of the deaths during a bomb blast happen hours after the attack. |
Boko Haram has an army of willing mercenaries from Chad who cross the porous border to join its ranks for the booty they get from raids on villages," said the former Maiduguri university lecturer. "So, Boko Haram can easily replenish its ranks when depleted by the military attacks." Does the NA know of this anomaly. If they did, they wouldn't be showing us pics of flying pots, seized rice bags, burnt crops and roasted chicken. An army that has access to limitless supplies is best proclaimed the victor |
captainflash:The questions and answers are best interpreted and proffered by you, the reader. |
Are we truly winning the terrorism war. Is Boko Haram really on the backfoot. Is the December deadline still a reality. Are the attacks by Boko Haram a reflection of their futile resistance to their purported extermination. Or is it a show of test of their superiority over our security agencies. Is Boko Haram really the world's 3rd most deadly violent and terrorist group. Questions and more questions m.news24.com/Nigeria/National/News/questions-over-boko-haram-attacks-despite-military-claims-of-success-20151127-6 http://m.news24.com/nigeria/National/News/questions-over-boko-haram-attacks-despite-military-claims-of-success-20151127-6 |
All may not be well with the President's attempt to pass a supplementary budget to settle the 413 Billion naira subsidy. Hon. Leo Ogor (Delta PDP) is the Minority Leader in the House of Representatives. In this interview with Damilola Oyedele, Ogor frowns on the N413 billion proposed for fuel subsidy payment in the supplementary budget recently sent to the legislature by President Muhammadu Buhari, and discusses other political issues http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/leo-ogor-the-apc-federal-governments-astronomical-subsidy-payment-is-unacceptable/226579/ |
luckylucky:I admire your enthusiasm and diehard support. But you should know one thing: All politicians tell lies, you can't judge them by their words or stories, you can only Rate them by their clear and evident results. And so far, unfortunately, the president has not scored above 1.45. |
Very soon we will have over 170 million wailers in this country. I wonder what the APC will tell us then. |
People are asking for evidence. Just on another thread, someone was trying to draw our attention to unrest and violence in Kogi, we thought the guy was talking balderdash, because he didn't state his source- He claimed he was live at the scene. Before anyone could say jack, a commentator showed pics of the attack being reported by the AIT news channel. Very soon, someone will provide evidence of this protest. |
doctokwus:There are people on this forum who have become so heartless, that their comments now look like repetitive data from a spam robot. |
So the OP is actually saying the truth. But I think he saw it on the AIT news bar and chose to be clever about it. He is in no way, at the scene of the attack. Mohammed Audu needs to stop this nonsense, and let the APC hierarchy handle the issue at hand. Does he intend to force the hand of the APC NWC with violence. |
Sirnokiopee:Go and read up on the psychology of rape and you will realise that Sugabelly is displaying clear case characteristics of a rape victim. That dog, you are defending, is responsible for the way she is now. |
