A suggestion is not a must to implement. Giving everyone a chance to let you know what they want from you is good for the growth of any business..
As for me, i do not really support the idea of a new look (With graphics and all) this will drag the speed cos of time needed to load all the graphics should they change css n look.

My brother i wouldn't exactly know what Alpha and Omega means, but one thing is sure.
MD5 is like burning of wood (combustion reaction).
After burning, the wood turns to ashes. There's no way known to man to turn the ashes back to fresh wood as it was...
However, an experienced farmer who has been burning wood all his life can look at a certain ash and say this is an ash from the Iroko tree, This is because he has been burning lots of iroko trees. But what happens when someone keeps burning billions of variety of trees? how will the farmer know ?

So also is MD5, it's one way, cannot be reversed. You can have a database and store your own md5 hash there.

MD5 is a one-way encryption.
It cannot be decrypted.
Say for example, my plain text password is : apple the hash can be 039303dbdbdu4839dhdhd whatever.
Now, nobody can revert it back to apple.

What you find in certain websites claiming to decrypt MD5 hash is simply a database collection of known CLEAR TEXT to HASH values.

This is actually my first topic since i've been using Nairaland. I find this website a very interesting,entertaining and interactive one.
Here's just a few suggestion i feel Nairaland.com authors should include to make this forum a better experience.

1. Include a dislike button.
When someone writes something nice, it is common for us to click on like showing our consent and approval of the person's view/opinion.
But wouldn't it be nice also for us to be able to show our frown and disapproval to some very improper comments? like the constant Tribal issues, END TIME DISEASE and misplaced advertisement.
This way, there would be no need to "quote" a person's whole comment and use abusive words just to let them know we disapprove of their view/opinion. Instead we just click the dislike button.
Furthermore, this action will help to reduce the MOD's constant work of searching and hiding posts. Simply automate it such that if a person's dislike becomes too much, the comment is automatically hidden.

2. 'Quote' notification.
Just like we are notified when someone likes our post. It will also be nice to be notified via our login page when someone quotes our comment. This is because anyone quoting you obviously needs your attention to either answer a question or make your points clearer or simply just disapproving or agreeing to whatever it is you may have said.
Also, it will be nice to know who "liked" your comment.(This may not totally be important)

3. Banning.
Banning a person's username is a total waste of time. He/she simply creates another. Nairaland is a free website. My suggestion, why not bann and add the person's IP to a blacklist table. If that is not effective, can you also use cookies to identify a previous offender ?

U want a login page 2 direct users dat hav logged in to d page dat brought them 2 d login page. E.g u hav a job site, and d person didn't login once he/she entered d site, and started searching 4 jobs, and afta goin 2ru a lot of pages, he/she wants 2 apply but he's den taken 2 d login page 2 login. After login in, u want d person 2 b directed back 2 d page dat he was on b4 and not 2 d home page or any static page, bearing in mind dat d person can refresh d page and thus makin $_SERVER['HTTP_REFFERER'] to become empty.

i think you can simply do this,
To preserve your $_SERVER['HTTP_REFFERER'], make it a session variable.
Then on upon successful login, you redirect using an IF statement. See sample..
