Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the ideal candidate will be to:

Market and sell event center’s services such as hall letting, subscription and exhibition.
Perform client-facing role(s).
Create database of all customers’ contact information, services requested/enjoyed and other details to monitor their behavior, and network with customers in order to maintain links and promote additional services.
Come up with marketing strategies to enter new markets, follow up with leads and seal deals.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the ideal candidate will be to:

Responsible for assisting the Venue Manager of event center, coordinates
set up and clearing of centers for all events

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Set up meetings with event planners and vendors
• Receive floor plan from clients or event planner and set up centers based on requirement
• Ensures event planners/client sign off on all agreements for center set up especially chair and table arrangement
• Ensure security deposit is made by vendors before commencing hall setup
• Coordinate technical staff in ensuring proper set up centers, this include light toilet and hall.
• Provide event planner/client with a checklist of all items provided and get sign off.
• Liaises with the account officers to reconcile material taken from inventory
• Work with account officers on damages that may have occurred during event and charges incurred by client
• Responsible for making delivers of items were required\necessary

Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree HND from a reputable university
• Experiences in an event center management
• Numerate background will be preferred
• Work experience in logistics, facility management will be an advantage
• A Male is preferred for this role

Please need comment not just views. I am sure there are others also going through situations like this.

A friend recently got a new job in November. It dawned on him at the month-end the employer cant pay his full salary instead got a cheque of about 45% of his salary to hold until he gets more money (Today makes it 3rd working day after cheque was presented and hasnt still been cleared). Mind you my friend took a pay-cut to take this new job in-order to have a career path and he was employed with two others.

Please what actions can be taken against this employer. This trend has to stop.
